That caldo looks so nice and hearty! My mother-in-law used to say, "este caldo levanta hasta los muertos" (this soup will raise the dead) 🤣 I hope you feel better soon.

I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much I appreciate your videos. I'm blind. Not 100%, I can see light and shadows, but I will never be able to read a recipe again. Cooking is one of my passions. Since going blind, following recipes has been very difficult. I have technology that will read recipes to me, but the computer voice lacks any sort of emotion and it usually goes way too fast. Your beautiful voice and calm laid-back attitude towards cooking allows me to see the steps and processes in my mind as I go through the video. I can't begin to tell you how much that means to me. Thank you so very very much :-)

    •  5 лет назад +70

Thank you so much. I absolutely love that you are able to use my videos to continue your passion for cooking. I sometimes get comments about how I am too slow or talk too much. Well you just took away any doubt I had about the way I do voice over and edit my videos. I will be sure to stay very detailed in my voice overs and keep you and many others in mind when I explain things. I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your story and kind words. Many thanks and best wishes! 😊

My neighbor that used to live in near me is from Puerto Rico and she taught me how to make her soup. It is so good, it's almost like yours with the Cabbage, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion and then they add bell pepper and the corn but instead of chicken she would add ham. Yours looks very good.

This made me very homesick for my mom and her caldo. The way she prepared her veggies may not have been quite as chunky, but everything else was the same, even down to the spoonfuls of rice and the lime. I may have to give this a try and see how it comes out. Thank you so much for sharing even though you're not feeling your best. Hope you and your family get to feeling better very soon!

“CALDO DE POLLO”.... you keep on Gochujang Mama. Always a blessing you are

It is below zero with horrible wind chills cold here and I am not feeling well. That looks perfect!! I have everything except the squash. I will have to start keeping some on hand. Thanks for the recipe.

I did make this but I had to substitute napa cabbage for regular green cabbage. I did not have the squash but it was still very nice. It will be one of my go to soups in bad weather. I made enough to have a bowl of soup for lunch for 4 days.

    we just ate this. delicioso!
on a funny side note, I(the husband) do all the cooking in our house as I get off work much earlier than my wife....I was just starting the chopping when she walked in... I had the video playing on my tablet, and before she came around the corner she said " I hear mamas voice, It's gonna be a good night!"
