Please Top 8 the next PT Reid. It would be so great for you, and it would really help with these videos, since you'd have enough money to buy a 4th Futuresight Tarmogoyf
Great deck, great player, great video. There's matches where you can do everything correct and still lose. Maybe now you wont forget the daily sacrifice to the Magic Gods.
Love watching boggles play, I'm always glad to the the pilot's outstanding playskillz. (Seriously, can we please ban out decks whose entire goal is to interact as absolutely little as possible?)
If you're siding in a naturalize effect, usually by the time you get 4 mana and are able to cast BBE to cascade into it you're going to have a target to cast it on (else you shouldn't be siding it in). However, I would be interested in a case for choosing it since it's an enchantment that helps fuel Goyf (though only if you're facing artifacts, else the thing you're disenchanting fuels that enchantment point for Goyf anyway).
Lets say someone is getting all in for modern. Would it be smart to go ahead and build the Jund deck? I mean once you have the pricey cards you are set. Its probably one of the fairest modern decks, it seems to always have a place in any metagame, it can compete and it only sees minor changes. I know it is one of the more expensive decks, but I think its the most fun to play.
At 1:18:30, second game against Grixis Control, I was wondering is there an argument to first use the Thoughtseize instead of the Inquisition? Of course, usually Inquisition is used first, but now opponent shocked on turn 1 and passed . That indicates Thought Scour almost certainly, making Tasigur a possible turn 2 play if Inquisition is used. Reid's hand can be punished very hard with a fast clock, so maybe that was worth considering?
I've always loved Jund. Too bad this deck costs a ton of money. Maybe one day. Love watching Reid. Always extremely informative; I almost always learn something while watching.
You should use back to nature instead of deglamour for sb. You already have 2 grudges for artifacts and back to nature is good against blood moon and leylines as well as being a silver bullet for the bogles matchup.
Do you think golgari charm is something you should try to squeeze into the main with Bogles running around or do you think it’s just not good enough in other matchups as well
Yo Reid, any thoughts on the new Go for the Throat that kills every non-Legend thats comming out in Dominaria for Jund? Any other cards in the new upcomming sets you are looking at?
You had a play gm1 against boggles where you block with goyf and elf, untap pulse the leyline and minus lil, you’re at 5 but I believe you could’ve lived 1 more turn
Why would you not K-Command the Ravager while your opponent was tapped out if you were worried about poison? You opened the door to counters being moved to Inkmoth by letting you opponent untap. You could have cleared your opponent's board and hand that turn. Am I missing something in M1 G1 T3?
I believe he had basic mountain in the last iteration of Jund when Bloodbraid was unbanned, curious as to why he removed it. I started playing the list and it's nice to have a turn one basic mountain to fetch in game 1 against burn. Even though the matchup is quite unfavoravle,l. In game 2 something like mountain Bolt, into swamp collective brutality is pretty good.
Reid, against bogles you could block with goyf and bbe to kill the first bogle (ethereal armour+rancor). Next turn use terminate to kill dryad arbor and -2 liliana to kill the other bogle. I think this scenario would give you the game. What do you think? Tks.
In everyone of Reid’s videos there is always someone banging around. Sounds like someone doing the dishes. Doesn’t bother me (because it’s Reid and he basically can do no wrong) but I just always wonder what it is
Jeffrey Penkoff I think that if you stabilize the game with some early removal or artifact hate, huntmaster will win you the game as it makes pressure with tokens and allow you to win some life. It's also a 4/4 trample Maybe it's a better option than other main board cards. In the other hand, kitchen finks even if it's cmc 3, will gain you 2 life but it can't block almost anything
*sees decklist* Oh no, Reid, you don't have the basic mountain! Do you think losing to the field of ruin is just enough of a fringe case to risk not running the basic mountain and making your mana base a little worse?
game 3 round 1 he has more than enough removal to cover the affinity player's board, dreading an Etched Champion; he could have removed every artifact from his board by the time the time the Champion did come down with only 1 man land and 2 darksteel lands to grant it protection, allowing him to burn it out even with the land animation. didn't get punished though :(
chazy13 _ wouldn't recommend in the future. UW control is a bad deck which people will play because they enjoy it rather than it being good. You can certainly win without mountain, too. It's more of a crutch in the matchup. When you play the mountain, it is the absolute worst card in the deck, not close. Worth noting basic forest and swamp are in the deck because of a) blood moon and b) you're only playing red for like two cards, and incidental raging ravine. If you feel like you are playing against a lot of color hate from the control decks it's important to just hold up a fetch throughout the game for your bloodbraid. They don't pressure you, so the damage is kinda irrelevant, and your bloodbraid smashes them. Bolt sucks outside of exactly Jace against them, too. If you wanna turn on a ravine, they'll kill that before your other red source. Also again, UW just isn't very strong compared to almost every other deck in the current meta, and is more of a call out than anything for specifically humans.
That does make sense, but as of right now I only play two fetchable red sources in a blood crypt and stomping ground. When I play against control decks with spreading seas/field of ruin, and taxes decks, they always go after my red sources which can set me back from casting bloodbraid, k command, Chandra, bolt. My list is someone less optimal, as I only run two bloodbraid with a Chandra and hazoret instead (meta is heavy jund at my lgs, so it makes sense to include them mainboard). Any ways, I think a mountain is better in my deck because I have more need for red mana, but it also wouldn't hurt for other jund decks too imo.
I think it is kind of funny that even a real Jund master like Reid does not have a precise sideboard plan for certain matchups and always thinks and considers his alternatives. I feek like after a certain amount of matches you should have figured out the "perfect" sideboard plan for being on the play or draw.
Reid's commentary is somehow so soothing to listen to.
ASMReid
He does a very good job taking through the process

