I have had MANY Gen5s over the last few years. Ive seen a lot of abnormal wear and some significant issues with the frames themselves. Going back to gen3s.
Why are the Gen 3s the best? My only worry is the gripping doesn’t have the texture and will be slippery. I refuse to put talon grips on. Don’t really want to stipple it. Will have to use as is or with rubber grips whenever it comes in from backorder.

I love mine. I can control the recoil beautifully, and I quite prefer the finger grooves and the stipple. It's better than the gen 5 ones for sure. I have a 48 mos with the gen 5 stipple, and I can see the difference. I can control it just as good, but it slips from my hands, and I have to readjust every once in a while. The only problem that I have with the gen 3 G19, is the mag release. I can barely press it. It's just too tiny and too angled. I've been looking for some aftermarket aluminum ones. They will probably make this the perfect gun for me.
I haven’t fired it yet. Im still waiting for my ammo to come in but i have messed around with it. Its the perfect size for my smaller hands. Just not used to guns so I have a hard time cocking it.
I normally carry a Smith n Wesson 9mm EZ. but it only 8 +1 magazine. I put a glock 19 in lay a way today. Getting it out Friday or Saturday. Can't wait to shoot it. It should be a treat from what people say.
How many of you noticed the demonstrator went to the slide release BEFORE pressing the magazine release button, releasing the magazine? The magazine should be taken out first. Once you get the magazine out, you want to check the chamber to make sure there is not a round there. You can slide the barrel back while pressing up on the slide release to lock the barrel back for inspection.
My first-ever gun the "Glock 19 gen 3" wit a custom GGP V2 slide bought it a couple of months ago, love it 4 life now 😁, so sexy, tough,n reliable 🙌🔥💯#GlockBoyz #StayGlocky
Very informative video. Thank you for the detail and for having perfect audio. I was on the fence between Glock 17 or 19 and this video helped me decide. Thank you.
Glock needs to call their generations “options” rather than generations which indicate a clear step forward. Some changes are backwards. Most of the differences are personal preferences like finger grooves and texture.
Only thing I didn’t like about the Gen 3 Glocks were the sticky mag releases on two different 19 models I tried. So I went the P80 route but I’m just curious if that’s common on Gen 3 Glocks?
It's the "workhorse " of the Glock line. I'm talking about the original Gen 3 early 1990s and up to maybe 2008 or so. Not to crazy about today's gen 3. I think glocks have went downhill. The finish sucks. MIM parts= meh
I have 5 glocks all gen4 including a g19 and g23... I kinda want a gen 3 19 from all the good things I’ve heard.. what do you think? Having 2 19s would be redundant?
Do to where I’m stationed, I limited to Gen 3’s. Are they inferior? I have a G19 Gen 3 on backorder. My only worry are the grips being too slippery when hands are sweaty or wet. I refuse to put talon grips on and really don’t want to have it stippled. Guess I’ll have to use it as is or use a rubber grip. Bought an aftermarket beaver tail. Not worried about the spring since it’s a 9mm. Is the Gen 3 worth it? Is it inferior? I like the grip texture on the Gen 4s. Thank you.
Anyone that says Glock 19 sucks are off in some way. However I will say that there are other guns that may feel better, look nicer, have better sights but no one can say that they suck and know anything about guns.
I totally agree. Glocks are fantastic handguns. There are other guns on the market that are just as reliable and may have other features that someone likes better. Doesn't take anything away from Glock they are proven reliable guns.
You don't need to worry about the gap between the slide and the frame on a Glock. That's completely normal and is just the way it manufactured. I'm going to post a quick video about it showing the differences between the glock and some other stiker fired polymer pistols.
Any gun overall has gone up significantly in price. Even for used ones. Bought my Ruger 556 for $600 last March and today just went to a gun store and it’s now selling for $1000

I’m planning on ordering this gun sometime soon. Have you come around to using your glock yet?
I haven’t fired it yet. Im still waiting for my ammo to come in but i have messed around with it. Its the perfect size for my smaller hands. Just not used to guns so I have a hard time cocking it.
I normally carry a Smith n Wesson 9mm EZ. but it only 8 +1 magazine. I put a glock 19 in lay a way today. Getting it out Friday or Saturday. Can't wait to shoot it. It should be a treat from what people say.
My favorite generation is the Generation 4 and Gen3 but the new Gen5 MOS is awesome.
Great channel!! Redleg here! 45D ,13B ,88M. I have a gen. three G-19 enroute! Have a blessed Memorial Day,🇺🇸
The AK47 of handguns !! 😎👍🏼
I love my g19 gen 3
Awesome video. You have a great voice. I have the 17 gen 3. #FJB

