I’m rocking a 42” 4K 120hz C3 LG OLED TV. I absolutely love native 4K at 120 Hz and I’m willing to trade off all those extra FPS to have native 4K ultra settings at 120. 120 FPS is plenty for now. Truthfully, most people don’t even play above 60.
@GraphicallyChallenged, you're spreading such plentiful amounts of untruths per sentence that you leave Brandon wondering. While being able to push over 60 to 120 Hz on a 1080p monitor you barely need a cheap system, to achieve the same effect on a 4k monitor you need an expensive high end system. No one has to push to 240 Hz just because! For excellent gaming, the difference is barely noticeable above 120Hz for the human eye so your argument is false and misleading. You're attempting to sway people away from this product which if you check on Amazon is the most popular and sell product with excellent reviews. There's a special place in the Brandon administration for people like you.
I felt the same thing when I bought my 120hz smartphone. every other screen with less than 120hz seems to be blocky and laggy, but after some weeks, my brain learned to expect 120hz when I look at the phone, and not expect 120hz with other screens, and then I stopped feeling the lag when looking to my 75hz monitor even though my phone was 120hz
i feel the same way lmao . if people really want to see the difference, i say compare their monitors to OLED vs IPS panels. thats the one with the most difference.
@@Harry_crypto_investor3634 I know it's on 120Hz because the developer settings says I'm displaying at 120Hz and also because I used a real time frame rate checker
this man is talking nonsense sooooo often. if you buy a fast car, do you care about not being able to go back to a slow one? no, you dont. yes the improvement in latency isnt as high as 60 to 144 but its alr and there are many good 240 hz monitors
If you're playing games competively and have spare money, then go for 240hz but factor in other variables such as the panel type, resolution etc. 1440p 240hz (280Hz OC) IPS is the sweetspot for me. No worries getting high FPS as 1440p isn't very demanding, with fairly optimised settings.
I had a xl2540 1080p 240hz, now I have a gp850 1440p 180hz its definetely not as smooth but unless youre playing in fpl or above it doesnt matter that much you'll still be competitive at 144hz
@GunniMikki Yeah, I agree with you there. I have an AW2723DF, and it is completely dependent on what skill level you're playing at, I play FPS games at a high level, and it's done wonders for me personally. Haven't used >240Hz in a few years now.
meh for me idc, I play cs and higher res is useless for me when im allready using lower res. plus got money to burn. if you care, im getting zowies XL2546K.
I have been using a 1440p 144hz monitor which i recently overclocked to 160hz, it actually did have a noticeable effect on my reactability in games and my aim was overall better, I have tried going back to 144hz because i thought "i won't notice a 16 fps difference" and i was never more wrong. I have been hoping to eventually get a 240hz monitor but judging by the fact that frame drops are going to take a massive toll on my gaming I am undecided.
What CPU are you running ? If your CPU can run at 5.0ghz all cores it should be fine to push a 240hz Monitor at 1440P easily with low latency. I’m running a 10900K overclocked to 5.2ghz on all cores using a 360hz Asus monitor 1440P with a Rtx 3090 GPU overclock, and I can get 360 max frames with low latency in all my COD Games. You gotta have a good fast CPU and GPU and everything else will fall into place.
Yeah the more you hz you add , the less imporant they become . This is why from 30 to 60 its extremely huge difference but from 60 to 90 it isn't as big .
Entire Video summary: It's difficult/annoying to work with lower refresh rates after working on higher refresh rates. No need to watch the entire video.
240/360hz will be the standard for gaming monitors in 2023/24. There is 0 reason to fear having to "go back" to a lower refresh rate. Outside of gaming, there is no perceivable difference between 144/240/360hz.
It's literally impossible to play current games 1440p max settings at 240fps with any pc. 60fps is the new standard and I doubt 120fps will replace 60 for a VERY long time. It took like one or two decades to replace the 30fps standard.
The ips panel I have seems to be fine going down to 120 fps from its base 170. Honestly I probably would be fine sticking to 120hz panels in the future, but ips is where I'll stay at for the foreseeable future.
