My favorite Royce's album is Book of Ryan. My least favorite is Independant's Day. My favorite Eminem's album is The Marshall Mathers LP. My least favorite is Revival. Voilà. Great interview by the way. Royce is one of my favorites.
@@skyj2172 The Eminem Show is my second favorite of Em. What a classic. Near perfect. The only songs I don't like on that are Drugs and Superman. I understand for Encore. It's certainly one of his worst but it got some good moments especially in the first part of the album.

It's always a toss up for me between MMLP1 and The Eminem Show. On any given day I could say either one is my favorite. For different nostalgic reasons for each one.
For me the list is really unique I think lol: 1. Relapse 2. Eminem Show 3. Recovery 4. Kamikaze 5. Encore 6. MMLP 7. SSLP 8. MTBMB 9. Revival 10. MMLP2 Basically I like both the new and old em. But I'm mostly bumping the 09-10 Era Eminem.

But "Music To Be Murdered By" is what both albums tried/wanted to be, neither album was, & was the best of both combined w/o flaws either had. Kept his tried n true strengths AND fixed perceived weaknesses his work has esp recent years. MTBMB is a legit complete n cohesive album, with bops, bangers, conscious rap, bars, w/ good production, hooks, n features.. n just well crafted SONGS. & Was the best of all the diff Em/Marshall/Shady lanes, styles, bags, etc that made him a great, all combined into one great ass project. & His pen is still as good as it always is n ever was. To drop this in his mid 40s with nothing left to prove deserves major props, & should get new generation hiphop fans/artists respect, n cement his all-time great n legendary artist legacy. I grew up in Roxbury MA and it was the same. Puerto Ricans used the word. Dominicans, Cape Verdeans. I think black Americans viewed you all just like ourselves. I mean every hood probably has their own way they deal with the word. I know NY had this on a greater scale though because your city is bigger but we definitely had different races of people in my hood in Roxbury who used the word. To be honest I think generationally speaking black Americans dealing with the stuff they've dealt for 100's of years in America we were cool with any people who would deal with us like we were normal people. Of course we also most likely had discrimination aimed at us from the same establishment and that is how the establishment sees you anyway.

But "Music To Be Murdered By" is what both albums tried/wanted to be, neither album was, & was the best of both combined w/o flaws either had. Kept his tried n true strengths AND fixed perceived weaknesses his work has esp recent years.
MTBMB is a legit complete n cohesive album, with bops, bangers, conscious rap, bars, w/ good production, hooks, n features.. n just well crafted SONGS. & Was the best of all the diff Em/Marshall/Shady lanes, styles, bags, etc that made him a great, all combined into one great ass project. & His pen is still as good as it always is n ever was. To drop this in his mid 40s with nothing left to prove deserves major props, & should get new generation hiphop fans/artists respect, n cement his all-time great n legendary artist legacy. On top of that it’s not about being a fan of one more than the other, if anything I like their music equally. If you want to know though I’ve done business with Slumerican, yelawolf , shady records and interscope etc. Its about knowing a little more than the average watcher. Yela and Royce aren’t best friends, they don’t communicate like that. The incident Royce is talking about didn’t even directly have to do with yela. It was a third party. My point is that you can’t mention he didn’t reach out then mention he did but you ignored him. I grew up in Roxbury MA and it was the same. Puerto Ricans used the word. Dominicans, Cape Verdeans. I think black Americans viewed you all just like ourselves. I mean every hood probably has their own way they deal with the word.
I know NY had this on a greater scale though because your city is bigger but we definitely had different races of people in my hood in Roxbury who used the word. To be honest I think generationally speaking black Americans dealing with the stuff they've dealt for 100's of years in America we were cool with any people who would deal with us like we were normal people. Of course we also most likely had discrimination aimed at us from the same establishment and that is how the establishment sees you anyway.
