In one day of fidgeting with the knife, the blade has flown out of the handle twice, Even after cranking down on the screw, it backs itself out after enough sustained flipping. On a normal knife you might loctite a stubborn screw in place, but with this design... Yeah, not gonna fly. The flipping action sends the blade about 12 feet across the room. Be careful out there!
Gideonstactical had the blade go flying multiple times while he was testing and reviewing the knife. I was really looking forward to this one, but its just not safe to use.
Glad I have my Reate EXO-U and are allowed to carry it where I am for work. Much better design. Civivi really dropped the ball on the blade replacement.
Another knife reviewer had the same problem with the blade flying out. Not well thought out, I'm afraid. You need a quick change mechanism like the other utility knives.
Nice looking knife but that blade flying out of the knife is a major problem. They didn’t do any testing on this design before releasing it. Back to the drawing board guys. 😔😭
The screw mitigates any blade slop that is present in most utility knives. A drop of VB3 solves thr problem, but still allows for blade replacement multiple times.
What blades did you swap to? Can you see the gap from the blade edge to the frame? I put in wider blades that have no gap and seems to stop movement and screw coming loose. Blade hasn't flung out since

Second youtuber with the same issue. Hard pass for me.
No problems with mine after using a larger blade. Fidget for hours with no issues@@MAGR1994
That actually is a tactical feature. You just loosen the screw and then you are able to launch a utility blade like a shuriken. Deadly.
Illegal in California 🤣
Mine never did this... love mine!

Mine is fine. Have not had that problem
I ordered two and one of them did this twice!
Thanks for the review
I had this problem with mine from the blades it came with, but after switching to a different blade that fits wider, I haven't had any issues
Are you still good to this day?
@AllenJun Yes, solid as. Used everyday.

Mine has been good as gold so far and I am def using it daily.

Maybe teflon tape or blue loctite to keep the screw in?

Ooo a button lock throwing knife
Whats that other utility knife you compared it to?
Nuknives Kumpanter
I think you got a dud. I’ve flicked mine hundreds of times and the blade isn’t loose.

Vibratite VC-3?
I had that problem 2. U r not pushing the blade up all the way and cranking it down enough. I haven't had a problem since.
Blue Loc-tite should solve that issue.
Never needed loctite on my $15 Milwaukee fastback. Just sayin’.
Blade swap is a fail.

olight is better cheaper and its availble in canada unlike civivi
Expensive for a Chinese made knife !
My blade has never came out. From the looks of it your blade wasn't properly aligned.
