    I have had a bad experience using the ORS relaxer a few months ago. That was what made me shave my hair and go natural again. I am strongly considering going back to relaxers again because no matter what I put on my low porosity hair, it is dry, and I do not have any money to waste to buy a lot of different products to see what works or not. Thanks for the recommendations. And please keep us posted about the UNLAY oil.

    I actually went from using the ORS relaxing system to using Soft and Beautiful because of the natural oils they have in all of their products that come in the kit. I instantly saw a change in my hair. it felt more softer and stronger, with no shedding. even though I love the conditioner that comes in the kit, I substituted it with the Texture ID Deep Treatment Masque, which I sit under the dryer for 30 minutes.

I bought the trial size Oribe gold lust shampoo and conditioner. They smell amazing!! I bought the Oribe Gold Lust transformative Masque also.( I bought full size, it didn’t come in trial size). All products worked well on my hair. I will use the products sparingly. I will buy the full size when I finish the trial sizes. Thanks for the recommendation. I'd like to receive a suggestion from you as your hair is gorgeous and I've seen you have a lot of experience in terms of maintaining the health of the hair.
    I've been wearing my natural 3b/3c curls for more than 4 years now. I decided that I want to relax my hair, but I don't know which is the best product/ application method for me. My hair is thin and I would like to relax it, but at the same time maintain it thick and strong just like you.
    Do you have any suggestions or videos showing how you apply the relaxer and how you style your hair? I want to go to a beauty salon, but I am afraid they do it the wrong way. In my country I see that the majority of women who have relaxed hair, have a lot of hair damage ( very thin and short or medium lenght hair with a lot of breakage ).

      Howdy! Try ORS, but regular box. Also keep your hair moisturized on a regular basis (Jamaican Black Castro Oil, Olive Oil, Alma Oil, Almond Oil, and Peppermint Oil). Take care of your ends by monthly trims or dusting. Don't relax too often, three to four months is best. Place grease around your edges, and ears before starting the relaxer. Put the relaxer on the new growth of your hair, but once applied to your entire head, dont leave on more than 10 minutes. Follow directions on box, and dont let every hair stylist put a chemical in your hair. You'll be fine, and enjoy being relaxed.😇😇😇😇😇

    • @IannaYvonne
      @IannaYvonne  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hello.
      If I’m going to a professional stylist, who is familiar with relaxer application, I would prefer to use lye relaxers. Lye relaxers are harsh on the scalp, but gentler on the hair.
      However, for the person who is not a professional, and unfamiliar with the relaxer application, I recommend no lye. Reduced chance of chemical burns. True, the hair may be dryer, but it’s easier to correct/ treat dryness than scalp burns and inflammation.

      Hello. It depends on the cause of the breakage. If it is your perm, the optimum deft breakage relaxer is amazing. Also the Shea moisture hair oil I mentioned is excellent for dryness and can also be used as a hot oil treatment. I have another video ( how I keep my hair thick and DAMAGE free) where I talk about the supplements I take for hair shedding and hair repair products. The key is pinpointing the cause and focusing on that issue 💕

I did have to cut off the damaged hair but when using it I found my hair was stronger and stopped breaking. I used it for some time but once I felt my hair was in better condition I went to drug store and found good success with the Shea moisture line. The ORIBE was around $60 😬 a bottle. You definitely don’t have to pay that for healthy hair. Thanks for watching.

      @IannaYvonne  3 года назад

      Hello. Thanks for watching ❤️ when I notice my hair breaking I use the living proof restore and repair leave in. You’ll start to notice a decrease in breakage pretty quickly. olaplex no 3 is also good… but work slowly. you should definitely invest in it …. but for long term use to help maintain hair health. Also the black castor oil strengthening masque I mentioned in this video is a good protein treatment for weak brittle hair. Its mild so it won’t overload your hair … which could actually make the breakage worse.
      Also try limiting heat in your hair for a while … and consider a protective style to give your hair a rest from manipulation.

      @Ianna Yvonne I just received my rosemary oil and living proof today. . My unlay oil will be here soon. Can you please inform me of your regime on using these products? I wear updo protective styles because i have thinning at the crown. I can use a dropper to apply oil under bun(human braided hair). My wash day is Friday and I would love love love if you made a shampoo video or just a video on how to correctly use these products. I was going to put the rosemary oil in black seed oil, but I decided to wait and see if you would make a video. If not, I will bingewatch your videos and perhaps I can find the help there. I appreciate you helping us attain healthy hair. Thanks so much!

    • @IannaYvonne
      @IannaYvonne  2 года назад

      @@mika6516 hello!!! Your can mix the rosemary oil with olive oil or black seed oil. Black seed oil is AMAZING for scalp healthy. When I used it however I mixed it with Unlay. I only used the mixture on my edges so I would squirt a pump of Unlay into my palm with a drop or two of rosemary oil and use my fingertips to massage the mixture into my thinning edges. If you have thinning please do not forget to massage the oil into the area for a few minutes ( this increases blood flow and promotes regrowth). Also try to move the position of your bun from time to time. Constant pressure in that area will make thinning worse.
      The living proof can be applied to the hair as often as needed ( it is not a protein treatment). I use it with my moisturizer when I moisturize and seal my hair. I also use it to smooth/ slick my hair into my buns/ ponytails. I detail how I use Unlay and living proof in my “week in my hair vlog” if your interested. You may find it helpful if you haven’t seen it yet. Hope that helps. Reach out with any other questions 💕

      @Ianna Yvonne Thanks for that info. I actually took my bun down. We are talking abt 17 yrs of wearing updos. When it was time for relaxer, I had it wrapped, until it began thinning in the bun area. It was very frustrating, trying to detangle prior to getting a relaxer. But that was when I was going to salon. Haven't been since 2/2020. Since I'm retired, i will ATTEMPT to wear a sidebun or ponytail to move the bun. That area has prob been screaming. Lol. I have ALL your products. I will shampoo tomorrow or Sunday...#fingerscrossed. Lol
