Did you also use Simple Light Moisturizer, Differin, and The Ordinary Niacinamide before, or did you add them when you changed the cleanser? Otherwise, the combination might be too drying, causing your skin to become dehydrated and consequently produce more oil.
@@miriamashour7243 Okay, so it might be a combination of all of them. Here's what I would recommend: Morning: Clean face with CeraVe foaming cleanser (you'll need to purchase this). Alternate mornings using the SA cleanser. Pat dry. If you're going to be exposed to the sun, apply SPF. If not, leave your skin as is. Evening 1: Clean face with CeraVe foaming cleanser. Pat dry. Apply Differin gel and, on alternate nights, use The Ordinary niacinamide. That's the routine!
Maybe it's because of regulation. I ordered them from the US. But I had to pay 22 Dollars for taxes 😞 Probably they will have another "European Version" soon.
I was do happy to find this in stores and scooped it up because love Cerave products and use them daily but this didn't work great for me or I'll have to use it when I think i need it only, Inkey list felt a little better to me...TY 🙏🏽
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Because I use the foaming daily, I thought the acne would be the same but I do not have super oily skin..it made my skin irritated and I saw more breakouts..purging maybe? The inkey list was a little milder but again, I would use the inkey list when I felt my skin needed it. For some reason with the Cerave acne I was trying to use it every night and didn't need to. It was my fault...TY 😁
Sorry for the late reply, but I did not see your answer. It could be purging, yes, since the skin always needs to adjust to the product, which can take a while, so it can happen if the formulation is different. I often have it because I try so many products.
Yes. And for blackheads it is best to use an extracting tool or visit an esthetician who can do it for you. Using such a cleanser may help extend the period of the blackheads returning, but you may need to use it frequently to maintain the effect. It also depends on your personal skin sensitivity, so testing it is necessary.
Yes, because you are not getting to the root cause of your acne; such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors (air & water quality, washing detergent, etc), or your diet (such as consuming too much added sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance; like soy, milk, bread (gluten), eggs, chicken, etc).
I like you❤❤❤ may God bless you,you done well Miss, your explanation make me to watch all videos of you,one question:if you use that morning night you can't moisturizing other lotion I mean acne c cleanser and the lotion it's only your lotion, thank you for the return answer🙏🙏🙏
@@minebloxgaming1 This depends on how your skin responds to Salicylic Acid, the overall formulation, and the severity of your acne. If your skin responds well to it, you should see a reduction in inflammation within a few weeks. However, I also recommend investigating the root causes of your acne, such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors (air & water quality, washing detergent, etc), or your diet (such as consuming too much added sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance; like soy, milk, bread (gluten), eggs, chicken, etc) - otherwise, they will likely come back - even if it may not be that much.
Well, it depends on how sensitive your skin is since it is an exfoliating acid cleanser. Overall, it depends on how well you respond to Salicylic Acid, so there is no way around testing it. Also, it will not clog pores, but always make sure to properly rinse it off from the skin!
Hmm, which product do you have? If it's the cleanser I showed in the video, then no, you need to rinse it off. It's designed to thoroughly wash the face, removing excess oil, dirt, and sweat, as demonstrated in the video :)
Hey! 😊 What are you trying to target with that cleanser? Oily skin, acne, or blackheads? Also, what else do you use? How long have you been using that cleanser? P.S. Sorry if you have already mentioned this in a previous comment, but I'm not able to see past conversations (if we had them) because RUclips has removed the tool that allowed me to do so.
Hey Melissa, im helping my boyfriend find good Products for his Skin and i wanted to ask you, after using the cerave acne control cleanser is it okay to use the control gel right after? When should he use his Niacinamide Serum? Thank you for the Videos, you’re great!! 😊
I wouldn't use them in the same routine as it can become too potent and may lead to sensitivities/irritations. Instead, use a non-SA cleanser when using the gel (or just use either one of them). You can use the Niacinamide serum after the cleanser, but before the gel.
