This is a perfect review, thank you so much! We are moving across the country (with 3 young kids 😫) and we have 18 hours of driving and I think the Yoto mini will be prefect for us!
The sound on the larger Yoto is louder/ slightly better quality. Overall, my kids do not notice the difference and I find both to have good sound quality. You can also control the sound volume through the app!
@@TaraWilloughby i don't have a yoto player, because i don't listen to music much. i hate spotify for their new features. but i like that i can make my own cards. i'm so creative. your tutorials are helpful though!
Yes, the original Yoto is louder. The mini does have a decent amount of sound, but the original has a louder range. You can adjust the volume on both the mini and original. Hope that helps!
@@TaraWilloughby thanks for the reply! Is the mini loud enough to hear in the car without headphones (or more importantly with 2 crazy brothers running around shouting)?
@@jodymallon7831 it’s definitely loud enough to hear without headphones. I actually adjusted the volume in the app so it couldn’t go to full volume. Not sure about screaming brothers, headphones might be better for that 🤣
My understanding is that once the content is purchased, the account holder can play it on any Bluetooth device from their phone. So car rides, walks, speakers at the park, etc. Wouldn't the mini be obsolete?
If you want your kid to be able to independently play their content then no. That’s what I love about yoto is that I don’t have to play the content for my kid. She can do it all herself. I would never purchase both. The big Yoto player is awesome and can still be used in the car although it’s a bit large.
Thank you both for adding those important points. I used a promotion to buy the Mini (it's expired now). Does anyone get a kick out of adjusting the settings while their child is on the player? I think it's fun.
There is a code for $10 off in my description box, if that isn’t working let me know! I’ve reached out to Yoto for a new code but have not heard back from them yet.
Thank you for getting to the point and being organized. All I wanted to know is which one was a better choice for us.
Glad it was helpful!
Just a thought but you don’t need the official yoto card case - you can use trading card binders, like vault X.
Such a help!! Thank you so much. This is just what I was looking for❤

@@TaraWilloughby do you have a new promo code?
@@brooke9417 sorry, they have not given me a new code :(
This is really helpful, thank you so much. Totally agree about the Tonie figures too.

Love your little basket for cards. Where did u get it from? Also would love to see a video of your favorite cards and what MYO you have made.
The basked is a set of baskets from Ikea! I plan to make more Yoto content which will include our favorite cars & MYO cards!
@@TaraWilloughby thank you
Thank you so much for your review! It was really helpful 👏🏻

Where is your card case from? Love your video thank you!
It is from the Yoto website!
Good review but you didn't mention anything about sound quality between the two? How do they compare?

@@TaraWilloughby 😂 not sure anything could drown that out. I think we're going to go with the mini. Thanks for all the info!
Excellent. Thanks Tara

Yes, I was going to say what Caitlyn said. The wonderful part of the Yoto is the freedom and independence it gives your children!

Can you turn off the radio and podcast features?
yes, you can do it in the settings.
What if my toddler gonna be taking cards in her mouth, is that gonna affect work?
Hmm, I probably wouldn’t recommend for a toddler that is still mouthing.
Do you have a promo code? After your video I made up my mind about the mini player
