I agree with you. He does a beautiful job of feeling the lyrics. Check out Leon Russell's version. He wrote it. The Carpenters also did an amazing version.
@@kevinking8513 The Temptations did the version that truly won my heart ❤️!!! The sound of it on the old console record players was bone chilling!!! 🤩🤩🤩
My favourite track "Holy Ghost" - great for dancing (classic booty shaking) with an awesome break. I think "Shake your rump to the funk" is another banger.
i wish they still made great songs this now i know things change but this time when these artists were making greart music like was so amazing here i like this one from the bar-kays .
Bar-Kays what can you say about them? They started out being the backup group for singer. Otis Redding and except for maybe one or two members. One who didn't get on the plane. The other one who was on the plane he was the lone survivor they all perished along with Otis Redding. The Bar-Kays with the two surviving members was able to transform themselves into an amazing funk band. I'm glad you did them.
Someone may have already mentioned that The BarKays originally were the backing band for Otis Redding and all but two members (they weren’t on the flight) were killed in the plane crash with Otis in 1967. This version of the band has completely different personnel, of course.
Story about The Bar-Kay's. The members of The Bar-Kay's were in the same plane crash that, I mentioned Billy Stewart was in, along with Otis Redding. I was just a little girl & don't remember who else was in that plane, I think some of the MG's, who would've been a back up band. Booker-T, who was the leader of the MG's, wasn't on it, along with the leader & some members of the Bar-Kay's because of them catching a later fight or it was too full or something like that. Anyways!!!
You are telling the truth Dracula! We might as well accept what you are saying! All some of these artists want to do is sample what others have already done! No talent! Music 🎶 programs in school have been cut drastically! Great comment! ❤😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
