I'm sure everyone can see there is a Conversational side of Mark and a get business done side of Mark. That guy knows diffs and trans like nobody else. Your a beast Mark!!
It is really unreal how much information and knowledge we get from everything Mark shows us. If I ever need parts, Mark would definitely be the first call. Assume video!
I'm getting into hauling RVs out of indiana. If I make any money I'm swinging by to get Allison rebuilt and a transfer case.. Otherwise I'm in nova Scotia canada and I'll never get there lol
And this is exactly why I watch your videos josh!!!! Mark at Kodiak truck is an absolute awesome at what he does an exactly why he is number1 at everything he does nicely done guys.
Wow! Another great video with Mark. I really love these videos with kodiak in it. Mark is such an experienced technician it makes it a pleasure to watch. I try to learn something every time he is on I usually end up watching these videos at least two or three times. Thanks again!
Just a lot of fun watching him go through transmissions and transfer cases. I could get a bag of the popcorn and literally be entertained and taking notes as I watch him effortlessly rebuild these. Mark's knowledge is truth that he has done this atleast twice and has his 90 days of probation time completed in the shop. Give him a fancy sew on patch for his work shirt ... lol.. seriously though, truly enjoy watching him and listening to him. As explains things very professionally and rebuilds everything professionally all while teaching it as he works. Great video and hats off to Mark for his professionalism. What's next ?
I know someone that has bought from Kodiak Truck, one is their reman transfer cases.I am pretty good at draining cores too.The Dodge transfer cases use ATF+4 automatic transmission fluid from the factory
Wow. This guy just blazes thru this case. Like he is just ting his shoes in the morning. Makes me think I can do this. But then I realize I need my truck to work still
I'm riding on marks tcase for a 05 duramax and loving it I would suggest his work to anybody thanks to truckmaster I found him appropriate you both for all your help
Thank you Truckmaster AND ‘The Professor’ Mark! Great content. I use to have to pay money back in the day to learn the stuff in school you know....lol!
Dude, I need mark to rebuild my trans and diffs and cases. I can’t deal with the dealership installing the same crap that fails every single time. I’m speaking for my half ton trucks.
As a diesel truck owner and a truck enthusiast myself, Mark from Kodiak Truck just blew my mind about the differences between the light duty & the heavy duty transfer cases for the 2nd gen Dodge Cummins.
Mr truck Master love watching this dodge cummins coming together but slowly keep making awesome videos on your channel love watching your channel keep up the amazing work say safe and healthy with your family i hope this will get better soon I hope for 2021 u probably can find a cab and box at the junkyard 😀 in good shape
Do you know like ballpark how much Mark charges for rebuild on t cases and transmissions. My 95 f250 7.3 has like 240,000 and I wonna throw power at it but I’m afraid everything is super worn out. Thanks.
Hey Josh does he put 5w 30 in all cases? Wanting to change the fluid in my 2011 sierra 1500 and was just wondering if it would be okay to put it in there.
Yes it does suck the when t-case cores come in and they are still full of oil. I build t-cases 5 days a week. Get to see all kinds carnage and we have some cores come in that were pumped full of grease, what a freaking mesh. Great job on the rebuild.
Nice vid. But you should invest in a trans jack, your back will love you for it. Thanks for setting this up, love how Mark takes the time to explain everything.
Okay I have a question if I can have answered the 271d transfer case I have in my Cummins is there an upgrade or something I can do to make the tcase stronger or better ? And what should it hold regarding Hp torque ? Just want something that will not be giving me headaches
Have a question about the 241 DHD have one in my 02 ram 250 Cummins Mine pops out of low range So I have a 150,000 miles and plan to re build my transfer case But need to find out if lower gears are available. Or is there a doubler available for it Or should I just plan on replacing it with a Atlas type box Any information would help
Wish I had taken my 2013 manual Cummins to this shop instead of the dealer. 7 trips to the dealer and all I got was a blown transfer case. It leaked from the first day of owner ship. 7 seals later it finally just quit.
My #1 is Duramax and 2nd is Cummins. I don't think I could like Found On Road Dead. Great channel and content. Keep up the good work. I'm thinking about picking up a Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel.
What's a better transfer case then the NP241 DHD. I have a 02 6 speed 4x4 with a NP241 DLD and want something that's more readily available, because over here on the west side of the U.S. people want $700-$1200 for a NP241 DHD that needs rebuilt so just wanted to ask and way out the options. Thanks for the awesome videos and actually showing how things are put together with the info to back it up on what is being worked on.
I am hardcore fans of duramax but I do like 2nd gen Dodge Ram cummins only. Your show are great and can't wait see more it! Still looking for bed want same color before it or any colors no rust? What your brother in law react this truck restoring?
Can you guys make a video on changing transmission filter on the new 2020 Allison 10L1000 in the Silverado 2500 HD Duramax. It has a new procedure. Can’t find any videos on it. Thought maybe Kodiak Truck may have the expertise. Thanks
@kodiakdiesel im sure probably not your typical question but would you ever do video between the 231D vs 231D HD from 94-00 dakota/durango ive been trying to show people differences for building dakota and durangos the 231D HD has 31 spline out and the 231D found in most 94-00 rams and some base dakotas has 27 spline out, ive looked in both and same 3 planetary gears but the outputs seem different, the 231D HD seems strongest for dakota/durango for say live solid front axle swaps etc
I've seen a DLD in a 1500 mega cab (2006) literally blow up going down the interstate. Looked under it and the chain was hanging on the ground. I saw one on a video from precision transmission do the same thing.
I own a 2500 hd and now I'm curious to see what's under mine and I never did any maintenance to any of my other transfer cases but I guess I'm going to start now
How about “the Phoenix“ for the truck’s name? The Phoenix was a mythical bird that rose from its ashes to take flight again. The Flight of the Phoenix was a movie about a military plane that crashed in the desert. The survivors, who were different members from the Allied Armed Forces, built a smaller plane (The Phoenix) out of the debris and flew it to safety. The twist, the designer of the Phoenix, was an airplane designer but he didn’t tell his mates that he was a toy airplane designer. Essentially, that’s what you’ll be doing with this truck, bringing it back from the ashes.
Just for information... If you use the truck master discount code at Kodiak truck you will get a discount on a rebuilt transfer case (awesome product) but your transfer case core will also be reduced.
I would absolutely love to send in my trans and front diff as my trans is starting to go slips in and out of gear at lights and stop signs n i have to wait for it to catch again and my front diff wont go into 4low it just makes a huge clunk noise sounds terrible i would so love to be able to send it in but having a daughtet and another on the way ill prob have to sell it and look for something els but its my dream truck so i really dont want to haha ...its a 04 sierra slt 2500 6l with a 4l80e im the second owner ....it fits my family just perfect so i need to get it done ...i really wonder what the price would be for my 4l80 trans and front diff to get built properly.......
Most of us are Duramax GMC, Chevy Fan’s! But let me know what you think about my Cummins content???

