Not to mention it looked empty.... id like to see them drop an engine block from 2 to 3 feet up and see how it fares then do the same to something built in the 80s or 90s.
The best part about car videos on RUclips is the commenters defending and bashing brands like a clingy girlfriend talking about her ex. Also, not digging that trucks get taller and blunter noses each passing generation. That cannot be good for aerodynamics.
jonathan billings Amazing the changes you see over the last 50 years on these. My dad and I recently restored a 65 1/2 ton 4x4 with the straight axles and drum brakes, and I know it's like comparing apples and oranges, but it's literally a tank vs. a buckboard wagon lol. Used to be built simply for work and now its a hybrid luxury car/truck. Take the 65 through this and the driver would probably have internal bleeding before the truck shakes its self apart.
For some reason people are willing to defend their favourite company with their lives. Insult "their" company and they feel like you insulted them personally. It's pretty mind boggling (and stupid) if you ask me.
Fords been doing a really good job since about 2011, around when the ecoboost drivetrains launched. I test drove a 2012 F150 and silverado, and I really enjoyed the ecoboost. The silverado was nice because I was used to driving suburbans but I thought I'd try something different. The only complaint I have is that the wheels seize to the hubs because they are aluminum, but I could easily change that by buying steel wheels
+ItsBotchGaming I've always been a Ram guy. I don't own a truck from any maker though so I can't say who is better. I just like the way the Rams look. My friend's dad has a 2012 Sierra and it's alright. The back seats can be a little uncomfortable sometimes on longer drives though.
I have an uncle who works at a Ford truck plant an he told me that these videos are b.s and when they show these tests they are upgraded after market suspensions and they weld extra supports to the bodies. It's all propaganda and b.s.
I only go with Ford because of my height, I'm 6'3. To my knowledge, Ford has the best ergonomics. I can even fit in the subcompact cars by Ford, Chevy I cannot.
ryan hildebrand Owned by the italian's, Made in Mexico, and the worst selling truck of the American big three. A D150 250 was the last of the good ram trucks.

okigojuryu 1979 you do realize most of the people that buy gmc Sierra is not Chevrolet Silverado’s is because they’re buying them for the luxury aspect and the fact that if you drive a big truck around town they think that they look more like a man
Belle video.
No doubt that F150's are well made and well tested, I have a 2004 F150 with well over 200K on the original engine and trans and runs like a champ, however, it isn't the drive-train that falls apart, it's the electrical and body starts to rust, hopefully the aluminium body will hold up longer, only time will tell.
***** Gorideyurbike Dogurasu walwalka F-150 has always had the toughest frame above all else. They're the best work truck you can buy, which is what most trucks boil down to - "What can the frame handle?" Any truck can be luxurious and offer alot of tech. Price & incentives alone aren't going to sell twice the amount that GM sells, but the price factor is fairly important and helps some buyers lean towards Ford i'm sure....why would they buy a silverado or whatever the fuck, when the F-150 is a more well-rounded vehicle that has a more well-engineered driveline & costs less on top of that? Also in my opinion GM has the best advertising out of the big 3 anyway, seems like they're constantly pushing new ads on a weekly basis and they're pretty clever about it too. Except for the fact that their products aren't as good as Mopar or Ford and they blatantly lie about fuel economy. With rear gearing anywhere close to one another, there's no way a 6.2 pushrod is going to see better fuel economy than a 6.2 SOHC or a 5.0 F-150, unless you shut off cylinders in the chevy. Its valve actuation isn't nearly as accurate at any rpm as an OHC engine, and there is far more friction in the valvetrain.
Big deal! I used to put trucks through way worse treatment on the job. This just reminds me of a bunch of college boys thinking they are doing it right when in reality the world outside their little universe is a lot rougher.