Affinity matchup: “now this is a situation where you really need all your mental power” *misclicks*
Educational, entertaining and, exciting - love watching high level jund play!
I like that Reid keeps a complete soul sister's deck in his collection at all times.
Please Top 8 the next PT Reid. It would be so great for you, and it would really help with these videos, since you'd have enough money to buy a 4th Futuresight Tarmogoyf
That double activate ravine trick is awesome!
It’s not even close... These Reid Duke Midrange videos are King within MTG content. Thanks Reid!
Reid's a class act. Observing his play and how he thinks in invaluable to help turn a good player onto a great one.
I think Reid is probably one of my favourite mtg players, him and all the other good guy players.
I’m a simple man. I see Duke’s name on a Midrange deck video, I click the link. 🤘🏼
also a gay man
You have 3 first names.
I love whomever is doing dishes in the background.
Great deck, great player, great video. There's matches where you can do everything correct and still lose.
Maybe now you wont forget the daily sacrifice to the Magic Gods.
In the words of Bogles player Dmitriy Butakov, "I hate Bogles".
It's Reid the Bones!
Reid I thank you do the best job of explaining the whys of playing a deck
First time I've heard of double activating Raging Ravine. Pretty cool.
Does Reid have a set of kitchenware he's drumming on while he waits during his opponents turn lol
I'm sure that's someone else in the background.
I have watched Redi for years on CFB and there is ALWAYS kitchen noices in the background, never fails :D
The Reidman! CFB fills the nether void when they gimme the reidman, mengucci, or lsv. What would i do without this channel.
Cast fireball for much less, surely.
Nabil Zaman I walked right into that one, nice shot.
We would like to see Duke playing a modern Tron deck!!! Please!!! :)
The Duke gets me so jazzed about magic
There's always someone making what sounds like ramen noodles in the background of Reid's videos. Never change you wild wild animal. Never change.
One of the best pros of all time. Pro sponsorship making content for one of the big names in MTG. Still has a mismatched goyf >.
"Hexproof" needs to be added to the B&R
Ayeeeee there he is
Love watching boggles play, I'm always glad to the the pilot's outstanding playskillz. (Seriously, can we please ban out decks whose entire goal is to interact as absolutely little as possible?)
gentle reminder that reid is the jund ambassador
I hate GBx decks, but I really love Reid's commentary and his knowledge, these are the best videos!
Enjoy your videos, hope to see you in June at Vegas for Grand Prix
digging the background cooking noises
what about Seal of Primordium as another naturalize effect? its castable on a bloodbraid trigger with no targets even
If you're siding in a naturalize effect, usually by the time you get 4 mana and are able to cast BBE to cascade into it you're going to have a target to cast it on (else you shouldn't be siding it in). However, I would be interested in a case for choosing it since it's an enchantment that helps fuel Goyf (though only if you're facing artifacts, else the thing you're disenchanting fuels that enchantment point for Goyf anyway).
double ancient grudge vs affinity - "fair enough"
Good to know that you listened to us and didn't do that goofy editing job again
I'd love to see Reid to play a hollow one league. Maybe get some amalgams in there. Probably not because you want everything cast able.
Could you record a gameplay with your 5-0 temur?
He said on Twitter (iirc) that he recorded that league, it'll go up on CFB soon.

Man...... i wish i was friends with Reid. Guy seems so nice.
More, I need more!
At 1:18:30, second game against Grixis Control, I was wondering is there an argument to first use the Thoughtseize instead of the Inquisition? I've always loved Jund. Too bad this deck costs a ton of money. Maybe one day. Love watching Reid. Always extremely informative; I almost always learn something while watching.
The first opponent kept saccing ravagers to themselves instead of to other ravagers, missing 1 extra counter.
Metallic Reiduke!
Anyone else here despise Bogles?
You should use back to nature instead of deglamour for sb. You already have 2 grudges for artifacts and back to nature is good against blood moon and leylines as well as being a silver bullet for the bogles matchup.
thanks for this.

