    Something I’ve noticed that doesn’t get enough recognition in this song is the ending riffs. The chaotic djenty riffs at the end are constructed in such a way that legitimately felt like If dementia could be a noise/sound....That was it. Like a haunting end to your life but that immediate relief when it’s all said and done with the ambient outdoor was a beautiful touch. That was artistically brilliant and captivated so much emotion.

    • @ClarkAd
      @ClarkAd 8 месяцев назад

      The ending is really something else. I’ve always thought about the slow soft ending section after the end riffs as like when a person with dementia has everything come back right before they pass. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but regardless of the actual meaning the ending is really something beautiful. And I’m 3 years late lol

    she lived in an old farming town of maybe 500-800 people, we would see her almost every weekend. as she got older we actually saw her less and less. one day she had an accident that left her in a nursing home. and time spent with her only became less and less from then on. it was painful seeing her go through memory loss, and sleeping all day. she became less and less coherent, and unable to take care of herself. this song hits so close to home that it leaves me speechless. i love you oma, i can still see you smiling at us through the pines, always watching over us. rest easy.

    I have lost my Mother, Grandmother, Grandfather and my uncle across the last 12 months. I've never heard of this band before, but this song brought tears to my eyes, it's beautiful and emotional. I just want to say thank you for introducing me to this, even if I am now crying.

    This song legit made me cry the first time I heard it. It hit me so hard. I can actually feel it hitting again.
    I lost my grandfather to alzheimers, got to the point he had no idea who I was. For anyone currently going through that I'm there for you.

    It's a very emotional song, but it also has lyrics that make you think. In the end, he falls into a daze.

    One thing I love about the video specifically is that in some shots things around the house disappear earlier in the video. Like pictures and other things. It's so fucking good dude, so good. The music, the point of the video, the cinematography. *chefs kiss*

    My grandmother died late 2019, she was in a home for the last 6 months or so and had deteriorated really badly with dementia. At the end she was almost completely gone. This track hits pretty hard.

    I also lost my grandmother to dementia this year and god damn, this song is a masterpiece. Conveys so many emotions so perfectly and is an incredible balance between soft/melodic and heavy/aggressive without either taking away from the other. Absolutely beautiful.
