Spiritbox - Constance - REACTION/REVIEW

- This is my reaction to my first time hearing Spiritbox's new single 'Constance' which is out now via Rise Records/Pale Chord! I am pretty sure the singles from this year are all off of their full length that they said they would be dropping in 2021, that is about all I know about that, though! What an amazing reaction!! Thank you for this, and thank you for being on our Patreon!
Whoa, thank you so much!! Thank you for sharing your experience and putting it into this song, I know so many of us can relate.
Thanks for doing so much for us on Patreon too, yours is the best Patreon I’ve been a part of!
We All cried just so you know, and I thank you...
Spiritbox is an amazing band not only musically wise. But also a lot on marketingwise. Some bands/labels see reaction channels as a burden because it’s kinda free airplay. But bands like spiritbox encouraging this and even reacting to this let us see that reaction channels can provide a shitload of new fans. Fans that will join their patreons. Buying merch. Digital copies. Etc. All to provide the band a good income. Especially this year shows how important this is. Spiritbox is a great example of this. Look what they deliver us. I want to bow humbly and deeply and want to quote something from the great mandalorian: this is the way.
@@bartbakker742 Oceans Ate Alaska this with their last single too. It's good to see!
Approachable af
Twitter brought us here... 🦋🦋🦋
Whoaaaa hey now, thank you guys 🖤🖤🖤
they were like “oh y’all want new music? OK NOW YOU CRY”
Literally hahaha
Rachelle this is why you’re such a good content creator. You’re so real and you add so much to your reviews that I learn something. Thanks for being awesome
Thank you so much!! 😭
Coming from one of my favorite content creators, that means even more!!
“I don’t know to headbang or cry dude”
- Nik Nocturnal
Wise words.
“Is this gonna be a video that makes me cry?” No it’s a video that’s gonna make you cry *alot*
oh boy.. it only took like 30 seconds for you to break and seeing your eyes turn red. this song is a masterpiece. absolutely incredible
I knew right away. Also, the lady in the video reminded me of my grandma with that shot of her smiling in the beginning and from that point on I was holding back tears
Never. And I really mean never hold back your tears when listening to something that hits you. It’s ok to cry. It’s something we all need to feel human. And it makes the whole experience of that specific song a lot better.
Lmao I’m on their Patreon as well, and during the premier there was I wanna say 18 of us in a call. We all muted for the song, and then unmuted when it was over. Needless to say, many tears were shed among the discord during the premier lol. It’s crazy how much Spiritbox connects to their fans, they’re more than a band to us at this point.
I know! I'm in the discord lol. It sucks not to join in on those but this is why!
@@RachelleReacts ya it was a really cool experience! That discord has one of the sickest communities
@@mattjones6450 It truly does! such an awesome group of people. Also that is the best patreon by far. Boxmas!!!!
This one hit me pretty hard - I watched alzheimer's and parkinson's take my dad, so seeing the emotions of the family in the video was spot on. I didn't realize, on first viewing, that things were disappearing from the walls/rooms. But that was a nice touch. Amazing song, just beautiful and powerful. Great reaction + review.
I’m so sorry to hear about your dad, I hope you’re healing and that you can feel him however that looks for you. Thanks so much for watching and sharing!
@@RachelleReacts thanks, things like this help ^.^ take care.
I did the same damn thing. Watched it for the first time at 4am because there is nothing like a good early morning cry.
I thought I was about to pop off at 4 AM but instead I cried and I am here for it
I just discovered Spiritbox yesterday, and am absolutely hooked!
Discovering them has been one of the best things that has happened with me in 2020
oh my god I started crying from how good this song was and then you started tearing up so i started crying more
Oh man, I contributed to the water works!! 😭
This song broke me.
Absolutely beautiful music.
Agreed on both fronts 🖤
This is by far the most emotionally powerful song I feel I've ever heard. I've been fortunate and not lost a family member to alzheimers/dementia so its not a song I personally relate too but it absolutely makes me feel more than songs I do relate too.
Absolutely beautiful
A beautiful yet sad song and video. Spiritbox always delivers.
All facts here!
One of my absolute favorite songs of the year. Incredible.
This hits real hard. What a song... what a video. Damnit I love this band.
Also, great reaction. I agree with your analysis 100%.
Right? It hit me straight in the stomach while I was reacting! Love this band too.
