It's always fun to see Cartier's Tutti Fruitti jewels with their joyous colours and creative settings inspired by the mogul jewels of India. Countess Mountbatten's pieces bear a rich history that is interesting to hear. Thank you!
I don’t know when this was filmed, but most of the pieces would be a lot more today. The rubies and emeralds are larger and better quality than anything available today. A single ruby or emerald would be over $20,000 today.
There is one to many greats when referencing the relationship with Queen Victoria, Queen Victoria was her Great, great Grandmother, not great, great, great as stated on the film .poorly researched and no fact checking
Why was so many pieces of sentimental and historical jewelry that belonged to the mountbatten clan turned over and sold at auction why didn't any other members of the family want to keep it within their possession?
Interesting collection (not the prettiest). The Mourning pieces are kind of a morbid bit of history ( what a thing to inherit!). She was a very lucky girl.
I just can't believe this video. 1. Patricia is not an old name. It's a new first name for women. 2. Patricia, however, is always taken pictures in b /w, which gives the viewers a darker image of, Patricia. Patricia is, WHITE ! Not black ! 3. And then, they took a picture of a Hindi, and turned her whiter than Patricia. I just cannot believe the rude graphics of this LGBT video !! Sorry Graphics Department. Not gonna go, no.
The only piece I like is the cross. For some reason, I hate multicolored stones. These particular pieces look fit for a juvenile!!! Since it is rumored that Edwina had a very torrid love aff😂air with Nehru!, I would think there was much more sophisticated jewelry than this junk. It really looks like paste!.I don't think the tiara is attractive either. Just not too feminine . Obviously not impressed!! also , I have read that Edwina had a huge sex drive . No doubt ,she wasn't very generous with patricia!!!😮

I love carved stones, those dress clips are stunning.
Excellent edition. Thank you.
These were all beautiful pieces.
I like the onyx and pearl button with a portrait of Alice the most
I've fallen in love with the ivy necklace. It's stunning, my style completely
Thank you, this was so interesting. Just wonderful Gems 💎..

❤❤❤❤❤❤ beautiful collection 🎉🎉🎉🎉💕 enamel jewelry
My favourite is the multi-ciloured gem bracelet with diamond links.
Liked the tiara and the diamond nexklace
Prices for these pieces clearly do not reflect current prices. An update of present day values would be welcomed
Indeed!
She was the daughter of two morally inept individuals but, apparently, has found her way out of their influence.
I heard about the life of her parents
As always, it’s wonderful to see Tutti Fruiti jewelry.
Her jewelry is definitely unique. She has several pieces the royal family does not. I rather like the unique pieces.
I love the use of the word “adorable” by the AI voice
Where there is great wealth, there is a great crime.!.

They most likely had to sell them to pay taxes
Interesting 🎉🎉@@kathybest6950

Did they pay 4500 in the 20s or was valued at 4500?
She was the great great granddaughter of Queen Victoria. Not great great great 🙄
The ‘s’ is silent in ‘Louis’!! I can only assume the voiceover is AI generated.
Star tiara grand beautiful family heirloom USA
50% of the pieces didn’t like and have seen far better designs.
It's 'penchant'.
Can you imagine losing the Queens loan tiara.
lone not loan
All
Is this youtube's incompetence? A debate of national importance and comments on British jewels?
Queen Victoria was Baroness Barbourne's great-great-grandmother (not great-great-great-grandmother).
“Loo wee” not “Loo wis” is how “Louis” is pronounced.

‘mourning’ NOT ‘morning’!
Penchant. Not palmshore!
Most of the pieces were priced too low to be accurate.