Don't underestimate "University boys", those people are there for a reason, to test and qualify the product. I'm a rancher, you have no idea how easy it is to drive a car to pieces just with shitty dirt and rock roads. That's if you can even call those trails roads.
amurican35 No they are not "made tough". The new trucks are a joke and not just from Ford either. We had a 2013 Powerstroke and after 5months on the farm the frame had severe issues. We have not had a new truck over the year 2008 last more than a year or two on our farm. All of our other trucks get beat to shit on and off road while towing and 8 of them have over 300K miles the Fords from 01 and older and the Chevys from 06 and older, and 1 02 Dodge. They are all diesel as well.
I am thinking about getting the 2015 or 2016 with the 2.7L, I am not impressed by the flexy frame on 6:16minutes, ford should also follow dodges 5 link rear suspension, I hate axle hop, I am curious what the offroad package will come with? please, no 20in rims! I am also considering the Ram, although I love the aluminium body and under 5000. lbs...
+adsabine1 I agree on the frame flex! Ford has long touted the frame strength of the F-150 compared to the competition but that looked excessive to me! Dodge's suspension still has axle tramp on rough roads, I've driven my Dad's '14 Ram down some washboard dirt roads and the back end still tries to come out but they have definitely improved it over traditional leaf springs. Big rims are not for trucks, in my opinion. They just get scuffed up or bent from lack of sidewall to cushion them from impact. The aluminum body is nice, but the Rams still get similar fuel economy. It's a hard choice between a Ram and a Ford but, frankly, I think you can get a nicer Ram for less money. The Hemi has plenty of power and will do 22 MPG highway at 75 MPH, tows really well, and is a proven reliable engine. I don't buy into the diesel craze but the EcoDiesel does even better on fuel than an EcoBoost...
People stop arguing about Chevy and Ford. I'm a die hard ford guy, but i still have the respect to say they are both amazing trucks and will serve as viable usefulness way beyond the average truck user will take it to.
Looked like that front bumper was held on by zip ties at the end. And all the suspension squeaks when bent or manipulated. That is a long time ford problem that annoys me. I'm still not sold on this new look either. Time will tell if these are good trucks or not.
You heard the machine squeaking. And GMC actually had a bumper fall off in one of their commercials, haha. This truck will outsell everything, again, for like nearly the 40th straight year.
GodnCountry65 Every truck has its ups and downs. but it all depends on how you take care of it. i had friends that kick the shit out of there dodge then complain how its bad. i still use a 2000 dodge ram 1500 sport and it still goes strong. it all comes down to how you take care of it
***** Dude your comparing breaking parts in a diesel, which is extremely catastrophic, to breaking parts in a gasoline engine. Of course the repair is going to be expensive. Breaking a rocker arm is completely different than breaking a lifter. Also shame on you for driving the truck 50 miles with a broken rocker arm. Your lucky you didn't drop a valve in the cylinder head.
+Wild_Gaming I was expecting military test grounds but hey, few vehicles are designed for off-road only and hopefully you aren't planning to drive at full speed on extremely irregular terrain
Did you do any research on that? 2014 Silverado - usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Chevrolet_Silverado-1500/2014/Safety/ 2014 f150 - usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Ford_F-150/2014/Safety/
Ray Castillo Because, you know, Ford has never had any recalls that caused significant amounts of deaths... typical Ford fan boy, thinks Ford is the greatest thing and just flat out denies their flaws. Ford makes some decent vehicles but their engines from the late 90s up until the last few years were garbage in the trucks.
These "torture" tests were so underwhelming. Not one test did I see any weight in the bed what a joke. Cuz I'm def not gonna put anything in the back ever, right?
+Leonardo Mateos lol that's why GM is being sued because the new v8 Silverado can't tow 8100lbs like they advertised. and another thing the v6 f150 can tow 8800lbs now explain that you dumb ass no shut before you talk shit bitch
Ford makes tough truck powertrains, durable frames, and good ergonomics. Now, interior quality is absolute shit from past experience all Ford "leather" seats will begin to tear at 30,000 miles. Trim pieces will start to fall off at about 50,000 miles and bad design/engineering flaws will begin to show soon after. I.E. Explorer, rear glass hatch cracks on all vehicles. Bad weather stripping on all Fords. Interior paint on trim and buttons peeling. Melting cruise control buttons I.e. Ranger & explorer sport. Exterior trim pieces fading, cracking etc. But I digress I'm willing to give Ford a second chance and will damn sure buy this truck in one of its many forms.