Hey, i've started using this cleanser since yesterday and left my face a little red but only in the zones where i have acne and i used it again this morning and it left my face red and the red area kind of got bigger, is that normal?, i haven't used a skincare product before so idk i'm scared of using it again 😢
Hmm, it could be an initial reaction, but if you experience a lot of redness or even burning and stinging, then I would suggest not using it anymore. Alternatively, consider asking a local pharmacist or doctor for advice, especially if the reaction is severe! I mean, it's likely a reaction to an ingredient in the formulation, potentially even salicylic acid, but it's impossible to tell for sure.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I don't experience burning or stinging it just leaves my face red, my sister also uses the same one and for her seems to be doing well, i think i'll just go to a my doctor to know why, thanks for the answer!
The SA Renewing cleanser works well for me, but the Smoothing Cleanser is drying, or it may be just a feeling not sure. However, this one works better for me; it's actually my favourite CeraVe cleanser now. But again, the frequency plays an essential role; if I use it morning and evening, it still drys out the skin, but that also comes down to other products you may use in your skincare routine, if they are hydrating it shouldn't be an issue. So it's hard to tell. 😉
Hey, I am 25 years old and have acne prone skin, and had adult acne, using Cerave acne control cleaner, cerave am+pm moisturiser, but still got pimple on my chin, what should I do?
I recommend looking into the root causes of your acne, such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors (air & water quality, washing detergent, etc), and especially your diet (such as consuming too much added sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance; like soy, spices, milk, bread (wheat/gluten), eggs, chicken, etc).
Good evening I've a combine skin and I'm also an acne prone.i started using acne control cleancer a week ago and noticed i have more Whiteheads than usual and rough texture. Also my cleancer doesn't foam
Hey! :) Is this the first time you are using a Salicylic Acid-based cleanser? If yes, this can be an initial reaction and should calm down over time - like in a month. However, if it doesn't get any better after that, it's best to stop using it. Also, do you use it in the morning and evening, daily? If yes, I recommend using it only once per day, or once every other day. Do you use any other skincare products? If so, what do you use? Are you using enough water with this cleanser?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet this is my first time using salicylic acid cleanser also I'm not using a moisturizer because I don't know which one will work for me. I'm using beauty of jesoen spf 50
@@horlahb6861 Ok, in that case, you may want to use the SA cleanser less often, like once per day or every other day. When not using the cleanser, you can wash your face with water only or use a non-SA hydrating foaming cleanser instead. Since when have you been using the sunscreen, and do you have a lot of sun exposure?
Hey ive been just using the cleanser for about 3 days now but the bottle says for daily use but ive seen on the internet to use it only 3-4 times, how many times should i use it??
Hi, can we use cerave's sunscreen as well after the cerave's AM moisturizer that contains spf30? or Only moiturizer is enough? I have sensitive acne prone skin
Depends on your personal skin tolerance. If you are new to it, it's probably best to start with using it every other day to see how well your skin tolerates it, especially because you are using the one with benzoyl peroxide. See here: ruclips.net/video/14b8llbF-cs/видео.html
Well, it's a treatment not a cure. It can help to reduce/control your acne. However, as long as you do not know what triggers your acne, it's difficult to cure.
I started using this yesterday night after switching from another brand that I really liked but wasn’t quite doing the job. So far it’s made my acne dramatically worse and caused massive bumps on the side of my face. It has also caused my skin to be much duller and more textured. I don’t know if I should risk it and keep using it or switch back and settle for what I used to have.
