Removing your Rear Bumper Diffuser (Without Breaking Anything)

- This is our DIY for removing your rear bumper diffuser. A lot of people are scared to take this job on, but it should take you less than 30 minutes including putting your car on jack stands. It is really easy to do. It was done on our 2013 A6 Prestige with the S-line rear bumper, but it should be extremely similar for all C7 models. As always, volume up so you can hear me guide you through the DIY.
You will only need some pry tools, a T15 & T20 Torx bit, and a light. That's it.
This should allow you to replace your rear diffuser with an aftermarket diffuser, or it will come in handy if you are installing a new exhaust. We had to remove it in order to install our OEM S6 diffuser to fit our quad tips on our new Cende Exhaust, and we had to have it off to run the wiring harnesses to each valvetronic muffler.

All your video’s are always so helpful, keep up the great work, btw: someone needs a quick Jack ASAP
I'm taking donations 😉
Lol thank you for the support!
How much was your cende exhaust system, I’m looking to see if they sell the rear muffler only
I was sponsored. They are on holiday right now (Chinese new year) but when they get back my Cende rep is sending me a price list.
thnaks for the video bro. I have same car with black oem difusor. I just bought s-line diffuser (which you removed from your car :D ). and I will make installation myself. thanks for the helpful video!
Tabs can be welded back together, by heat small metal brace across the two broken plastic tabs. It works, i've done it
Great work my friend, used this for my TTS mk3, thank you!
Nice!
Nice video, just got an sline diffuser going to give it a go this weekend
Do you have a Non S-Line bumper? If so it won't be this easy. S-Line diffusers don't fit into non S-Line bumpers without modification. Good luck!
Great channel.
Was helpful.Thanks
Hi! Ive been watching several of your videos very helpful info and i thank you for that. I want to know if you ever removed rear seats on c7 platfrom because im having issue with removing my rear back rests where they dont want to pull out from the side pins almost feels like something is locking them. Is there a special angle you need the best rest to be positioned so slide them out from the pins? Thanks for your time !
Thanks for vid.
Thanks buddy, u r awesome.
😁😁
Thanks for the video :)
Advisd, keep ur oem insteed
It looks better
unfortunately my oem diffuser won't work with my new exhaust. Gotta have something to fit the dual tips on each side.
Awesome video bro trying to figure out what carbon fiber diffuser fits my 2014 a7 on the guy that talk to you with the red one at Black forest
Hey man! Check out Canadian Auto Performance 👍🏻
Hello!
Good video! Just one quick question! How about an diffuser RS style on an audi c7.5 avant with S Line bumper and trailer connector installed?
What modification is required to install it and if it possible? Thanks!
I'm not sure. You would have to pay around with that.
Excellent tutorial! I’m assuming it is the same removal process for an A7 diffuser? Same tab location? Thanks man!
It will be extremely similar 👍🏼
nice car
do you have any ideea if an S7 diffuser will fit 2014 A7 prestige package?
thank you!
As long as the S7 is a C7 Gen & not a C7.5 it will fit. 👍🏻
@@AudiC7Owners thx
How did it go with the fitment? I know Wurth has got a two component plastic glue that is extremely strong. Maybe it's enough to glue the broken parts together.
Fitment would have been great if the tabs weren't broken lol
@@AudiC7Owners That's what I meant. Maybe you can glue them together again? They were't missing?
Nope just cracked. I'm going to try to work on them
Hey, having a nightmare with a a6 3.0bitdi s line, all diffusers I find say “not for s-line” all only for SE version? Any idea why??
Usually it is the opposite. There are tons of S-Line diffusers abs very few for non S-Line. Where are you looking?
Hello quick question. I'm trying to buy CF rear diffusers for my A6 but there is nothing available online and if there is. Theyre like 1k or more. But here youte using an S6 diffuser for a6 s line. Does that mean I can use an S6 diffuser for my car as well? And does that apply to front lips? Thank u
It all depends. Do you have the regular front/rear bumpers? Or do you have S-Line bumpers?
@@AudiC7Owners S Line Bumpers. And does it need to be the same year for the car? I have a 2015 A6 prestige quattro
Yes. The S6 diffuser should fit.
@@AudiC7Owners Does it need to be the same year? Or as long as its S- Line? Sorry for the questions.
No worries. But it had the be the same generation. So a C7 lip goes to a C7. C7.5 lips only fit on C7.5's
Hello, great job.. could you suggest a sporty diffuser to fit after removing the OEM S-line on A6 avant
Any chance you know if removing the diffuser is enough to get to the rear center parking sensor? I dont want remove the whole bumper if it isnt necessary
I'm not sure off the top of my head
Do you have any idea or helpful tips on how to replace the sideskirts? I have s6 skirts I'm about to put on my a6
Aftermarket skirts or oem?
@@AudiC7Owners OEM A6 sideskirts/rocker panels to OEM S6
Pretty sure they are the same aren't they?
@@AudiC7Owners Mounting wise, yes they're the same. Aesthetically, they A6 skirts are flush and kinda roll under the car, but the S6 skirts flare out.
But I was able to figure out the uninstall and install process. Thanks.
Hi,
I have an Rs6 c7 and want to put Akrapovic tips on.
My question is,
Will my diffuser come off like yours.
Or willing have to take the bumper off?
Cheers Rob.
I don't have any direct experience with your car, but I'm almost positive it can.
The challenge is to put it back. I did not change the diffuser but taking it out and spray it black. When putting it back, the center taps refused to get back, leaving an ugly gap, not very noticeable to others but surely obvious for the owner. I end up removing the bumper and pulling the tap from inside😂
Gotta use some force to get them to connect securely.
Hey quick question I changed mine maybe a couple months ago and when I took it off some long black sensor was attached to the original but I see yours doesn’t have it do you know what it could be
Yep, that is your "kick to open" sensor for your trunk more than likely. Some A6's came with this option that allows you to basically tap the bottom of your diffuser with your foot to open the trunk.
@@AudiC7Owners ohh Cool thanks I’ll give it a look when I get home
I'm not sure how well it will work with an aftermarket diffuser
can I mount on an audi a6 without s line an s line diffuser??
Please help me
No. An S line diffuser will not mount up to a non s line bumper
@@AudiC7Owners I thought there would be a late response, thank you very much!
There are a lot of trucks hidden under the workbench?^^*
Nice hat
I live in the area blackbeard buried his treasure, allegedly. Also near where they found the queen Anne's revenge
I really wish you had got the diffuser with the brake light and showed how to install that. Cause i cant find that video anywhere , much less instructions for it.
I'll make you a deal... You buy me one & I'll do a diy 😉
can send link for diffuser
Why didn’t you remove the broken tabs?
Where'd you get your s6 diffuser from?
I bought it used from someone on Instagram 👍🏻
Are you selling your old s line diffuser ? :)
Nope! Lol
can.we instal.exausts in.Y style for the Audi A6 C7 ?
You mean like having a single pipe that splits into to rear mufflers?
How many miles do you have on your car?
109k 👍🏻
Awesome man, I’m looking into buying a 2013 Audi A7. Thanks for the response. 👍🏾
You will love it!
care to sell your factory diffuser?
Right now I haven't thought about it. But message me on Instagram and we can talk