I don't know where you get your info but I still have my dads 73 F100 with over 500 k on it and the only problem other than normal wear and tear is rust at the bottoms of the doors. That's normal for anything made of steel 41 years ago. I also have recently talked to the people who bought my 91 & 00 F 150s both with over 200k on them and they are still running well. I drove the crap out of my 91 hauling heavy equipment and tractor trailer parts including complete Fuller & Spicer transmissions and SQHD & SSHD front & rear tandem rear ends and complete rear ends including axles & drums attached. I hauled tracks for drag lines and complete Cat, Cummins & Detroit diesel engines. I rarely had less than a ton in the bed for over 100 k. I never did anything but regular service & one ser of brake pads & shoes. My 89 Chev Silverado stayed in the shop with electrical problems & front end issues. My 87 & 92 Dodges has trans problems constantly. Even my 91 Dodge D250 with a Cummins had trans problems and rattled like an empty tin can. Load it down like my Ford F 150 gas model and the Dodge would be in the shop the same or next day. If you don't have a lot of experience with these trucks you don't have any idea what you are saying so keep your mouth shut until you have a couple million miles driving every make there is under extreme loads & circumstances.
my 2011 f-150 has 78,000 mile nothing falling off yet still rides like new ..but its that time i need a tune up on my shocks since they have to be change every 60,000 miles and transmission fluid
Oh the 2015 Ford F-150 is so damn sexy and so are its bigger brothers but ive always had a soft spot for dodges and im starting to come around to chevy and GMC just here recently since obama saved that ass but my biggest problem with GM is EVERYBODY and their grandma has one and they all basically look the same.... Its like they come off the assembly line with a cheap lift and mass produced rims and tires... Dont get me wrong GM makes a nice truck BUT they all kinda look the same when the dealership adds that extra flair. Fords and dodges look clean as a mother fucker just comming off the assembly line and so do GM's but it just seems like to me when they end up at the dealer ship they all end up looking pretty the same
Tries to add that extra flair by buying a cheap lift and a set of rims. What i mean by that is they all have the same exact lift height and the same basic rim style. I know ford and dodge does the same i guess i just dont notice as much.
joe Costello Im guessing your a chevy driver? Bc ive literally seen truck loads of tbe Silverado with the same exact paint. Same exact "after market" lift kit sitting on the same exact "after market" wheels.... I Dont think dodge and fords loot at all alike but i know GM and Chevy are identical trucks
with 260k original miles on my 06 F150, I will be very difficult for me to buy anything other than a Ford. These tests prove they take durability and reliability seriously at Ford.
+bababooey7576 I love people like you, who only search a video to hate on it, you must have such a important, busy, fun life. anyway, what company do you like, Champ?
***** LOL, and we have our first bite. I was going to put a tongue-in-cheek vibe in that question when I typed it, ie. a wink or some kind of indication I wasn't totally serious. I thought it more fun this way. Someone always types in ----- sucks or that sucks etc.and I hadn't seen any ford haters with their ignorant comments, so I thot I'd enter what I did, not being serious. I couldn't care less about brands. each has their strengths/weaknesses...
***** Yeah, it kind of was witty. it gave me something to respond to. I would have gone off in the same way had I seen a jack-ass comment such as mine in the comments section. It is true regarding the searching for and then watching videos of things you can't stand then commenting about it. I have used that one on others before.
i like how the new chevy truck commercial show how strong they are, almost every new chevy weve had has has worse electrical problems than if i had just used electrical tape to put them together.
Our 2011 f150 has 120,000 miles on it and no problems yet just annual check ups and new tires brake the usual stuff and still going strong dont be mad because f150s sell more than silverados 1500. They sell more for a reason.
