I have also attempted some difficult dishes I never thought I would try because of Jamie! The one that realky stands out is the Pumpkin Milkbar Cake. Beef Wellington is on my list.....it really didn't look that complicated!
Ok, I’m outing myself as a clueless viewer; I pretty much only watch you on RUclips. So I’m picking up all of the nuances slowly… mostly through context. In the introductions to your videos, I see your address in case I want to “send (you) something.” I don’t have a clue as to what I’m supposed to send…? I remember seeing a Martha Stewart inspired elf on the shelf, but I can’t believe that anyone would want more than one of those…? Am I supposed to be motivated to send cash? THAT just doesn’t sound like you… And I think that Patreon is the receptacle for that, anyway…or do I have this all wrong? Please believe that my question is 100% sincere… I’m kind of afraid of snarky replies from people who are NOT you. I have endlessly enjoyed your posts… I have no idea how I ever happened to find you years ago… I guess I have to thank the algorithms that exist for RUclips‘s sake…? My own copies of both volumes of Julia‘s classic books were well-worn and much loved BEFORE my life afforded me the time to discover the more fun parts of the Internet. (I had worked for years as a systems engineer for IBM, so there wasn’t a whole lot of “fun“ while we were attempting to get the first desktop computers out the door. Unfortunately, spare cash is not easy to come by, but in case I ever win the lottery, your name would be on the IOU list. So what would be on this wish list of yours that I could send you? Vanilla beans?
Just make sure to pronounce it properly. It’s Be-Linda… but it may possibly change it to Blinda if goats find it hard to pronounce. Sorry, been watching too much Wicked. 😅
As a Canadian living in Belgium, I can confirm that a frangipane filled croissant is not only readily available at just about all grocery stores and bakeries, but are also absolutely delicious.
That does sound nice. I was thinking of those cakes. They're like a British Bakewell, except it uses apricot jam and icing. Usually frangipane doesn't even refer to the filling, but those specific cakes
I appreciate that you always wish everyone is okay when you hear sirens rather than being annoyed when they interrupt your filming. I live across from a hospital and the emergency heli-pad. The first few times I saw a helicopter come in was cool, I gawked. But I quickly realized that while I watch them land, who ever is going into or coming out of that helicopter is having the worst day of their life. I don't act annoyed or upset when I hear a helicopter come into land, I say a silent prayer that they'll be okay. Thanks for having that same respect ❤
When you called the Blender Blenda it reminded me of Miss Piggy's daughter in A Muppet Christmas Carol "I'm BELINDA." I'm voting that you name the blender Belinda. Have a happy new year, you and your family!
I have visited this channel during many tough times this year. It has been the wordt year yet and I am here again trying to calm my panic attack. I dont know if it gets better, but thank you for this sense of comfort youve created for me on this tiny space of the internet.
When you were placing the rolled crepes in the bare dish, I was yelling "You've got to butter it!!" Glad you eventually did! I'm personally glad you went to the middle of the finished version - it looked like the best. Happy New Year, Jamie!!
Call me weird but when I was growing up and watching Julia Child cooking shows on PBS, I thought she was saying “Go on out for tea!” This recipe is deceptively easy and easy to screw up. Making crepes can go easy but if you are impatient or inattentive they can easily burn, tear, or just gum up. Practice makes perfect! I love whipping up a gateaux of crepes with alternating fruits or fruit jam and chocolate or hazelnut spread. Love this video! It brings back memories and is a great way to finish out the year! Happy holidays and here’s to a Hopeful and Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!!! I know this is Jamie and Julia in French cuisine, but you say crepes and it makes me think of a Japanese street food I saw once called Crepe Brulee!! You start with an overly large 14 inch crepe, fold in half. Put in a couple thin slices of cheesecake, sliced strawberries, and some whipped cream. Roll up like a cone. Drop a dollop of custard into the top, sprinkle with sugar, and torch. Creme Brulee topped strawberry cheesecake crepe cone - Crepe Brulee
You have one of my favorite channels, Jamie. I've dropped channels when they seem like they just don't care once they've "arrived", and you keep getting better and better. The quality and thoughtfulness you apply every time, every episode, is fun, always interesting and entertaining. Happy New Year, Jamie and family. Looking forward to 2025.
✨Thank you to the crew and families who make Anti-Chef possible. This past year has been a fun journey and I can’t wait to see what 2025 bring✨ 🍾🥂Happy New Year 🥂🍾
Thanks Jamie for a great year. I enjoyed it all and just made the boeuf bourguignon for friends and they loved it. Thanks to Julia and you. Wishing you a great 2025 and I’m looking forward to all your recipes.
I am so impressed and inspired by how far your cooking skills have come!! Crepes alone are tricky, and you being able to eyeball a quarter cup of milk really speaks to how much practice you have in the kitchen. A hearty ayo to the new year; may it bring good things to you and yours, and thanks for all the laughs and joy in 2024! 🎉
I ran across a recipe for Lady fingers the other day and for a brief millisecond thought of making them. Then i remembered, lol! Beautiful crepes Jaime, a great way to end the year! Happy New year to all and see you in 2025! 🥳🥂🌟💕
I always assumed that all the excess food gets fed to your friends and nearest contacts- your extremely fortunate friends and contacts! I'm an old lady- grew up watching Julia's show "The French Chef" but have never tackled her recipes. Thank you for entertaining me, and showing me it can be done in a normal kitchen! Happy New Year to you and yours!
The time between Christmas Day and January 6th is all still Christmas! The twelve days we sing about start on the 25th so you’re not nowhere you’re still in Christmas! Hope that helps. Thank you for being here for us all.