Thank you!! :)
I find this track hard to get through, for all the right reasons. I really can't think of ever hearing a track as emotional as this, simply stunning
This is how the music should be. It's a masterpiece. The whole experience, there is something about spiritbox and the guys who makes their videos (blessed be also), this is magical and damn sad cause relatable to most of us.
Every single song they release is incredible. I’ve been a huge fan since the very beginning. I can never get enough
Those heavy riffs and her angelic voice together.....
Does not get old! Especially the breakdown with her vocalizing and the riff getting heavier. The emotion is insane
I just wanted to hug you instantly 🖤 I think we all cried. The ending ripped me apart.. soo heavy
"Is this going to be a video that makes me cry...?"
Yes... yes it is..
Having lost two grandfathers to Alzheimers this hit hard💔and is definitely there heaviest,Being a Patreon myself , getting to hear the behind the scenes of this track I agree they made a wise decision to scrap the unclean section.Even more powerful and beautiful without it ❤️🤘🏾
I am so sorry for the loss of your grandfathers
Love this! I agree, Courtney's vocals were amazing and the music and video were written and produced PERFECTLY to portray the emotion... The outro made me tear up on the first listen. I appreciate this band and their writing SO much and I am confident that their future will be amazing!
Absolutely agree! Such a journey with SB
Pretty darn close to perfection. What amazing music must await us. Thank you Spiritbox.
Beautifull song wow
Rachalle the most beatiful react for this song, I've cried with you. Hugs from Brazil!!!!
Thank you so much!! Hugs!
I don't know why but Rachel crying brought me to tears aswell. Also saw your comment on Metalbirbs channel and got that fuzzy warm feeling of a Metal RUclips Family. So glad people like you exist!
This is such a wholesome comment. I appreciate you!!
I love spiritbox
They continue to prove how wide their talent is time and time again.
Heavy music is about so much more than rage. Heavy music is about experiencing life at its most intense and passionate. I felt every emotion while I listened to this song and I could not imagine that coming from any other genre. Bravo Spiritbox!
I completely agree about the perfection of the song. The emotion is captured very well. Love it.
This has got to be my song of the year!
This got us all like this, the best thing a band can do is deliver emotion. Also I just subscribed to your channel, love the content
Truly! I couldn't agree more. Thank you so much for the sub :)
Tissuebox.
It ain't heavy, but it hit hard...too hard
Tissuebox he said hahaha
Excellent reaction! Big emotion.. 🤘🏻
This was my introduction into SPIRITBOX and it wrecked me. Like, woke me up at 2 in the morning to rehear and relive it. Anyway, this was a great reaction -- Glad I found the song and this channel.
Song definitely hits emotional hard as my grandmother suffered from dementia & became so violent we had no choice but to put her in a nursing home. She was amazing, Miss her dearly! 🎸⚡⚡⚡
I’ve watched a lot of reaction channels on RUclips, it’s great to see someone who’s genuine. Soooooo many people fake the shit out of their reactions and go over the top and spend more time head banging and making loud noises and don’t pay attention to the actual music on their first reaction. Good job, that was awesome 👏
Thank you very much!! ☺️
i've been crying all afternoon watching my favorite reaction channels cover this song. its so amazing
🖤
It's crazy, I've never experienced anything like what the song is conveying, but it still made my cry. It really is an amazing contrast to what Holy Roller is, and displays just how versatile and talented they are. Spiritbox is definitely a new favorite band of mine.
I am a huge fan of Spiritbox, and I have heard this track hundreds of times, but I have been going through everyone's reaction videos... not even sure why, but here I am. Glad I found your channel as well. Subbed and look forward to watching more. Your basement looks like my Dream mancave lol
Thank you so much for the sub!! Appreciate you!
@@RachelleReacts Hope you had a great Holiday!!!! \m/
I'm not crying..the tears in YOUR eyes makes it look like I am...
Mhmmmm SURE!
Heavy in all the ways I wasn't expecting. Felt this song in my gut. Heart wrenching. Great analysis!
Definitely felt that too. Thank you!
Virtual hug bro. Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. It’s good to know that this song made other people feel as emotional as I did. One love!
Thank you so much! I am seeing how much SB really brought everyone together on an emotional level today. I really like what they just did
This is what music is supposed to do. A lot of people would've pulled such a real, raw reaction. Thank you for uploading it 💕🤘
Thank you! It definitely is such an emotional and beautiful piece of music. Song of the year for me!