Finally going to upgrade my PC soon, currently playing on a 60hz, 7ms, 1080p monitor that once was my TV screen. The colours are horrendous too, but so is my entire setup.
HZ make difference the higher percentage of them you add, for example 30 to 60 is a 30fps increase, but as it is 2x more, it is so much better, the same way as 240 to 360 doesn't feel as absurd even though it is a 120fps increase because it is actually just a 50% increase.
Couple things here. First I like to say you're pretty hilarious with good energy I like it. I also would like to state that the G7 240 is a dog to be monitor personally awful monitor to benchmark from. If you're competitive gamer or play FPS games like I do frequently a higher refresh rate is a must because every second counts in competitive playlist. Personally you would not see diminishing returns unless your PC could not handle it and which case you're just trying to push something you don't need to. Nothing wrong with having a 240 hertz monitor a quality monitor and going into the monitor settings and knocking it down to 120 or 144 to better pair with the PC. High refresh rate, if you could push it in for it, is 1000% the way to go for competitive dedicated gamers. If you just coolin you might not need it but if you have the equipment you will not see diminishing returns like that. Enjoyed the Vid!
I've been on a 240 hz TN panel monitor since 2020 but again I'm mostly a multi-player guy. For single player people I wouldn't go above 144hz in fact, I'd strictly game on a 4k TV if I was into those kind of games.
Im a single player guy And i prioritise more than anything visual quality but i also hate oled. Had 2 oled tvs and after a year the picture quality was garbage and full of burn in from windows icon's etc So I want mini led, with miniled i get 90% close to oled but have no problems with burn in and dimming display I also want minimum 32" And at 32" 1080p with 60ppi just looks like hot garbage And 1440p is my favourite resolution for 27" but at 32" the ppi is just not high enough for my taste So i went with a Samsung neo g8 which to be honest i think looks better than oled with how bright the colours are compared and the mini led with 1200 zones just make it look straight up like oled to me, and after a year the picture is still bright and no burn in like oled. It is 240hz which I can't reach in all games i play as i only have a 3070 but i really like windows at 240hz Also people complain about scanlines, but if you turn off vrr and put the monitor to srgb then unless you are 1cm away from the monitor they are un noticeable. Honestly best monitor i ever had . Yeah an oled is a 10/10 in the beginning but already after a year it's a 6/10 because how dim it is and the burn in really bothers me and I can't stand it, while a mini led is a 9/10 forever
After all of that explanation I really still don’t even know why you think it’s a bad idea to go to 240hz like because the image quality will be worse or something? Idk
I've been gaming on tripple 32" 2K @ 240Hz LG gaming monitors in my sim racing rig since 2020 and absolutely love them. Will definitely upgrade to 4K high refreshrate OLED monitors whenever the 4090Ti is released.
Looking to get a Alienware 32” 4K QD-OLED @ 240Hz Nvid G-SYNC+VESA for game development on UnReal Engine 5. I get a $400 discount when paired with the Aurora R16 desktop do you think that’s a good deal? Total comes up to $6k lmk thanks
240 seems to be like a great spot for video though. I'm on 165 now, but 240 would be amazing because it's a multiple of 24, 30 and 60. 120 is, too, but it's the absolute lower bound for me. I don't need it for the refresh rate proper, but just because video players don't support VRR.
3:59 great point...problem with 240hz monitors.... you need expensive hardware and motion clarity tends to suffer at the lower refresh range if you can't max the monitor out. Part of the problem is mouse sensitivity...unless you have a full g-sync monitor with variable refresh rate (expensive and that may add latency)...the input stays at 240 hz...even if you change to 120hz refresh rate....so your mouse is 2x as sensitive as it should be.
@@real13D The point is not to spend all that money in the first place for 240hz...as it creates new problems and expenses and does not really make a huge improvement in motion clarity.