Please more reid and jund!
idk what affinity pilot was playing around; I feel like letting ravager die and adding counters to Inkmoth would have been right there
Hey Reid. Really love your content! Any chance you’d play that Mardu Pyromancer deck running around? Anyways, thanks for the amazing content!
Is Tasigur + 2 Thought Scour a reason to open with Thoughtseize against that deck?
i was thinking the same thing
"Oh! my, God.. Another misclick..." is funny heh..
Why would you not K-Command the Ravager while your opponent was tapped out if you were worried about poison? You opened the door to counters being moved to Inkmoth by letting you opponent untap. You could have cleared your opponent's board and hand that turn. Am I missing something in M1 G1 T3?
I LOVE the BBE Jund... AAAAAAAAAAA make more videos faster! :D
yes
The only thing Reid can't do, is have a bad hair day #Reidisthegoat
I suppose when every day is a bad hair day you don't get only one
Myztik ooooooohhhh snap
I like back to nature over deglamour myself
Any thoughts on Bontu's last reckoning for Jund?
Does Reid record in the back-of-house in a restaurant? I always hear dishes clanking.
1:07:46 I swear Reid always gets the top deck lol.
What benefit does deglamer have over naturalize?
still no basic mountain?
I believe he had basic mountain in the last iteration of Jund when Bloodbraid was unbanned, curious as to why he removed it. I started playing the list and it's nice to have a turn one basic mountain to fetch in game 1 against burn. Even though the matchup is quite unfavoravle,l. The Scooze g1 v bogles didn't seem correct, I think you should have pulsed the Rancor.
Reid, against bogles you could block with goyf and bbe to kill the first bogle (ethereal armour+rancor). Next turn use terminate to kill dryad arbor and -2 liliana to kill the other bogle. I think this scenario would give you the game. What do you think? Tks.
I think he couldn't target the player with liliana because of leyline of sanctity
Vitor Hugo Jaccoud first strike and leyline kill that line entirely
Yeah! You are right guys!! tks
Why play Decglamer when over something like Back to Nature?
Joe Chapa deglamer is for Wurmcoil Engine out of tron.
Do you think the GDS player is like "wtf how did Reid know to not attack with the BBE to stop my DS from getting bigger?"
Where is my Temur video Reid Duke? You promised us homie 😭
this.is.magic
In everyone of Reid’s videos there is always someone banging around. Sounds like someone doing the dishes. Doesn’t bother me (because it’s Reid and he basically can do no wrong) but I just always wonder what it is
Etched champion isn't scary if you can remove all the artifacts then kill it like you could around 33:00
Why not play Back to Nature for Bogles?
reid great video but who is cookin up dinner in the background
that is a classic
that's lunch
Why is that naturalize card better than seal of primordial?
Is it whasn't better to kill the ravager during your turn when they whas full tap and unable to activate inkmoth ?
That person in the background is so loud he/she HAS to be f*cking with Reid lmao.
Deck is sweet. Is noxious revival any good in the deck?
no
Reid Duke looks like his mother just cannot get enough of telling him what a handsome young man he is with a great haircut.
i can watch this for 24 hours np
No finks vs affinity but huntmaster is fine? Huntmaster seems clunky to me, but I'm not Reid, so what do I know?
Jeffrey Penkoff I think that if you stabilize the game with some early removal or artifact hate, huntmaster will win you the game as it makes pressure with tokens and allow you to win some life. It's also a 4/4 trample
Maybe it's a better option than other main board cards.
In the other hand, kitchen finks even if it's cmc 3, will gain you 2 life but it can't block almost anything
Bloodbraid elf, bolt, kcommand.. I can understand why jund is good.
*still sticking with abzan*
*sees decklist* Oh no, Reid, you don't have the basic mountain! Do you think losing to the field of ruin is just enough of a fringe case to risk not running the basic mountain and making your mana base a little worse?
NO FATAL PUSH?!

didn't get punished though :(
Maybe sideboarding some amount of bloodbraids out vs affnity is the right call. Like 2-3.
I understand drawing to your outs but jesus christ the mtg rng gods love reid. He just draws the right card within 1-2 turns. Even on misplays he wins
Why no basic mountain in the list? Didn’t Reid get punished for this against Field I’d Ruin decks?
why not just play back to nature for the side board against bogles
Let's uban BBE and Jace they said, they will not be meta defining they said Kappa
Boggles is an evil deck
Jund’em
Isn't back to nature better than deglamer? Is it because of Rancor only?
Clank more dishes next time
When I play my Jund list I'm forced to play a basic mountain from the amount of color hate from control decks

why does this deck cost more than my rent

I find Unravel the Æther way more... epic than Deglamer.