1st awesome reaction
Thank you for your reaction Rachelle.
I agree with you. Spiritbox is the best. They can do no wrong musically.
Thank you for watching and absolutely right on that last part!!

Great band suggestion! Any song in the above list is great! Dust to Dust from the suggested concert vid is one of my fave; great groove! Give The Warning a try - they're amazing and an underrated talent. 👌👍🤘✊
I just found your channel and it's awesome. I like how honest and real you are. Keep it up. You'll be at 10k before you know it.
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate the kind words!!!
This is a masterpiece, man, and it hits close to home. RIP granny 🙏
Absolutely agree and I am sorry for your loss
This was a great reaction. I lost my grandmother too so this hit me like a brick. This was also my introduction to the band, so I did go down that rabbit hole and explored all their videos.
I am so sorry for the loss of your grandmother 🖤
Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoyed the Spiritbox rabbit hole, they’re so incredible
@@RachelleReacts oh I am FAN. I love when a band comes out of nowhere for me and shakes me up. Also, very sorry for the loss of your grandmother as well. Such a very hard thing. Thanks for your video it was great
I lost a grandma to alzheimer a long time ago and this brought back old feeling 😪 what a great song/video. Amazing reaction! Keep up the great work!👍
I'm so sorry for the loss of your grandma
Invinsible Ninjas cuts some Onions... The last song i lsten to,was Holy Roller and now i listen to this.. i´am Blown Away
This song is perfect and I agree with all of your comments about there being no unclean vocals. This song one of my favorites from them too. Great reaction as always :)
Thank you!! And thanks for always tuning in!
New to your channel but not my last. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Great reaction and you seem so genuine which is refreshing
Thank you so much! I really appreciate this🖤
I cry every time i hear this song now.
Not ashamed I cry every time
Beautiful and emotional song! Spiritbox never disappoints! :)
Very articulated and amazing review! This song has been on repeat since the release and it's beautiful in every sense of the word. Much like everyone else, it struck an emotional chord and I feel inspired to contact loved ones more often.
PS. You're the first person I've seen wear that design from the collaboration collection! This made my day ❤
Thank you so much!! It has been on repeat for me too. I think this is my song of the year, it hit me like a ton of bricks and I love it.
I’m glad you recognized it, I love this shirt!!
Geezus, that was fucking epic. Sorry for the language, but good god this song/video caught me off-guard. Agree with you 100% about Courtney's vocals matching the music. Her range & the band's sound are so versatile, I've stopped trying to guess what each new song will sound like, because I'm often wrong. I tend to watch RUclipsr reactions after I watch the video myself, but for a band like this, I enjoy sharing the experience with a channel like yours. Props to Courtney & the bois in Spiritbox, and great reaction as always!
I wasn't expecting that when I started the video haha. I absolutely love it though, definitely agree with you as well! Thanks so much for tuning in, appreciate you!!
@@RachelleReacts Right on, look forward to each new upload. Even though I don't comment a lot, I do press like on each one I see, lol! Appreciate you as well, love from Australia!
@@grantwhite4201 Even if you don't comment much, that still means just as much to me!! I appreciate the support!!
Great song 🤘
When I saw they were dropping another song, I wasn't sure what to expect after Holy Roller... part of me hoped for more heavy and some screams, so this quite took me by surprise. I loved it, such beautiful and haunting melodies and that (what sounded like a) instrumental breakdown at the end, really nicely complemented by the music video. Spiritbox are just on another level.
Definitely agree with this!
Holy Roller was created by the band just wanting to have fun and yeah it blew up as a favourite during their first live shows. This track shows more of their talent imo
I absolutely loved this song, they always deliver. This song especially made me feel the same vibe with The Caretaker. It also reminded me of my grandpa, he is going to be operated this Monday, I’m really hoping everything goes well, I need to see him again...
Sending all of the good vibes your way, I hope everything goes well on Monday 🖤
@@RachelleReacts thank you! Forgot to say great reaction, keep them coming!!
It’s amazing when a band can truly suprise their fans in what kind of song they’re going to be dropping. You never really know what to expect with Spiritbox and that’s one of the reasons why I love them. This song is a masterpiece, just like everything else they put out
Facts!