120,000 miles that cute our 06 silverado has 170,000 miles on it never had a problem we had a 91 silverado with 370,000 original motor and trans still pulling strong. My dad friend has a 89 silverado single cab work truck that has 750,000 miles V6 and Manual trans all original i never seen a f150 get that high
Those new Fords look great. It is amazing how much juice they get out of those 2.7 V6. 164 cubes and 325 hp/ 375 lb feet of torque. I wonder if they will hold up?
In Russia we just call it driving
+SemNikit here in michigan its the same as driving on a back road :P
MarkTheAmazing yep i know right
In Oklahoma we call it taking the interstate.
SemNikit Quebec too!
Lol
YES!!! Finally a "torture test" video without the staged winnings against competitors and annoying narrators. This video is awesome.

how much higher could u lift it

how often are you dropping a drum from more than 1 foot onto your bed? and what the fuck kind of job are you doing that at
.... when is that ever going to happen? why would that be a necessary test?
+Jack Toohey maybe because people will buy these trucks as their company trucks
Torture test? This is your average Michigan road.
A torture test where nothing breaks is just a commercial.
trefod Exactly, torture it 'till it breaks.
+Po Russki like what top gear did to the Toyota Hilux lol that was quite a show XD
+trefod They broke the leaf spring atleast 3:42
+Reikis645 they didn't break the leaf springs that is how they are

thats why they covered it in plastic lol
Actually they were destroyed moron
Whoosh
3:26 That's what BED LINERS are for.
A $500 option thats worth every penny. One of the best things you could get for a truck if you plan on using the bed.

mhm
+ItsBotchGaming I don't think so. Ford forever
I think it did really well, not sure why the F150 gets so much hate.
TyzGamin 🤮🤮🤮MC DONALD BUT THE F150 is the best selling truck for many years
TyzGamin STFU I AM NOT🖕🏻
@TyzGamin The camaro guys say the same thing to the mustang guys.
cuz there are cocky chevy and dodge fanboys

Andy 12 Daniels they're
So have they been showing up in masses to your repair show?
Had an 05 f150 with the 5.4. Never ever had a problem with the truck. Just bought a 2015 f150 and love it
Been 7 years now how has both trucks faired
I wanna see more of this! Subscribed! I enjoyed this more than a lot of things i watch on RUclips!
They should have the cast of Jackass push these trucks to the limit. I bet they find problems Ford never even thought thought possible.
Ford enthusiasts- Well actually I prefer a ford because so and so and etc.....
Chevy enthusiasts- URGHHH FORD IS SHIT, CHEVY FOR LIFE

Do this to a Silverado and watch the whole chassis collapse 😂
AlexMustang The Silverado is real steel unlike your fake and gay aluminum ecoboost motor havin' ass.
+Trevor Johnson Atleast our aluminum is stronger than your steel.
AlexMustang highly incorrect sir, after multiple tests your statement is obviously incorrect so you want me to hold your purse for ya?
+Trevor Johnson Mhm, sure..... What have you been watching? Chevy ads?
You can make a F150 even tougher IM ALL IN. Way to go FORD !!!!!

clintsisson sorry it's not, chevy+gmc (same exact trucks beside badges and more luxury for gmc) sell more than ford.
okigojuryu 1979 you do realize most of the people that buy gmc Sierra is not Chevrolet Silverado’s is because they’re buying them for the luxury aspect and the fact that if you drive a big truck around town they think that they look more like a man
It's General Motors...
take the sound from 1:22 and play it in one of those white padded rooms they put crazy people in, they would really like that lmao
Love these torture tests!
1:17 sounds exactly as the neighbor upstairs getting busy.
Hell Yeah ... Built Ford Tough.
Belle video.
This is what Ford means by "Built Ford Tough". Nobody can compare.
hey Black Jora Star long time no talk
osh watt Hey osh hows it goin.
Fine hbu
Im alright man.
awesome so whats up
Way better than a Chevy commercial and there aren't any actors.
No doubt that F150's are well made and well tested, I have a 2004 F150 with well over 200K on the original engine and trans and runs like a champ, however, it isn't the drive-train that falls apart, it's the electrical and body starts to rust, hopefully the aluminium body will hold up longer, only time will tell.
love ford. thank you for making awesome trucks!