@@enessengul219 be my guest and spend more on mice with sensitivity buttons...and added bloatware software to control them...windows mouse settings also does not do a great job of adjusting sensitivity in games...in some it might work fine...in others it can create dead-zones or over-sensitivity.
Honestly above 144 htz the refresh rate becomes less noticeable, and law of diminishing returns kicks in... 60 htz you get new frame every 16.67 milli second 144hz you get new frame 6.9 millisecond 180 htz you get new frame in 5.6 millisecond 240hz you get new frame every 4.2 millisecond
Sir, you don't need to be pushing 240fps to benefit and notice the higher 240hz refresh rate. It's absolutely ok to upgrade to a higher refresh rate monitor without updating your other components. Unless you are going to a higher resolution.
Currently have G7 Odyssey (240hz) Rig is: R7 7800X3D 4070Ti 32gb DDR5 6000mhz Think I should stick with this monitor? I play escape from tarkov mainly but also play CS and R6. I definitely don’t know the “best” monitor settings to use
I am rocking 270hz 1440p monitor right now To be honest I fell the diffrence when it comes to latency and ressolution but personally I think there is not that mutch diffrence between 270 and 144hz when it comes to seeing it, but overall performance in games should be better (like it is in my case)
@@ianrust3785 I have rtx 4080 and I do play cs go with like 400-500 FPS and overwatch with 350 FPS, still there is like minor difference in my opinion.
I think people are so concerned about FPS they forget about picture quality. I took back my 240 Hz Asus because the color/sharpness took a hit. I tried loading the color profile & adjusting the color settings, but my 60 Hz Samsung was noticably more crisp & had much better color. I would also like to add HDR is a joke. I'm gonna have to wait for a 27" Oled 1440p monitor.
I went from 165hz LCD back to my old 85hz CRT just for giggles and to be honest.. i haven't seen such a fluid motion in last 15 years. No screen tearing, no ghosting, no input lag and no pixels! Also not so bright or clear as modern monitors, but still the motion clarity is totally something else. Someday i will go back to my 165hz monitor, but now i gonna have some fun with this year 2001 Sony trinitron CRT
I purchased a LG CX 55' 120hz last year, and my rig is Ryzen 7 3800X, Asus ROG Strix 3080ti. My system latency is usually between 25-28ms. I think that's pretty good for playing 4k res.
75 Hz, I paid too much for my first 1080p monitor because I wanted an IPS one (and I still think I was right to do it). Now after 14 months or so that I bought it I have fell in love with the fact that it's colour range is reportedly 72% NTSC and the calibration was very easy (not that I got technical about it, but some games and movies just simply look better on it despite not having the same good contrast from an OLED display).
4:33 Interesting that latency only reduces by 25% when moving from 144hz to 240hz. I would have expected a much greater latency improvement by almost halving your frame time but it looks like the total "click to photons" pipeline doesn't allow for significant gains past 144hz.
@@budthecyborg4575 The Xg2431 for example is only $280 USD or whatever. Hardly a "comprimise" in cost. Input latency, frametimes, scanout time, monitor response time etc. is all far superior. Even if you ran that specific monitor at 120 fps in 240hz mode, it would be greatly beneficial.
@@griffin1366 Fair enough yes, if you're playing CS:GO then 240hz is very affordable. Good luck hitting 200fps with Ray Tracing, or in an open world game like Flight Sim. The kind of hardware you need to hit 240fps in these scenarios doesn't exist yet, and when it does it will be very expensive.
@@budthecyborg4575 You underestimate what can run that high. Regardless, you missed my point entirely. Faster scannout time, lower response times, less input lag, even running at 120 fps. Friend of mine benchmarked Flight sim at 1080p on the 13900k and 7800X3D and had above 200 fps. He didn't say if it was low or high settings etc. but it's possible.
Amazing video, I have a 144hz atm but I want a 240hz, and this video caught me right before I was going to buy one haha, I might still buy one but we will see..
I’m too far gone 😂😂😂 I bought a 240 hz monitor at 1080p at the end of 2017, and yes, my old computer could render all those frames in the games it mattered. I just bought a 240hz monitor at 1440p last week for my new comp and i absolutely love it, but like I said, I’m too far gone. Unless you have money to blow, don’t do it!