Hey. I just tried it too since last two days and my skin has become red and dull too. But that’s a good thing cause salicylic acid increases our skincell turn over. Our skin will go to worse for 2 weeks and it’ll get better
not necessarily; it could also be the opposite. And most often, Salicylic Acid is the issue. But CeraVe SA cleansers are also particularly drying compared to other brands such as The Inkey List or La Roche Posay. So I wonder which one have you used before? And have you used any other SA products before that? 🤔
Hello, if I have comedones on my forehead and whiteheads on my chin, would you recommend me to use this soap? I also use the effaclar serum from la roche posay and the moisturizer from neutrogena
Hey! :) Either choose a Salicylic Acid Cleanser (like CeraVe or The Inkey List) or a Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser (like Panoxyl or Differin) :) I have tried a few Salicylic Acid Cleansers and I prefer The Inkey List or La Roche Posay, not so much CeraVe.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Thanks for answering, I have been using the cerave renewing SA but I am not satisfied, it cleanses my face but I still have texture and comedones so I will try the panoxyl, but it scares me a bit since I use the effaclar serum from la roche posay Do you think the combination will be strong for my skin? My skin is mixed, it's only oily in the T zone
@Frida Cordova If you choose a Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser, use a 4-5% one. A 10% BP cleanser is way too strong. You wouldn't use the BP cleanser and Effaclar serum in the same routine. Use the BP cleanser in the AM and Regular Cleanser + Effaclar Serum in the PM. How bad is your textured skin?
It really depends on your skin tolerance and how often you want to do that combination. My advice would be to use them in separate routines and to use a non-exfoliating acid cleanser when using the gel in the PM. See here: ruclips.net/video/MWhZT3Aa5Ho/видео.htmlsi=weVyh4kg2jPss8zo
Hello :) I have the cerave hydrating facial cleanser and the cerave acne control cleanser, is there a particular order I should use them in or maybe use one more than the other? Thank you!
You can use one in the AM and the other one in the PM or use the Acne Control Cleanser AM and PM and whenever you want to give your skin a break, use the hydrating one instead :)
I do not know what works for melasma, but for acne, you can try the following routine; it helped me reduce it. How to use Panoxyl Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser and Differin Gel for Acne-Prone Skin: ruclips.net/video/nu1Wo9O_6e0/видео.html
Is this the first time you’re using a Salicylic Acid cleanser? How long have you been using it, and do you use it daily? If so, you might be using it too frequently. Using it less often could help with the itching! 😊
I personally find them a bit drying, although it's not too severe! Still, I would likely use a light gel moisturizer or hyaluronic acid serum after cleansing to maintain balance.
This isn't a moisturizer...it's a cleanser. Have a look at the video below: How to use CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum: ruclips.net/video/t3oen72zdZw/видео.html
@@novuss834 I recommend using a non-exfoliating acid cleanser when using this retinol serum. However, you can use CeraVe SA Cleanser in the AM and a regular cleanser in the PM. Have a look at the video that I've linked above.
@@niyan_hamarashid7413 I have the same with Benzoyl Peroxide, and it goes away after 15-30minutes, and it does not bother me. But if you are concerned about it, it may be best to ask a local pharmacy or doctor for more advice.
This really depends on your skin tolerance. You may be able to use them together; however, I generally recommend using a non-exfoliating acid cleanser when using PC BHA to avoid or reduce sensitivities. For example, you could use CeraVe's Acne Control Cleanser in the AM and a different cleanser in the PM when using PC BHA. See here: ruclips.net/video/leaORDqh75A/видео.htmlsi=PjPc5lGw350QlSl9
Hm... no. I mean, it could mean that your skin may react to something in the formulation, or if this is the first time you are using a Salicylic Acid product, that your skin needs a bit of time to get used to it, or that it is a bit too potent for your skin. For how long have you been using that cleanser? How often do you use it during the day and week, and what else do you use?
@@JonathanSanti-p2m How long does the itching last? Do you experience any redness or swelling? If not, you can continue using it. However, if the itching doesn't calm down within a few weeks or months, then I recommend stopping use. Alternatively, if you can still return it, try a different Salicylic Acid cleanser to see if it's the SA or another ingredient causing the issue.
Hmm, you could do that, but if you choose to, I would suggest also using a moisturizer, something like CeraVe's Ultra Light Moisturizing Gel: ruclips.net/video/kMCE4OXLI_I/видео.html Without it, your skin may become a bit dry, which could lead to irritation!