This song/video had me choking back tears by the first chorus. We really don't deserve a band this good. Great reaction, as always.
Me too! This is incredible. I’ve had it on repeat since
Thank you!!
you are doing one of the best reaction videos, not a single cringe moment. thanks!
Thank you!!
I came here because Im surfing anything spiritbox, because I used to listen to Courtney when she was with IWABO and now Im finding the new spiritbox stuff memsmerizing... and after watching you, Wow, what a gorgeous, emotional person you are! You reacted the same way I did with the song, but it was waterworks for me, it cut me even deeper! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much, that is very sweet! 🖤
Great reaction. Very emotional and beautiful song. Spiritbox never fails. New subscriber here. Keep up the great reactions.
Thank you so much, I do appreciate it!
And absolutely, Spiritbox is sweet!

What a tearjerker! Great song, great reaction!
Big time tear jerker and thank you!
just stumbled on your channel.. great react
Thank you!
The lead singer of spritbox is so beautiful
You’re the third reviewer I watch review this song today and I cried each time. I usually listen to a song and it affects me on the first listen, but that’s it. It happens very rarely due to the type of music I listen to. But this song tho... My grand-mother is living something similar, not at the same extent, but I can still relate since I love her very much and it hits really hard. It takes me back to when I tried to go in her hospital room when she was really sick and placed in an artificial coma, I just couldn’t see her that way. She’s never been the same since and hopefully it will never reach that point.
I’m sorry you went through that! It’s very scary. 🖤
@@RachelleReacts Thanks for the kind words I appreciate it. It is indeed.
You're so sweet:) great song
Thank you!! :)
This song hit hard. Before my grandpa died he had severe dementia and towards the end did not know who any of his family were. It really affected my mum watching her dad go through that. Such a beautiful and emotional song.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your grandpa and what your family had to go through. I hope you’re all healing 🖤
Thanks for sharing. Spiritbox is truly a gift. Can't see myself listening to this regularly (don't really want to cry in class haha) but if I want to get decimated emotionally it is just perfect. You touched on how Courtney is like sponge for the vibe of whatever music she's adding too, I think Spiritbox as a whole explore some interesting musical directions. Every member is shining in this track and yes it's a testament that uncleans aren't required to bring the heaviness when real-life horror themes are concerned.
Wow. "uncleans aren't required to bring the heaviness when real-life horror themes are concerned." This hit me. Thanks for your insight, love reading comments like this!
@@RachelleReacts You're welcome. Man i needed this emotional release after the last week, I have been binging reactions to the track since last night haha. Help
This song hits me hard. I lost both of my grandfather's with similar circumstances of dementia and Parkinson's.
At 4:07 you see a picture of a nurse the old lady is holding. This is a picture of the real Constance who's 88th birthday was Dec 4th the day this video was released. She is living in a long term care home and battling dementia in real life.
Not one of my favorites from them but still amazing. There last few songs have been some of the best songs I've ever heard. And i like when you get emotional in videos. It just shows how much music can have an impact on us
The album is going to be a game changer
@@RachelleReacts Definitely
This shit made my cry like such a little girl.

Yeah man this song made me cry for sure, very relatable. Beautiful song though.
Getting everybody right in the feels, I think we all needed this
@@RachelleReacts yeah, I'm watching this right before I go to work as well, my girlfriend just lost her mom no more than a couple weeks ago and man things have been hard, I think I want her to see this video, I mean I know she's going to cry but, you know that weird feeling when other people have been through the same pain you have where it makes you feel not so alone; proof that everyone has been there at some point, I don't know, I think it helps.
@@DarkestofTimes I'm really sorry to hear about your loss! Give your girlfriend a hug for me. Loss is so unbelievably heavy :( I hope this song is able to help the both of you.
@@RachelleReacts Thank you, I will.
2020 has sucked so much but at least we had so much good music come out
This song is very impactful both lyrically and musically. Also, at chorus sections I've experienced vibes that has strongly correlated with Loathe last record, which makes it even more exciting to listen to.
Ooooooh, I love that Loathe record! I was actually just thinking about how sweet it would be if Courtney covered "Is It Really You?" or even did a version with them
@@RachelleReacts There could be a crossover one day, who knows. The metal community is super united these days. The amount of uniquely talented people out there is overwhelming.