Disclousure
"Every F150 was destroyed during it's testing, reason for a different F150 after every test"
south9563 no they just put the engine in a different Body!
It's so you know they don't sell it after these tests fucktard
surprised the "Military Grade Aluminum Alloy" stood up to their tests😂
The Military hummer had all aluminum bodies when I was in the service, and nobody said a word about it then.
Basically regular driving in Chicago...
was anyone else at 4:10 like "wow that's a nice tire they have for a spare"
that bed shakes almost as bad as the toyota.
You apparently don't remember that video well...........
I see you listened the commercials carefuly.
Tje worst is you believe it.
I know its 4 years later, but you're an idiot
I like how they have a cable around the spare tire for WHEN it falls off.
Big deal! I used to put trucks through way worse treatment on the job. This just reminds me of a bunch of college boys thinking they are doing it right when in reality the world outside their little universe is a lot rougher.
give it to a person who threats their ford like crap.. see how they take the test in real world
Well ford truck are made so tough, treating them like crap is normal.
i guess so but i broke my 2013 by crusin over a potthole on the high way i think it coulda been a leomon
They are all diesel as well.
those aftermarket cable ties are legit.
They probably sold it after
Imma Turkey As unused :)
And full price.
ofc.
And then it was sold as brand new ...
Those control arm bushings are done!
i wish we had this car in brazil
+Francisco González HAHAHAHA
FORD = Found On Rubbish Dumpster
These are just tests with failed results...
+Dan Will You are very ignorant why cant you just respect a truck i love them all for what they are they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
+Dan Will I bet your favorite truck has just as many flaws. Don't be so biased.
No you don't ...
Ford knows how to make great high quality trucks!
They are showing a gmc ad on a ford video,,, gtfo
thats not a GMC. its the new F150
Wyly Lincoln No youtube had an ad before the video and it was about the new GMC
***** yes haha muted instantly.
Time will tell if these are good trucks or not.
i dont know much about trucks, but when a suspension is under load shouldn't it squeak or make some sort of noise in order for it to work properly
You heard the machine squeaking. And GMC actually had a bumper fall off in one of their commercials, haha. This truck will outsell everything, again, for like nearly the 40th straight year.
GodnCountry65 Every truck has its ups and downs. but it all depends on how you take care of it. i had friends that kick the shit out of there dodge then complain how its bad. i still use a 2000 dodge ram 1500 sport and it still goes strong. it all comes down to how you take care of it
At least they have the balls to show them beating the shit out of their own trucks.
*****
Dude your comparing breaking parts in a diesel, which is extremely catastrophic, to breaking parts in a gasoline engine. Of course the repair is going to be expensive. Breaking a rocker arm is completely different than breaking a lifter. Also shame on you for driving the truck 50 miles with a broken rocker arm. Your lucky you didn't drop a valve in the cylinder head.
u note that fords the only company on here with a video on extensive testing
I am a ford guy but these test equate to about one year of work truck use. Nothing really special.
this is what built ford tough is all about
I didn't know a stress test was driving over bumpy road
+Wild_Gaming that not even that bad, try driving through australia outback. lol
Right
+Wild_Gaming
I was expecting military test grounds but hey, few vehicles are designed for off-road only and hopefully you aren't planning to drive at full speed on extremely irregular terrain
+CeeDee Player why?
+CeeDee Player why?
GMC AND CHEVY HAVE TERRIBLE SAFETY TESTS! FORD F150 TOP PICK FOR SAFETY!
Did you do any research on that?
2014 Silverado - usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Chevrolet_Silverado-1500/2014/Safety/
2014 f150 - usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Ford_F-150/2014/Safety/
SGreen -sam The 2015 F-150 is the top pick for safety. The 2014 isn't.
SGreen -sam Chevy killed people. Why do we just let that slip in our mind... Conversation ends there buddy.
Ford and Chrysler have had plenty of deaths on them also, its inevitable that something could fail when they produce millions of vehicles.
Because if they did they would fail...
+eltonq The F150 is designed to be empty - the SUPERDUTY trucks are designed and tested to be loaded.