Hmm, I'm not exactly sure what you meant. Are you saying that new breakouts are constantly appearing? Or did you experience breakouts because of the cleanser? How often do you use the cleanser? Also, what other skincare products do you use?
I've been looking for this so much finally found it. I wanna start using these products but I wasn't sure if I shoudl add some. Water to the product and then apply it or just apply it directly to face. Can this be used as night routine? Like before bed, cleanser and then hydrating night creams?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet it's some pimples for my sister is the one with it, is not like big case of acne, she only. Takes from my hydrating cream, olay one she only uses sunscreen not really any other product
@@EriPineda Yes, that's fine. If she has oily skin, she does not really need to use a cream like a heavy moisturizer. She could also just use a hydrating toner, serum, or light moisturizer like a gel.
Yes! :) However, I also recommend investigating the root causes of your acne, such as lack of sleep, stress or mental health issues, environmental factors (air & water quality, washing detergent, etc), or your diet (such as consuming too much added sugar, processed food, fast food, or any food intolerance; like soy, milk, bread (gluten), eggs, chicken, etc).
So no, that is too heavy and will likely cause more acne. So my suggestion is to use the PM moisturiser or just a Hyaluronic Acid serum. And yes, you can use that cleanser.
I just got into washing my face and have no clue what I’m doing I have the same wash as you do. Do I just put it on my face and wipe it off with a lukewarm wet rag?
Well, the video is in real-time I just speeded it up while removing it so you can follow the guide. But yes, you put it on wet skin, massage it over your face for 30 seconds to 1 minute and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Yes, this shouldn't be an issue. However, if sensitivity should occur, keep them separate and/or you may want to use one of them or both less often. So, adjust the frequency.
hello can i use this cleanser everyday? i’ve been using this cleanser for about 2 months now and i still have some bumps and textured skin i’ve also been double cleansing with the cerave oil cleanser
Well, if it works for you, you can continue using it; I only reduce frequency when the skin becomes too irritated. Or generally speaking, having some breaks from time to time is also something I highly recommend.
Well, it depends on where you live, your day-to-day activities, how much time you spend outdoors, how high the UV index is, and if the sun is out and how strong it is, because this CeraVe Cleanser is an Exfoliating Acid Cleanser, which can make the skin more sensitive.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet well i just don't like to use sunscreen, cz i don't spend much time in the sun, just about an hour everyday, nd my skin is a bit sensitive, so now I'm only using it at night, nd I'm happy wity the results, so is it okay if i kept using this cleanser only at night, nd never in mornings?
Yes, that's fine. It's also fine to not use sunscreen if you do not spend a lot of time outdoors. However, if you have a lot of sun exposure for several hours a day, I recommend using sunscreen, as the exfoliating acid cleanser may make the skin more sensitive to the sun. This sensitivity can persist even if you use it only in the evening because it helps shed dead skin cells, which can reduce the skin's natural protection. If you have sensitive skin, consider a mineral sunscreen like the one from Good Molecules.
Hey, I’m 15 years old and have a oily skin type with acne and acne scars. If I apply this acne control cleanser then apply the Cera Ve resurfacing retinol serum with a PM facial moisturizing lotion at the end is that fine?
Hi, I want to know which cleanser is better for acne skin: among Cerave Acne Control Cleanser or Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. I have tried Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser, and I found the Daily Facial Cleanser better for me. I also tried Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, but it wasn’t good. I just want to know if Cerave Acne Control Cleanser would be better than Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser for acne and scars. Also, I need to know if Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser is the same as Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. I also use ordinary nicenamide 10%+zinc 1% serum and it’s the best. Also is it okay to use Kiehl’s ultra facial cream and Garnier 50+ sunscreen with my cleanser and serum. Sorry for my long text Thank you !
