    It makes sense that the tiaras are kept under lock and key when not in use. It also makes sense that the tiaras get shared around a bit. I think if I ever got to wear one of the tiaras I would spend the whole time trying to catch sight of myself in mirrors or any polished surface, especially if there was a light overhead so I sparkled😂 68 going on 3 here😂

      @@jackiegould1569 Yeah, in the southern United States (and, well, almost anywhere in the US) it is easily in the 80s and 90s during the peak of the summer. In the desert SW and some parts of the "deep south", temperatures can EASILY go into the 100s-110s (Farenheit) on a DAILY basis during the summertime. In the SW USA its a dry desert heat; in the Gulf of Mexico area its a tropical heat.

    Tiaras always stay in the physical possession of the Crown. Technically the Monarch controls the jewels as they belong to the Monarch... but since this monarch is male it makes sense he would delegate responsibility to his wife on his behalf. If you let the tiara physically stay with someone other than the Monarch... .it might not come back (not that Catherine would, but remember the royal family has learned lessons over a thousand years of all sorts of family members)!! The ruby tiara was also symbolic of the Japanese honored guests... their flag is a red circle on a white background (symbolizes the sun)

    • @RoyalReviewer
      @RoyalReviewer  13 дней назад

      Not sure that’s quite accurate, I remember Diana had physical possession of the lovers knot tiara as it was ‘given’ as a wedding present on long term loan from The Queen. Upon Diana’s death (when she was divorced) the tiara was returned to Queen Elizabeth. Also the BP book ‘Diamonds’ lists certain pieces as being on long term loan to certain royals.

    What are the rules for receiving gifts for the royals? I find it all confusing. It feels like half the jewelry is from gifts from all over for Queen Elizabeth’s and Prince Phillip’s wedding. But then I thought I read they can’t accept gifts?🤷🏻‍♀️

I prefer the original tiara before it was redesigned. I wish that tiara would get a redo. No one looks good in that tiara. I wish it would get a redo. It would look better has a necklace. The Queen mum had another ruby tiara the Oriental Circlet Tiara which I think is a better looking tiara

    I LOVED seeing the Lotus Flower Tiara on Sophie! I mean no disrespect to her late majesty, but I feel like Queen Elizabeth ll could be a little reserved when it came to the jewlery collection she had at her disposal. I am hoping that this means that Queen Camilla (i believe with the encouragement of the King) is going to start handling the jewels within the BRF collection more like the Swedish Royal Family. Keeping the biggest show stoppers for the use of the Queen, but allowing the other royal ladies more access to mix and match within the extensive collection. Let's not forget that there are SO MANY pieces within the collection that haven't been seen in decades. Between this, and the reemergence of the Stathmore Rose Tiara at the South Korean State Banquet, I am super excited for what we might see next!

    I must say, you're on point in this one Elliot... as fellow jewellery lover, I was surprised to see the Lotus Flower tiara on Sophie, like another comment below, my first thought was it was a nod to Catherine as she was not in attendance, but Sophie looked beautiful. I think it's the first time I've seen her in such serious jewels.
    I love most the tiaras except the Burmese Ruby... even though I hate to say, Camilla has good tiara hair and wore it well, making it look better than on QE ll - I just don't know what Queen E was thinking when she dismantled the Nizam of Hyderabad tiara, it was beautiful!... as is the Strathmore Rose Tiara.
    I thought Camilla would wear Queen Victoria's Indian Circlet Tiara... also with rubies, one of my top favorites and one Queen Victoria left it as an heirloom of the Crown, for the use of future Queens and Queen Consorts. This will look great on Catherine one day.
    The Duchess of Gloucester always looks glamourous and has lots of beautiful jewels. I've always loved the Japanese Chrysanthemum Tiara, a beautiful design. I have seen the Halo Tiara in person, at a Cartier exhibition here in Canberra a few years ago and was surprised how small it was.
    Thanks for all the details.... really enjoyed it, I love jewellery design.
    FYI on my screen, the ribbon on Prince Charles' new order is a pale seafoam green. ❤🦘

    I love Camilla in a tiara. Her big har lets her pile on the goodies and always stuns me with a big show. All the royal ladies look fabulous in their jewels. It's always so much fun to see the jewels brought out and worn (as you say) in today's world. Great insights and interesting comments from you as usual!

    Who is the woman who was escorted by William and also sat next to him? I do wish they would all chnge the tiaras they wear more often than they do.

    Camilla really does have good “tiara hair” because any one she’s worn looks great. So did QE II but the ruby tiara looked even better on Camilla.

      I love the Ruby tiara and am disappointed there are so many detractors.