I've been gaming in 4K 120hz since 2020 so I can't go back at this stage. This is on a 75" QLED HDR Samsung though, so the tradeoff is worth it. Going higher fps definitely has to crank down the resolution but it's all personal preference.
I'm sticking to 60hz at FHD until I'm confident I can keep up with the cost of maintaining better. If I don't run games with horrible aliasing and no good AA I can probably stay there until it's no longer an option. I'll just keep myself trained on it as long as I can to save on hardware and power consumption which includes climate control for your personal space if it heats too much.
@@quilzy3266 I'm under the impression it's only a problem after experiencing it. The higher the resolution and refresh rate you experience, the higher the ongoing cost to maintain that level of comfort that you now can't feel comfortable below. I follow global socioeconomic, political and mass migration trends. It doesn't look good. Just maintain a baseline and stay there until the bottom level pushes above that. It's the best way to hold down your long run cost of living and instead not be effected when the economy decides no job nor other income for you, even if there are plenty of openings. Pay special attention to people who fled the worst places and trends and undertones in your homeland.
can you make a video talking about what to be aware to prevent damaging your game monitor... like burn-in or other harmfull thing to avoid... my monitor got damaged by being too long in on a static image
I totally understand the diminishing returns argument. I have both a new OLED that is 120hz capable and a 144hz gaming laptop, and I hardly ever use the 120hz mode when playing games on my OLED because to be honest a smooth 60fps always looks good enough and trying to chase FPS beyond that usually results in the diminishing returns, compromises need to be made. On PC this issue is less pronounced as games just sort of naturally run as fast as they can, but that said I hardly notice a difference between 144 and 60 going between my PC and game consoles.
Ok so I have 2 HP Omen 27 which has 240hz and 1440p! The thing I noticed is that HP stopped selling them a year ago and now they are releasing the same monitor again next month. Something get off with my monitor and I wonder why they discontinued it for over a year and re releasing it with minor updates, maybe I can qualify for a replacement if they were faulty
I'm running an LG C1 at 120hz, in the 90's I ran most of my games at 80hz but I was always in awe of the smoothness of 120hz (which my 19" CRT could only do at 640x480). In the next five years I hope to have an 8K OLED that does both 8K120 and 4K240 to swap between immersive games or competitive games.
@@John69420 Any high end GPU in the last half-decade can run 90% of games at 8K120. People only act like 8K is "unattainable" because they CHOOSE to run settings that kill performance.
@@John69420 I've been playing Skyrim in 8K ever since the 980Ti came out (4X Super Sampling). All we need to make 8K120 a reality is actual 8K 120 displays.

I'm on 240hz (Neo G8) however it depends on the game, you can just play at lower fps in more demanding titles. Another point being that It depends on the person, and what tradeoffs they might be willing to live with.
@@TheRealElectricOutdoors yup, but it's not a big deal when watching content or playing games. because you can't see it. I use this 24/7 you only see it when looking at static windows taskbar or menu stuff. honestly it's overblown. my biggest issue is the anti reflection matt coating they used. I wish it was more glossy. even so, I know the color shifts when you move your head so I think this panel technology is just very limited anyway. Let's all just wait for next gen tech. For those that can afford it and didn't want to wait there's either throw away OLED tv's ( due to burn in ) I don't know what it's like really, but I figure it might happen. And yeah this isn't perfect but it's still better than 99% of monitors out there.
I recently went from 3 27in 1080p 60Hz monitors to 3 27in 1440p 165Hz monitors with much better color accuracy to boot. I definitely wouldn't go back! I really don't need 240Hz, but I am thinking about an 120Hz OLED as a fourth monitor on the wall, especially if I can find a decent GPU for 4K gaming at a decent value...
I just upgraded to an LG C2 42 as my main monitor not too long ago. I still have my 27in 1440p 165hz as my secondary. 4k OLED makes it so hard to go back to anything less even if it is only 120hz.