dude, ryan's diesel service is so bad ass for all the dope content they've helped produce. i've leanred quite a lot.
It was enjoyable to watch him disassemble but I hope he’s the one putting it
Together they he lets parts fly

Mark (Kodiak Truck) and Precision Transmission are the most backed experts 1000%
You can tell a true professional by the way they work
Wow. This guy just blazes thru this case. Like he is just ting his shoes in the morning. Makes me think I can do this. But then I realize I need my truck to work still

I have an LMM Duramax. But I like Cummins too. I'm really looking forward to this project. 👍
Thanks
Thank you Truckmaster AND ‘The Professor’ Mark! Great content. I use to have to pay money back in the day to learn the stuff in school you know....lol!

Super informative. Thanks for sharing.
I enjoyed this - always a pleasure to watch Mark work his magic. Looks like you are getting this build moving.
Love the content with experts like Mark and Ryan. Already have an RDS turbo on my LML and if I ever need a transfer case, I know who to call!
👍

What oil would Mark recommend for a 05 duramax T case that’s recently had a pump rub kit installed? 5w-30 or dex 6? Just curious thanks!

Yes 👍
@@TruckMaster awesome thats what I'll put in mine then when I change it here soon.
if your truck has a auto trac transfer case you need to stay with the autotrac fluid.