+Leevi Hinkkala not true the 150 is designed to tow ~11K they certainly dont design them to be EMPTY. JHEEZ
+creekhed1 that's from what I heard from Ford service techs.... also why is the truck empty?
+Leonardo Mateos lol that's why GM is being sued because the new v8 Silverado can't tow 8100lbs like they advertised. and another thing the v6 f150 can tow 8800lbs now explain that you dumb ass no shut before you talk shit bitch
3:50 those poor leaf springs
I wanna 3.5l v6 or the 5.0 in a single cab :)
my 2011 f-150 has 78,000 mile nothing falling off yet still rides like new ..but its that time i need a tune up on my shocks since they have to be change every 60,000 miles and transmission fluid
I did all that at 153,000
My 2000 had 200k on it when I sold it and it was flawless. I beat the crap out of that truck too.
What about heatup in 50c ... 2015 ford trucks are still heating up in midleast
I like the gmc sierra better sorta
Jesus Christ my truck would literally be dropping parts as it goes, my shocks are blown and nasty feeling on a smooth road as it is 😂😂
Oh the 2015 Ford F-150 is so damn sexy and so are its bigger brothers but ive always had a soft spot for dodges and im starting to come around to chevy and GMC just here recently since obama saved that ass but my biggest problem with GM is EVERYBODY and their grandma has one and they all basically look the same....
All the fords and all the dodges look the same too idiot
Hahahaha
joe Costello Im guessing your a chevy driver? Bc ive literally seen truck loads of tbe Silverado with the same exact paint. Same exact "after market" lift kit sitting on the same exact "after market" wheels.... I Dont think dodge and fords loot at all alike but i know GM and Chevy are identical trucks
Ok you're fucking beyond stupid. I have nothing to prove to a worthless nobody like yourself.. Good day.
with 260k original miles on my 06 F150, I will be very difficult for me to buy anything other than a Ford. These tests prove they take durability and reliability seriously at Ford.
Isn't it enough of a torture test just owning a Ford?
The seats are any way. . Hey is there a church missing it's pews somewhere
+bababooey7576 funny that you hate on the video but you got them a view :3 DERP
i think the machine test is more brutal than outdoor test .
Are does zip ties at 0:20 ? Wtf!
oh yeah...FORD... BUILT THOUGH
+Kevin Stripe you gotta understand this is testing tho. This isn't the f150 they roll out of the factory
+Ethan Crowe sure it is..not lol
+Kevin Stripe they don't put a f150 in a wrap so the public can't see it and do all their testing because it's road ready.
Holding sensor wires in place
i like how the new chevy truck commercial show how strong they are, almost every new chevy weve had has has worse electrical problems than if i had just used electrical tape to put them together.
ill stick with my 2014 gmc sierra.............
i sure will thats fine and when your ford gets to 50000 miles and the shitty motor blowups i bet you wish it had a recall
And? Ford engines get over 300k easy as well. With regular maintenance, just about any engine will last for at least several 100,000 miles
Oh and since you never seen a ford with over 500k miles just do a Google search there's plenty out there much much higher then 500k
Those are some high tech zip ties going on :P
Damn...that truck can take a pretty sweet pounding!! I love ford!
Those new Fords look great. It is amazing how much juice they get out of those 2.7 V6. 164 cubes and 325 hp/ 375 lb feet of torque. I wonder if they will hold up?
I wanted this car Sold in Thailand
Trust me you don't want a Ford you want a Dodge
+Adam Brzymialkiewicz (SuicidalDonkey181) does anybody fucking care what truck you like? #biased
Yeah a dodge! American piece of shit car that costs 3x more to repair then this one ^^ Good tips m8, but no thanks ;)
+Adam Brzymialkiewicz (SuicidalDonkey181) totally the Dodge pussy cat
+vullut dodge sucks d***
1:18 '10mins into netflix and chill'
Twerking trucks lel
4:36 Dodge definitely skipped that part.
+Francisco González Dodge trucks are known for rusting out
cause the frame isnt coated like it should be