I bought a 240hz for csgo and valorant, but now when i try to play other games (like solo player games) its always a pain to get the 240fps especially in more recent games.
My display is at 120hz refresh currently, but i'm also using gsync so if my gpu doesn't produce enough frames, it'll lower it depending on current performance. vrr is pretty awesome. I'm running an lg cx 48" 4k 120hz oled. I have absolutely ZERO interest in higher frame rates because my 4090 isn't going to give me enough frames to drive it.
@joshhardin666 who on earth told you that's what Gsync does? Gsync is used to keep the FPS and refresh the same. So if your fos goes 133fps 136fps 142fps the hz will do the same so it lowers input lag/frame timing and screen tearing is also removed. For gysnc too work you MUST enable vsync in the Nvidia control panel otherwise if your FPS goes above the Gsync range of the Gsync module/compatible it will make things worse. Nvidia promoted the use of Vsync with Gsync for years but most have no idea and I find so many people who aren't even using it because without Vsync on it won't work just Google it. 🙏
Currently using 144Hz monitors in gaming, and a 120Hz TV with the LG C2 48". Edit: For me I'm not into competitive shooter games, I'm more into story driven RPGs, RTS and city-builder games and whenever I do play multi-player it's usually on a PS5 with my aforementioned LG C2. I'll be sticking with my 1440p 144Hz LCD VA monitor as my main PC display for the foreseeable future, maybe upgrade to OLED down the road at a later date when my machine outgrows my monitor's capabilities.
I've learned one thing since I got my first 240 hz monitor.... The sharpness during motion is from another universe. Especially with an Oled monitor. That's the only thing that blew me away. Responsiveness, snappiness, smoothness etc. is the same as with 60 hz. But I'm crazy for a sharp picture so I'm pretty much bound to at least 120 hz 😅
@@Ziv9been rocking the CX oled 120 hz for sometimes now. Yes to a 240hz, I couldn't wait for the rest of 2024 model to drop so pull the plug on the new 32 4k 240 hz Alienware .
I just bought Samsung Odyssey G4 25" 240Hz because your video convinced me thank u ☺️ in all seriousness I play very competitive on games like call of duty and Fortnite do u think this monitor is a gd choice ?
FPS and Hz don't have to match, so there's also that... if you want 240Hz primarily for the smooth desktop feel (cursor etc) with VRR (GSync/Freesync) you can just run games at whatever FPS makes sense. I'd still CAP the games though for more consistency and to reduce fan noise... and just FYI, when I ran my games at 1440p on my 4K G2 OLED I expected the games to look slightly blurry like pretty much everybody said they would but it wasn't that obvious to me... also some games have modern scaling so, for example, I tried running at 4K and dropped the resolution to 50% in Kena Bridge of Spirits (so 1080p render then upscaled) and that game looked pretty great on my GTX1080... my big disappointment was I thought my GTX1080 would work for GSync/Freesync but it didn't... there's no VRR through HDMI on that card so check into that if you're unsure... maybe a 240Hz, 1440p OLED would make sense for a new desktop monitor (vs my 60Hz) but then I'm not sure about black crush (an issue on my LG G2 OLED for sure) and the sub-pixel layout means text issues... at some point you just SIGH and put off the upgrade because things are working well enough for now.
Im going to buy FHD 500 hz for new PC in future...and leave my old PC with CURVED FHD 240 Hz xDDDDD I've seen no differense(even slighly) for my eyes when i tried 3440x1440, and not even thinking to get QHD in future, till FHD run out of stock
I got 240Hz 24.5 Inch monitor. and 144Hz 24.5 Inch. Thinking about going for 165Hz 27 inch. and 144Hz 27 inch, instead. Is it good? All of them are 1ms BTW.
Have a origional G7 myself and enjoyed 240hz for some time. Mostly play competitive games like CSGo, with some CoD and its been great for those uses. Also good for web browsing and scrolling. Can't go back to lower refresh rates on LCD as it looks so stuttery in comparison. Even 165hz. Reminds me of the smoothness of CRT's. I'd imagine OLED's being even smoother, especially the 240hz ones.
