    Im not loving the new angles for the video. Don’t get me wrong, the editing is beautiful but it seems to have more of an infomercial feel. I love the more “plain” videos since it makes it seem more personal. The content as always is educational and a delight to watch. Thank you

Why do you need the videos to feel more “personal” and less “infomercial”-y ? Who cares? Are you gonna stop watching her videos because her angles make it less personal? Lol

      @@rachelhoward7889 I didnt think Pamys' comment came off rude at all nor "nitpicky". I totally get where youre coming from though but I think theyre just offering feedback. I dont think it was neccesary to "go off" on them for a mature comment. The comment even mentions it was still an enlightening video. Just because someome says they dont like something doesnt mean theyre displaying hatred. In any line of work feedback is neccessary and its necessary for the provider to accept feedback in order to reflect what works for their audience's experience. I love that Dr Dray is experimenting though! Nothing wrong with it! But I think she's more than capable of taking criticism in her line of work.

      I strongly suggest The Ordinary's Salicylic Anhydrous Solution for dry skin with acne.
      But make sure you get -ANHYDROUS- not the regular one, the regular one is very drying.
      Anhydrous on the other hand is quite oily and pretty good for dry skin, but still has the 2% salicylic acid that is amazing at treating acne.

    Being allergic to propylene glycol, I appreciate when a company like cerave comes out with a “redundant” acne cleanser. Paulas choice seems to be addicted to putting PG in their products, and cerave is one brand I can count on that I won’t find any.

      Ironically, when I was first diagnosed with severe eczema at age 26, pg was in the steroid cream I was prescribed, triamcinalone (sp?). That sent me on quite a journey (2 years) to figure out why my itching couldn’t be quelled by steroid creams, and only kept getting worse.

    The acne gel is the best spot treatment I've ever used! Clears up active pimples overnight and gets even better by the 2nd day. Also works lovely as a once or twice a week chemical exfoliator! I hope it's doing well on the market so it will stick around because it's truly awesome to have all those nice actives, and considering how much you'd pay for Paula's Choice, etc. that have the exact same actives, $17 really isn't that bad, and you really don't need that much to feel it working. Love it!

    A little skincare tip when using foaming cleanser, use a small amount, apply some water to it and work it up into a foam before washing the face with the foam. Many people have a bad habit of over using their skin cleanser and applying the paste directly onto the face and rubbing it until it foam. You will increase your chance of getting outbreaks if your cleansing method is incorrect. Lastly wash off your cleanser throughly so as not to leave residue behind and if possible choose a cleanser that is sls free.

    • @bredee424
      @bredee424 2 года назад +11

      Hello,
      This is incorrect. Applying the cleanser without foaming it up is completly fine and in many cases it is reccomended. Something to have in mind is if the cleanser is to be foamed or if it is foaming. A gel can often be applied directly to skin.

    There are two ways to treat acne breakout. Using skincare to eliminate bacteria and calm skin is one way which almost everyone are doing with varying degree of success. Another method is to address the problem at its root by treating the hormonal level change which can be done by using medications or simply getting enough rest and managing stress level so as not to trigger out acne outbreak.
    I found out that solely relying on skincare is not a foolproof way to clear skin. Taking some steps to made a bit of changes in lifestyle, diet and mood management work hand in hand together with skincare to bring about clear glowing skin over time.

      Maybe make sure to apply a hyaluronic acid cream to a damp face, straight after cleansing (to hold in hydration). When it's absorbed, then apply your oil free moisturiser. I use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream as my hyaluronic acid cream. I have only skin and I'm OK using the one for dry skin. You are correct, the Cerave SA Cream is a much better value; however, it is much thicker and so more difficult to place in a multi step routine. It is the proper pH and a BHA (which is oil soluble) so technically should go on your skin first after cleansing (unless you're using a lower pH vitamin C serum), but it might cause pilling or be too thick and rich for any toners/serums/lotions you'd want to put on after. But if you like an all in one-type product, this would be great (that's why it's primarily marketed for use on the body).
      The Cerave SA Lotion is not the proper pH and so not nearly as effective as the cream. We are unsure of the acne gel's pH as of yet, but it does seem as if it's the proper pH for exfoliation. So it really comes down to which delivery system you prefer.
