Sweet heart don't do that please. I pre poo my the before my wash and after washing I seal my hair moisture with kernel oil because it's a penetrating oil. And I also oil my hair once or twice a week and my hair grows more half an inch every month. Choose what works for you.
I tried stretching for 3 months and by the last month noticed excessive shedding. My stylist has switched me to 2 months and I’m hoping that will make a difference. I’m still beyond happy to have made the decision to end my 9 year natural hair journey. I couldn’t have made the decision without you so thank you for sharing your journey.
Awhhh without me?? 🥺 I’m so honored ! I’m glad that your not getting discouraged by the expressive shedding! Once you get on the right regimen for your hair with the help of your stylist, it’ll be worth the trial and error! ❤️❤️❤️
@Quenosha The rule of thumb, I was given is “if u r shedding...u should have gotten ur relaxer the week before”. That is probably the concept in changing/suggesting 2 mths...probably. I followed that rule of thumb 4 more than 20 years in the same stylist’s chair. Try a DEEP conditioner at home before conceding/following a 2 month regimen. Try it before u surrender the thickness I will bet u r experiencing stretching ur relaxer. (Oh, u probably haven’t seen the slow thinning yet w/ our relaxed hair because u were recently natural. Go w/ every 2 months and you will!). I’m shedding too. I’m @ 10 weeks post. I have successfully made it to 3 mths WITHOUT drama 4 the last year despite being told I don’t have the “type of hair that can make it past 6 weeks”. 😂 . I was not offended but appreciated the raw truth...I thought was truth. During COVID19 shut down, I stretched to 4 months 6 days without drama (breakage or shedding). Based on my recent experience, you and I r in need of lots of moisture...deep conditioner. I’m also experiencing scalp issues I have had historically from lye relaxers. I sat still and allowed the regular Affirm be applied to my hair when I KNOW I need/request the Affirm for Sensitive Scalp. Ensure there was no change in ur last service. I’ve learned...I have 2 trust myself and walk in that trust MORE than my stylist of more than 20 years. She really is amazing just not right about my hair 💯. Know ur hair...learn ur hair. Best of luck!!
@@BriannaRashay no discouragement here. My experience has been better than what I went through in my teenage years. I never planned on going natural, it really just happened. Same here my head sweats so much at night I just can't
Silk is a natural fibre like cotton so it’s breathable and stays cool unlike satin/polyester