G7 is my new monitor. Wasn't sure at first but turns out I love the curve and can definitely see, let alone feel the difference between even 240 and 165. Back4Blood is lit at 240fps 😁
This just leaves people confused. I don't think you changed anyone's mind outside of "just choose the monitor that looks best to you even if it has lower numbers".....which is sort of a given you know.

I got a 240hz lg ultra gear, and I don’t regret it whatsoever! It’s honestly so smooth and improved my gameplay by at least 2x not even kidding. But I’m think of spending the extra money and just getting the neo g8 bc it’s a bigger screen, curved, and also 240hz, but instead of being 1440p, it is 4k which is insane. You don’t see 4k monitors at THAT high of a refresh rate for only $900 so for its price it’s really good. ( I just wish it was an oled panel and not va :/ )
Going from 120hz Warzone on PS5, back to Black Ops4 60Hz was terribly noticeable. But after a couple hours, yours eyes read adjust. So going back from 240 to 144 shouldn't be too hard for eyes to read adjust, seeing the more FPS at the higher end, the less your eyes are able to notice like you clearly can from 120 to 60.
changed main monitor from LCD 27" 2k 144 hz to LG C2 42" 4k 120hz. still use both though task / game dependent just tossed the old 24" old secondary screen to backup status, still driving it all with a OC 9600k and 3070 . have an entire new pc in bits but have been denying myself the upgrade reward for now (13600k / 4080 / Z690 )
My monitor has 120hz. It's an LG C1 55''. 120hz is fine and I mostly play RPGs many of which are hard capped at 60FPS (or even just 30...). So no you can't change my mind that I need more than 120hz.

A little late to this video but I’m getting my first ever PC and I’m having trouble trying to find if I should get a 165hz or a 240hz. I would also appreciate if you could reply with an Amazon link to a monitor you might recommend for me
Wqhd 144hz 4k 120hz I'm almost exclusive to single player games. I've tried multi player games but it brings back in the social pressure that I play games to escape so...
I have 2 monitors on my current setup. A 27in 1440p 144hz monitor and a 32in 1440p 165hz monitor. I can't really tell a difference between my 165hz display and 144hz display as far as smoothness. However, trying to use a 60hz monitor now feels terrible and I don't see myself every buying a monitor below 144hz in the future. Not going to upgrade to 240hz anytime soon as I would be far more likely to purchase a 4k monitor at 120 or 144hz in the future. My graphics card now is only really well equipped for 4k gaming at 60hz being the RTX 3080 So I will probably wait for the next generation of graphics cards to consider a monitor upgrade since games feel great on my 4k 60-inch TV at 60hz as long as I'm using a controller and 100+ fps in 1440p still looks smooth and pretty clear to me.
I`m using a so-called "Fast IPS" 165 Hz 0,8ms 24" FullHD 1080p monitor with AMD FreeSync Premium for my AMD system (5600X + 6700 12 GB + 32GB 3600 RAM) and I`m happy with it.
been using 240 hz for a couple of years at this point, swapped back to 120 like 2-3 weeks before i came across this video... Mostly in preparation for my new LG OLED TV which has 120 hz... I plan on using my new OLED TV as the new monitor, and repurposing my 240 hz LCD as a bedroom TV. 120 hz feels a bit meh at first, but you adapt to it again, so just stick with it and you wont notice it soon enough! xD
I have 165hz on my Pixio but I never use it, because the gfx card fans kick in when I'm playing RT games and it gets loud and I worry about the electric bill, lol. I go down to 120 and even 60fps to quiet it down, and really after a while you get used to it, it only sucks when you're in a fast paced FPS like Doom, which I might turn back up and turn RT off if I'm struggling on a section
1:31 170hz love it, my second monitor is 100hz. I do really like my 170hz monitor as its more than enough for Xbox Series X gaming...i will porbably uograde my second monitor to 170hz also.