Yes, Cetaphil's Daily Facial cleanser is great! Yes, you can use all these products in combination. Hey Melissa, I have a question, If I would like to use this product (CeraVE Acne Control Cleanser) twice a day to wash my face can I also use Paulas Choice 2% BHA Liquid Salicylic Acid Exfoliant? Or will that be to much salicylic acid. or is it ok if I only use the cleanser once a day? Basically I want to use both products but I don't know if it will be bad for me and how much of each etc etc
Hello Ezzy, Technically you can. Practically, it can become very dry over time and then you may need to adjust the routine. My advice is to alternate in the beginning and try to use them together after a while. (that worked well for me) But as a general guide, you can say the more drying products you use in the routine, the more likely it is that you will experience irritation at some point. So you need to rebalance it with another moisturizer. But I think that is not the point 🤪
Hello i have been using that acne control cleanser for one week. I admit that the skin gets glow and smooth however some small pimples come out on my forehead but its not itchy ,redness also occur on my t zone Should i carry on using it or not 🥺🥺

Hey! :) Do you use anything else other than the face wash? You can use this face wash in the AM and/or PM once or twice daily, as mentioned in the video. Salicylic Acid should help to balance oiliness. However, Niacinamide and/or Retinol could help as well like CeraVe's Resurfacing Retinol serum.

Are you doing that daily? If so, reduce the frequency because it may be too much for your skin; therefore, it does that. Ideally, use only 1 of the cleansers you have once per day (the one you like most) and then use a gentle foaming cleanser to alternate. Also, a suitable moisturizer or serum would be ideal. For example, a light Hyaluronic Acid serum (Vichy mineral 89) or G&G Hydration station to follow after may help.

Hi Melissa. New to your channel. I just want to hear your recommendation. What would you suggest using, the CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser or CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser? I have combination skin btw. Thank you!
No, opt for a gentler version. For instance, consider using one of these: ruclips.net/user/shortsqMd1tWxPWLM The Beauty of Joseon cleanser is the most hydrating among these foaming cleansers!
Stop using it for a week and then start again. You may need to start with once per day every other day instead of using it twice per day, daily. If, after that, you are still getting a lot of whiteheads - stop using it. What were your initial skin concerns? So you just use this cleanser or anything else along with it?
Well, it is not good and may cause irritation, so therefore I always like to work with a washcloth while doing it over the sink. If you can use it in the shower, that is even better to remove it properly (no washcloth needed just your hands)
I currently have a decent amount of acne, should I use this to remove it? Or is this just more of a preventative thing? What are your thoughts? I started using it yesterday, and have used it twice so far, and I am pretty sure"purging" has occurred, as a few pimples have popped up. However, my skin usually flares up all the time so I'm not necessarily blaming the product, but I figured I would note it. I am not sure the cause of my acne, whether it be hormonal or because I struggle with touching my face a lot, but I don't feel I have particularly oily skin.
Hey! :) I have tried a few Salicylic Acid Cleansers. I'm not the 'biggest' fan of CeraVe's Salicylic Acid cleanser. I prefer the one from The Inkey List, Minimalist or La Roche Posay. @@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Because I use the foaming daily, I thought the acne would be the same but I do not have super oily skin..it made my skin irritated and I saw more breakouts..purging maybe? It was my fault...TY 😁
Sorry for the late reply, but I did not see your answer. It could be purging, yes, since the skin always needs to adjust to the product, which can take a while, so it can happen if the formulation is different. I often have it because I try so many products.
Does it help with blackheads and is it oil free and good for sensitive skin
Yes. And for blackheads it is best to use an extracting tool or visit an esthetician who can do it for you. Using such a cleanser may help extend the period of the blackheads returning, but you may need to use it frequently to maintain the effect. It also depends on your personal skin sensitivity, so testing it is necessary.
I have acne and have been using this and it’s still not clearing just made bumps smaller

@@minebloxgaming1 Okay, but what are your skin concerns?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet my skin concerns are how long does it take for the acne to go away
@@minebloxgaming1 This depends on how your skin responds to Salicylic Acid, the overall formulation, and the severity of your acne. If your skin responds well to it, you should see a reduction in inflammation within a few weeks. Did it work for you
Hey i am 20 year I received it today but I don’t know how to use ?