It always begins and ends with Julia... Great choice and love this! Looking forward to what you create and choose to challenge yourself with in the New Year! Happy 2025!
today's video made me realize i honestly trust your cooking ability, and similarly, made me recognize just how far you've come. a fantastic way to end the year!
I was impressed with how deftly you may those crepes using that pan. I've only ever succeeded in making them with a crepe pan, and even then the first one never turns out! Anyway, glad I found this channel. Always inspiring and entertaining!
This was a joy to watch. Seeing you continue to push yourself and be able to apply your hard won experience was simply delightful. Thanks for another year of getting to watch you grow and learn!!!
Happy New Year! You need two offset spatulas, (small and large) for spreading frostings, fillings and for flipping crepes and lefsa! They're a great kitchen tool!
Fab! Thank you Jamie for another year of delish wonderful recipes brought with humour and love. We love and appreciate you so much. Happy 2025 to you and Kristy… exciting delivery during the year. Not sure when it’s going to be born but best of luck to you all. 🥂have another great year! Xxx ❤️❤️❤️
Perfect Sunday evening! Thanks for this amazing year with your great videos. Cooking is a passion, and you really grew into that passion. It's lovely to see that. May your 2025 be amazing, full of new experiences and a happy and healthy family. Take care Jamie!
I feel like you might have had one too many glasses of Christmas cheer🤣. Reminds me of when I was a kid and my family went to a restaurant on Christmas, and the staff were a li'l tipsy. the highlight is when the waiter poured coffee behind his back, and managed not to spill a drop. Cheers!
Happy New Year Jamie! I love your channel. You are awesome and I look forward to every video. I hope all is well with you and your family. This time next year there will be a baby Anti-Chef! So excited for you and your sweet wife. Cheers!
You're a real trooper for trying to make the ladyfingers work, Jamie! Thanks for all you do. YOU are the reason I even attempted to relearn cooking/baking after trauma and tragedy had me relearning how to live. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your blossoming family.
Great way to finish out a fabulous year of Anti Chef! Julia’s crepes are always a hit and those look delicious. Can’t wait until we hear story’s about the soon to be addition eating their first crepe… I know it’s a long way off but I trust there will be many wonderful recipes between now and then. Have a wonderful and safe New Year and may the new addition to Anti Chef arrive healthy, happy and sleep through the night quickly!!!
I got a laugh when you took the crepes out of the oven and you said "looking like a dessert, and also looking like you know what". And you know what, it kinda does. Happy New Year to Jamie, his family and everyone else.
What a surprising year for the channel. Happy Holidays everyone! Also, my partner and I play the game of "Is Priyant Still Subscribed" at the end of every episode because I remembered when I first saw that Jamie had a Patreon subscriber. I feel like Priyant should have a special place at the top.
Such a pro with those crepes ... you always ace those !! This looks absolutely delicious. I love frangipane/almond flavor ....I think it's an Italian-American thing ...
Happy New Year to the most watchable young chef around! Love your affair with Julia, I recommend the Melody sheep compilation of her PBS show in musical form. It really captures her!😍
Hi Jamie! Thank you for all your efforts this year! It was amazing as always! But I want to know how your wife and the pregnancy is going. I hope she's thriving. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you, your lovely wife and to baby anti-chef! 🎊☃🎊 Edit: Jamie, you have become an awesome cook and I've enjoyed your journey, every step of the way. I hope 2025 is your best year, ever! 💛
Your journey has shown that practice and challenging oneself is what makes a chef, professional or not. Anyone can make a mistake, even a Michelin-star chef. It's how one recovers that makes the difference. And you've learned how to recover very well! Once they hit the plate, I would have made whipped cream with very low sugar to top them. I'm sure they didn't need it, but I like adding airiness.
My mother used a wide paintbrush to sprinkle a hint of a liquid. Very lightly load the brush, then move it above the surface while tapping the brush hand on your other hand. Reload often.
This channels the reason I attempted a Wellington for Christmas dinner this year and based on the success of that alone I’m forever indebted to Jamie
I have also attempted some difficult dishes I never thought I would try because of Jamie! The one that realky stands out is the Pumpkin Milkbar Cake.
Beef Wellington is on my list.....it really didn't look that complicated!
The video title had me fearing you were ending the channel. I'm glad it's just the end of year episode.

Really???
If he ends the channel we’ll have to storm the capitol 😂😂😂
You have entertained me, made me laugh, impressed me, inspired me, taught me.
Thank you.
❤😊❤
I agree! Anytime I’m planning to try a new recipe from Julia, I always check to see if Anti-Chef has made it. It helps me avoid the pitfalls. 😂
“Far less bugs”, always the signs of a good cook!
The Blender has a new name. Belinda!
It was my first thought too! HAHA
That was my second thought. My first was Brenda!!
Belinda is well known for her quality cookware! (Real Belinkers know what I’m talking about)
The blender has been around as long as the granny. It should be Bob the Blender.
Just make sure to pronounce it properly. It’s Be-Linda… but it may possibly change it to Blinda if goats find it hard to pronounce.
Sorry, been watching too much Wicked. 😅
I'm amazed by the fact you managed to live in Belgium for an entire year, and avoid frangipane. That stuff is everywhere!
We all know he was too busy eating croquettes lol
As a Canadian living in Belgium, I can confirm that a frangipane filled croissant is not only readily available at just about all grocery stores and bakeries, but are also absolutely delicious.

Oh, you people, I hope it's better for you all in the coming year xxxxx
Those crepes looked delicious. Anti-Chef 2024 kicked ass! Looking forward to Anti-Chef 2025, especially the debut of Baby Chef 👶
Thanks Jaime for being the best channel on RUclips. Can’t wait to see what 2025 brings us.
Agreed Mary... Jamie is one that I look forward to every week..! I am sure that 2025 is only going to get even better!
I'm guessing baby food.