If you want the best latency use a CRT monitor. Technology killed before it's time to truly shine 🤔

And i prioritise more than anything visual quality but i also hate oled. Had 2 oled tvs and after a year the picture quality was garbage and full of burn in from windows icon's etc
So I want mini led, with miniled i get 90% close to oled but have no problems with burn in and dimming display
I also want minimum 32"
And at 32" 1080p with 60ppi just looks like hot garbage
And 1440p is my favourite resolution for 27" but at 32" the ppi is just not high enough for my taste
So i went with a Samsung neo g8 which to be honest i think looks better than oled with how bright the colours are compared and the mini led with 1200 zones just make it look straight up like oled to me, and after a year the picture is still bright and no burn in like oled.
It is 240hz which I can't reach in all games i play as i only have a 3070 but i really like windows at 240hz
Also people complain about scanlines, but if you turn off vrr and put the monitor to srgb then unless you are 1cm away from the monitor they are un noticeable.
Honestly best monitor i ever had .
Yeah an oled is a 10/10 in the beginning but already after a year it's a 6/10 because how dim it is and the burn in really bothers me and I can't stand it, while a mini led is a 9/10 forever

What a problem to change mouse settings? U pay 500+ dead pres and cannot buy a modern mouse, am I right?

Now after 14 months or so that I bought it I have fell in love with the fact that it's colour range is reportedly 72% NTSC and the calibration was very easy (not that I got technical about it, but some games and movies just simply look better on it despite not having the same good contrast from an OLED display).
4:33 Interesting that latency only reduces by 25% when moving from 144hz to 240hz.
I would have expected a much greater latency improvement by almost halving your frame time but it looks like the total "click to photons" pipeline doesn't allow for significant gains past 144hz.
Better response times + higher refreshrate (obviously).

Edit:
For me I'm not into competitive shooter games, I'm more into story driven RPGs, RTS and city-builder games and whenever I do play multi-player it's usually on a PS5 with my aforementioned LG C2.
You must be a time traveler, oled at 240 hrz doesn't exist until 2024.
@@studior3dd?? 240hz OLED's have been out for over a year now
@ziv1673 he edited his messages, he mention 4k 240 hz. There were only 240 hz for 1440p but not in 4k.
@studior3dd ah, that makes sense. I'm pretty happy with 1440p oled for gaming. 4k is too much res for too little frames imo, you plan to upgrade?
My C2 doesn't want to upscale to fit the screen when trying to play at a lower resolutions...how did you get your games to automatically adjust?
im sorry but i dont get it geting a 240 hz will make my gaming expirance worse ? i mean im upgrading from my 75 hz so im not sure thats the case
I'm still going to buy a 240hz monitor.
Im going to buy FHD 500 hz for new PC in future...and leave my old PC with CURVED FHD 240 Hz xDDDDD
I've seen no differense(even slighly) for my eyes when i tried 3440x1440, and not even thinking to get QHD in future, till FHD run out of stock
@@pesockek Me personally, U want the Samsung Odyssey Neo 8.
I don't think you changed anyone's mind outside of "just choose the monitor that looks best to you even if it has lower numbers".....which is sort of a given you know.
he was just talking to be honest.
Everyone who used to play on plasma felt the same way when we went from 600hz to 60hz in this "high-tech" LED market shift.
I’m gonna get the LG 27" UltraGear QHD (2560x1440) Gaming Monitor, 240Hz, 1ms, VESA DisplayHDR 400, G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort, 4-Pole HP Out DTS HP:X, Tilt/Height/Pivot Stand, Black how do you think with would be on a ps5 ?
Why would u need 240 hz for a ps5
why are you so silly and cheeky? who the fuck is this silly little goofy guy, hes got so much energy
Are you going to review the LG 45 240hz monitor.. I know that ultrawide 1440p is turning a lot of people off, but I was curious if you were going to post a vid on it. Great vid btw
I have an 27LG83A - B which i use for my GPU 4070 Ti, do you suggest upgrade the monitor to get more out the GPU quality and respons-time?