I actually have one 😂

I’ve only been watching your channel for less than a month and so far I’m loving your content great work. 👍
Wish I had taken my 2013 manual Cummins to this shop instead of the dealer. 7 trips to the dealer and all I got was a blown transfer case. It leaked from the first day of owner ship. 7 seals later it finally just quit.
That is a guy that knows his stuff. I hear a lot of people using them.
I know The weak point is the transmission on these but if u had stock transfer case in a 2nd gen and run stage 5 on tuner would u be fine?
Should
My #1 is Duramax and 2nd is Cummins. I don't think I could like Found On Road Dead. Great channel and content. Keep up the good work. I'm thinking about picking up a Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel.
I have a 241 DHD
Is there a lower low gear available for it or a doubler case that can be adapted for it or to it
What's a better transfer case then the NP241 DHD.

So the out put shaft is bigger? So does it need a bigger slip yoke?

Truck Master, you need to call the Cummins 'Major Payne'.
Mark makes it look so easy.
I've seen a DLD in a 1500 mega cab (2006) literally blow up going down the interstate. Looked under it and the chain was hanging on the ground. I saw one on a video from precision transmission do the same thing.
Name the Truck Major Pain! lol
Great video and awesome work 👍🏻💪🏻
Wow ! What a great video. I should of knew u would be watching. 👍🏻
@@LoneWolf-cf5tp haha yeah buddy 😉👍🏻
Learning so much for this man.. Sir do you take Financial aid as payment.. lol

The name reminds me of phongs red crx from pfi speed channel
I’d def rock a p pump Cummins. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
This is great stuff! I'm a cummins guy so obviously... LOL
I love how hes like "yeah you'd normally see the HD behind manuals".... "Yeah no ive seen many LD's behind manuals, i own the shop bro"
Wish you would have Shown the shift on the fly conversion
Based off this video, should I change the fluid in my transfer case? (Lb7)
Does Mark at Kodiak Truck ship Tcases and transmissions?
Yes
Yes 👍
You should call the truck Forest Gump. “A transfer case is like a box of chocolates, you never know what’s inside”.
Wow that dude is so smart lol
Name it ‘ Vader’ you have gone to the ‘ dark side’ !
You should pull the 6.6 from the chevy and put it in the dodge
Keep it up I went from duramax to Cummins
Can I run 5w-30 full synthetic motor oil in my chevy 1500 transfer case?
if its floor shift yes. if its a autotrac you need to stay with the autotrac 2 fluid.
I love them all, keep the videos coming 👍😁
So what about running 5w30 in a chevy transfer case
It’s ok 👌
Just for information... If you use the truck master discount code at Kodiak truck you will get a discount on a rebuilt transfer case (awesome product) but your transfer case core will also be reduced.

Watch ing makes me wanna quit my job as carpeter and start wrenching I had a nice truck 03 lb7 slt 3500 gmc best truck I ever drove in
Truck should be called Carl. We all know you will be screwing off when you should be working... Damn it Carl lol
Looks like he's done that a time or two...
I love the content on the channel... but would be cool to see builds with a little less red... but that’s just my opinion
Thanks 👍 the truck won’t be red FYI
Name it “The Stepchild”
Does kodiak truck ship parts? I’m In New England
I don't think I would name my truck after any kind of pile.
Amazing episode
Thanks
Have to do a crew cab extension with this 2nd gen
Lutenant Dan.... because it don’t run
Great video 💪🏻🤘🏻
Victory Cummins
Truck name, major Payne
ATTENTION Josh!!!! Talk to Beard about when we put a duramax drive shaft in my old Cummins. You can get away from that two piece!!!
Mark the man
Love u videos man very helpful
I used to work where that was built.
Get this junk dodge done and another dmax on here
👍
Lmao. This guy...
General Pyle!
Awesome!
Once the build is done put the hummin Cummins against the wifemax
Josh I think that Melanie's brother had some guardian angels looking out for him based on what Mark is saying
Good stuff
Wife max vs Cummins and old red drag race for a RUclips video
Nice idea
@truckmaster_07 yes it would be a good idea truck master
I’m an adult so it doesn’t matter to me what brand . I am a GM guy tho. Still great content
Private Power
Just call it "Gunny"
Awesome
forgot to torque bolts
Couldn’t you use a transfer case from a dodge in a ford or Chevy truck
Nice
