I personally think these HP Omen monitors are kind of slept on. I upgraded my computer recently and decided to get some new monitors to go along with the new computer. I settled on the 1440p 240hz variant of this monitor called the Omen 27qs. I was able to find these monitors on sale for about $350 per monitor and I decided to purchase two of them... Let me tell you, I've loved every second of using these monitors! The 1440p resolution and the 240hz refresh rate make the monitors a joy to look at! The colors are really nice on the monitors, especially after adjusting the display settings to my own liking (RTINGS also has a calibration you can download and apply within Windows). These monitors pack so many features compared to anything else on the market, they are kind of hard to beat. If you are on the fence about getting any of the Omen 27 monitors, whether the 27q or 27qs or 27k, just do it! You will not regret your purchase!
I never really considered getting something from HP (or Omen) or Dell or companies like it, but man these are actually good! I appreciate you commenting and sharing your insight on your experience, I'm having a good time with this monitor so far :)
Hey bro I bought the same Monitor but using it for the ps5, is there any settings to tweak on the ps5 side or monitor side to take full advantage of what this monitor has to offer
@@bryanm9022 I’m not sure about how it will work with the PS5. AFAIK you don’t have the ability to use the monitor at 240hz in 1440p with HDMI, only display port. I essentially turned all the refresh rate settings as high as they go. Reply to the comment tomorrow to remind me and I’ll post my settings on the display when I get the chance
The audio of the monitor sounded really horrible and crunchy+distorted? Is that how it sounds in real life as well, or was it just the mic making the audio sound bad 😅
Didn't sound too good in person either. I would only use it if I was watching a quick video or something. I actually haven't used the speakers at all besides making this video.
Hi, how did u change it to native mode? The colour option in the menue is greyed out, too Already set back back to factory settings, but no change Best regards
As good as any other monitor on the market. It's also from a reputable brand such as HP. Only time will tell how long this one lasts, but I have not heard of any bad long-term issues with these monitors.
In NVIDIA Control Panel, when selecting on this monitor, does it say "Selected Display is not validated as G-SYNC Compatible" for you? The monitor has a sticker saying G-SYNC compatible on it, should this be a concern?

Hey, Does the type C laptop connected also charge the laptop?
Yes!
11:05 I do believe you need to use an HDMI 2.1 port to take full advantage of the 4k 144hz via a macbook pro.
You might have to. I had a HDMI 2.0 on my gpu and couldn't increse to 144Hz at 4k. However, it worked w/ display port.
Hi, thanks for the helpful commentary on this excellent monitor, please advise does it runs on wi-fi? Regards JB
Got this for $200 a few months ago 😊
woooow what a steal!

Long term is it still holding up? Monitors always great out the box but issues usually show up after a few months
It cost $722.99 on Amazon today Oct 3, 2024
Unrelated question, where do you buy games to play GTA 5, or Cyberpunk 2077 on PC? I'm getting into PC gaming, so all I know is Steam lol xD
Yea lol I basically get them on Steam
eneba or g2a

how did u change it to native mode?
The colour option in the menue is greyed out, too
Already set back back to factory settings, but no change
Best regards
Did you play at 4k 120FPS? directly from the ps5?
How is the long term reliability on HP monitors?
As good as any other monitor on the market. It's also from a reputable brand such as HP. Only time will tell how long this one lasts, but I have not heard of any bad long-term issues with these monitors.
Does your HP 27k monitor support VRR 120fps 4k for the PS5 ?
Does this monitor support 4k 120hz with VRR on the ps5 by any chance??
Does it fully charge your laptop while using it with the USC C cable?
Yes! I just bought it a month ago, it's a great gaming/productivity screen
I thought I read this will do 240hz in 1080p. I can't find it anywhere...
it will
How good is this monitor with the consoles?
It's great w/ PS5 which is what I've tested. I can't say anything regarding xbox.
is it G-SYNC Compatible or G-SYNC and how to know which one is!!!
can i use type C input for video from ROG Strix G513IC_G513IC??
Is 4k good on 27 inch? Or is 32 better?
Do you have a DP to hdmi converter voor ps5?
In NVIDIA Control Panel, when selecting on this monitor, does it say "Selected Display is not validated as G-SYNC Compatible" for you? The monitor has a sticker saying G-SYNC compatible on it, should this be a concern?
There are two versions of the same monitor: one with GSync and other without It. Be careful about it
What refresh rate does this run on ps5 native ?
Up to 120 hz. Depends on the game.
damn to bad its not glossy
I didn't give that much thought cause it's still really good, but good point.
asus rog strix xg27uq/R are better.