Ninjamaster77 has I appreciate it. Got to get moving on new content. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Great video, love my G19 gen3.
I saw a brand new G19 gen 3 in my local gun store this week. It was only $20 cheaper than all the other brand new glocks
G19 is Glock perfection.
love the gen 3 .
great video ,definitely i'm going to buy this model.
I like the conversion kits to 22lr or a glock 23 gen slide make it a 40sw
I just picked one up used in great condition with 2 mags for 325 out the door.
I took off the finger grooves highly recommend
That and a little undercut. My favorite of all time. Buttery smooth.
Thanks for the terrific post!
Gen 3 single recoil spring, 3 pin frame, made in Austria - best handgun ever made
Isn't the dual recoil spring in Gen 4 and 5 better?
Thank you for your review.very professinal.
Only thing I didn’t like about the Gen 3 Glocks were the sticky mag releases on two different 19 models I tried. So I went the P80 route but I’m just curious if that’s common on Gen 3 Glocks?
A perfect review.
Thank You!
Good review
Thanks for watching!
Just got a Gen 3. It was recommended by a family friend who’s well versed. So generally speaking it’s regarded as the best Gen?
Gen 2 or 3. Gen 4 is trash and gen 5 is meh
I got a gen3 because in commifornia,,that's all they can sell if your not active law enforcement, well guess what I love my glock gen3,
I got me a G19 gen 5 I wish I had got the gen 3 instead the grip on the gen 3 is way better to me than the gen5
Just ordered mine
Minus the trigger absolutely
Just picked one up for $475 at my local pawn shop, I've always wanted a Glock. Is this good for EDC?
Nice I got mine in 2014 I love it bro has only had a issue once and it was while playing with a shitty 30 round aftermarket
glock 19 and the 18c are the best glocks
Had my gen 3 for several yrs now and i also have a ruger pc 9mm which takes glock magazines. Ready for 🧟♂️ zombies 😆
Thanks!
I read an article saying that the Navy Seals prefer the Glock 19 Gen 3 over the Gen 4 and 5. Is this true, and why?
It's the "workhorse " of the Glock line. I'm talking about the original Gen 3 early 1990s and up to maybe 2008 or so. Not to crazy about today's gen 3. I think glocks have went downhill. The finish sucks. MIM parts= meh
Just bought one.
Have it, great gun. However, living in a sh't state we're limited to10 rd mags. I'll take a .45 S&W M&P. Also great.
Hello to you,
Just came across this Glock Gen 3 version. I have learned alot
Thanks again
I have 5 glocks all gen4 including a g19 and g23... I kinda want a gen 3 19 from all the good things I’ve heard.. what do you think? Having 2 19s would be redundant?
Nope great end up of the world backup or use the gen 4 as the back up
Redundant you say never
Its 9mm so the recoil aint bad but hows it compare to the gen 4 and 5 when shooting one handed?
Can the gen 3 take gen 5 magazines?
If they say that, they don't like glocks. 19 gen 3 is the best glock.
Were you and Scootch in the same 3rd grade English class
I replaced the Glock plastic sights with Glock Steel sights.
i love this Gen 3 Glock 19. the problem is money..
Just got my WCL I’m thinking bout a glock 19 as my first one???
is the little slack between the polymer frame body and the top steel is fine? i can see the barrel and the spring...
You don't need to worry about the gap between the slide and the frame on a Glock. That's completely normal and is just the way it manufactured. I'm going to post a quick video about it showing the differences between the glock and some other stiker fired polymer pistols.
i want this really
Sounds like you have a weak firing pin spring. May want to swap that out?
If you live in the gay state of CA it's all we can get. Lol. I just ordered a 19 at Turners Outdoorsmen 599$
Any gun overall has gone up significantly in price. Even for used ones. Bought my Ruger 556 for $600 last March and today just went to a gun store and it’s now selling for $1000
@@joecha9746 I bought a M&P 15 sport 2 in January here in California and I paid close to 1500$ definitely a rip off but cheap AR’s were hard to find during this pandemic
$1500?! Damn that’s super expensive but at least you got it.
What if you are left handed?
Can you use Glock 19 gen 5 or gen 4 mags in the gen 3?
Yes
I want to get the polymer 80 of this gun
Live in California want gen 5 but can only have gen 3
Quit whining. Nobody cares