240hz in 1440p or 120hz in 4k?? What do you prefer?
So is 165hz good? Should I do 240 or stay at 165? I'm not a computer person but I want somthing good
Had 27/1440/240/IPS (FI27Q-X) and I loved it. Picked it based on response time after trying horrible Samsung VA and I can't wait to be making enough money to start dailying something like this again. Ideally an OLED but not initially.
I play Destiny, Apex and CSS bhop and I'm an overclocker for hire with pretty good hw.
what's your opinion on the new LG OLED 1440p 240hz monitor?
Happy with 240hz upscaled 4k. I can't possibly go back every though.
Waiting on the day of a true 4k 240hz monitor that beats out what I currently have.
All for upgrading...just waiting for something to topple a Odyssey Neo G9. I need my needleesly huge screens man 😂 addicted to immersion.

is 280hz enough tho?
Thank you, I actually did change my mind and will be going for a less lucrative 180 hz monitor.
Already ruined my life working for Family Dollar. If I could afford one, I'm sure one of these wouldn't hurt as bad lmao
lmao, true
been playing 1080p@60hz my entire life, already cracked in the games i play so im hoping the refresh rate boost will also boost my performance
Definitely will.
I game on a 1440p 165hz Gigabyte IPS panel, very happy with it.
I have a cheap monitor, only 400€ total with shipping, it is 32" 4k 240hz mini led with over 1000 zones. I think for 400€ it's an okay price
Which one
Currently on an Odyssey G5 at 165hz, 1440p. Plan to upgrade to 4k later this year and seriously looking at the 57" Odyssey G9. It's 240hz :)
I'm seriously contemplating a c2 4k tv on a 4090 build for plex and gaming.
Just torn on 7950x or 7800x3d on the cpu.
My monitor has 120hz. It's an LG C1 55''. 120hz is fine and I mostly play RPGs many of which are hard capped at 60FPS (or even just 30...). So no you can't change my mind that I need more than 120hz.
Odyssey g4 is good 240hz monitor for competitive games (and colors) overall?
I had the xl2546k 240hz. Just bought the Innocn 4k 160hz 27" Mini Led. I can lower the resolution for high frames and max settings for high fidelity gaming. Very satisfied.
144h since 2018 on my desktop, 60hz on my laptop, 120hz on my phone and it is almost always at 60 for battery life :)
i use various devices in a daily basis that have 30, 60, 90, 120 or 144hz displays
ASUS ROG XG27AQM the color and picture is amazing I wouldn't go back to anything below 240Hz. Everything feels super smooth I got a 6900XT with a 5900X
A little late to this video but I’m getting my first ever PC and I’m having trouble trying to find if I should get a 165hz or a 240hz. I would also appreciate if you could reply with an Amazon link to a monitor you might recommend for me
In the same boat. Which one did you buy
Wqhd 144hz
4k 120hz
I'm almost exclusive to single player games.
@@lartilus Nope. Still doing pretty well with my RTX 3080.
I`m using a so-called "Fast IPS" 165 Hz 0,8ms 24" FullHD 1080p monitor with AMD FreeSync Premium for my AMD system (5600X + 6700 12 GB + 32GB 3600 RAM) and I`m happy with it.
this is probably one of the dumbest videos i've seen in a while. but hey, you beat the algorithm and ended up on my feed somehow, well done.
In my opinion it’s tough to say that there’s diminishing returns but that it’s super noticeable going back to 144 in the same sentence.
been using 240 hz for a couple of years at this point, swapped back to 120 like 2-3 weeks before i came across this video... Mostly in preparation for my new LG OLED TV which has 120 hz... I plan on using my new OLED TV as the new monitor, and repurposing my 240 hz LCD as a bedroom TV.
120 hz feels a bit meh at first, but you adapt to it again, so just stick with it and you wont notice it soon enough! xD
This guy jumped at me at the beginning. I think he is coming after me.