How about watching the video? :)
Is this cleanser good for very sensitive skin and is it oil free and won’t clog your pores
Well, it depends on how sensitive your skin is since it is an exfoliating acid cleanser. Overall, it depends on how well you respond to Salicylic Acid, so there is no way around testing it. Also, it will not clog pores, but always make sure to properly rinse it off from the skin!
Thanks you. is it good if i put cerave on my face before go to bed, without washing it?

Thank you for the Videos, you’re great!! 😊
I wouldn't use them in the same routine as it can become too potent and may lead to sensitivities/irritations. Instead, use a non-SA cleanser when using the gel (or just use either one of them). You can use the Niacinamide serum after the cleanser, but before the gel.

Hi, can u please tell me if it's okay if i used this cleanser in morning nd went out without a sunscreen or anything?

Technically you can. Practically, it can become very dry over time and then you may need to adjust the routine. My advice is to alternate in the beginning and try to use them together after a while. So you need to rebalance it with another moisturizer. But I think that is not the point 🤪

Can I use this cleaner if I’m also using differin gel ?
Yes, however, you probably want to use it at a time when not using Differin Gel. Like; use a Gentle Cleanser + Differin Gel in the PM and your Salicylic Acid Cleanser and Sunscreen in the AM.
How many days it will take to show results?
Generally, for Salicylic Acid, it is said to take around 8-12weeks
I have normal/oily skin. I have acne, pore, blemish problem. Do you recommed cerave acne control or cerave foaming cleanser? Does acne control cleanser dry out the skin ? btw, now I have bioderma sensibio gel moussant and avene mousse neyyonte. both of them are okay and doesnt dry out my skin but doesnt contain niacinamide, saliycid, seramide..
Yes, you can use CeraVe Acne Control cleanser; however, I prefer The Inkey List SA cleanser and for a non-exfoliating acid cleanser, yes, CeraVe Foaming or Cetaphil Cleansers are great :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank you :) One more question, I am a white skin male. Is it logitical to use CC cream light to my face? does it look like makeup? CC creams are used for moisturizer + sunscreen + hiding blemishes, pores.. Isn't it beneficial to apply just one product in the morning or are there disadvantages of it ? :))
@@IsmailKasapoglu You can use an all-in-one BB or CC creams, like Missha or It Cosmetic, in the morning; that's fine. Make sure that the shade matches your skin tone, and you should be good to go :)
Thanks, You are pretty ✨
Thank you :)
When I finish using the product I dry my face with a towel then I feel my face burning and is a little red is it normal?
Now, that is not normal, but have you ever used a salicylic acid product before? And are there any other skincare products that you are using? 🤔
Can i use it with la roche posay DUO+ ??
You have to test it as it's individual. If your skin tolerates that combination, yes.
Should they be used daily?
If that's fine for your skin, yes. Otherwise, use it less often.
Can you also use this for pimples?
To wash your face while having pimples? Yes.
Hold on… I didn’t catch how long am I supposed to keep it on my face
just like a normal "regular" cleanser 30-60seconds.

@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet hi should i start using twice a day everyday once i start using it, or introducing the product slowly, like 3 times a week at first?
@@LilyAllison233 It depends on your skin tolerance, what else you may be using, and your skin's needs. You can start with once per day, every other day, and over time adjust the frequency if needed :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet okay thank you so much, I'm using it every night now, I'll be doing that for a week, then I'll start using it twice a day
Can i use this as double cleanser ?
Like use it twice or use it after your oil or balm cleanser?
I need help❗️
What do you think about this face cleanser’s formulation for acne prone skin as the second step in double cleansing?
“Aqua, Niacinamide, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Glycerin, Salicylic Acid, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Jojoba Esters, Pafrum, CI 77007”
What cleanser is it? And since it does not tell anything about the overall formulation and % used, it is impossible to know if it is effective or not 😞
I’ve used this cleanser for the night and the acne foaming cream cleanser for the AM,from Cerave for 2 months now and it’s still purging quite a bit and I get some cystic acne what should I do? I have oily acne prone skin I need Helpp
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet yeah daily, my doctor said so, so you think it’s okay if I use the Cerave foaming face cleanser after showering for the PM and the Cerave acne foaming in AM daily? So I would remove the acne control cleanser but I’ll use the gel one 3x week
@@TwigBigXbox Hmm okay, are there any other products do you currently use? 🤔
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet no bc I’m new to the skincare I just listened to what my doctor said but I don’t think I should’ve
And what about asking him for more advice or telling him about the situation? It would be really interesting to know what he/she thinks! 🙂
AM:
Cleanse face with foaming cleanser (Example CeraVe, La Roche Posay, or Cetaphil)
Use a hydrating toner, serum or moisturizer (Isntree Hyaluronic Acid toner or Vichy Mineral 89 or G&G Hydration Station but could be any other you like, just some examples that worked well for me)
Apply a mineral Sunscreen (if you have sun-exposure)
PM:
Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser or Salicylic Acid Cleanser (you could also alternate, or just use your favourite)
Your favourite Hydrating product

warm water or normal water?
both work, just avoid hot water.
Do I have to moisturizer at night after ?
No, unless you have dry skin.
Thank u soo much ❤️🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦
Hi Melissa. New to your channel. I just want to hear your recommendation. What would you suggest using, the CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser or CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser? I have combination skin btw. Thank you!
Hello :) if I had to choose between these two then I would go with CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser :)
can i use this cleanser with skinoren routine ( 20% azeliac acid ) ?
No, opt for a gentler version. For instance, consider using one of these:
ruclips.net/user/shortsqMd1tWxPWLM
The Beauty of Joseon cleanser is the most hydrating among these foaming cleansers!
This cleanser make my face more whiteheads no idea why?
Is this the first time that you are using a Salicylic Acid Cleanser?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet yes
Stop using it for a week and then start again. You may need to start with once per day every other day instead of using it twice per day, daily. If, after that, you are still getting a lot of whiteheads - stop using it.
What were your initial skin concerns?
So you just use this cleanser or anything else along with it?
What happens if some accidentally stays on your skin?
Well, it is not good and may cause irritation, so therefore I always like to work with a washcloth while doing it over the sink. If you can use it in the shower, that is even better to remove it properly (no washcloth needed just your hands)
Can i use it with CeraVe retinol?
I think the formulation is too drying, so better to use their foaming cleanser.
Hey! :)
I have tried a few Salicylic Acid Cleansers. I'm not the 'biggest' fan of CeraVe's Salicylic Acid cleanser. I prefer the one from The Inkey List, Minimalist or La Roche Posay.

@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Thank you so much for your input!
Hi Melissa. I have a question. Can I use both cerave ance control cleanser and cerave acne control gel at the same time without a moisturizer?
Technically yes, practically, it depends on the frequency. So if you do that daily, it may become too drying. So, therefore, you may need to reduce the frequency or add something hydrating in between. But for that, you need to test it! I suggest using just one of them per day.
Hi Melissa.. take love from Bangladesh ❤️
I just want to know, can I use cerave acne control with ordinary niacinamaid 10%-zinc 1%???btw I have combination acne prone skin and also sensitive 🙁
Please have a look at my other reply. But yes, you can.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet bt can I use cerave acne control with peeling??
And no, Peeling Solution contains 2% BHA and BHA = Salicylic Acid which the acne control gel also includes.

used the cleanser but realised my skin is getting dry..which moisturizer should i use??
how often do you use it? If morning and evening or daily, reduce the frequency, before buying anything else.
Can you use the gel after using the control cleanser right away also before using the control cleanser should your face be dry
Yes, wash the face, pat the skin dry and use the gel. Still, from my experience, it can get very drying if you do that ongoing. So you may need to reduce the frequency or balance it with a moisturizer suitable for your acne-prone skin.
Thx
