I’ve heard remarks on Sid’s intelligence multiple times now, with people going on about how he wasn’t bright. My response, drawn from my own personal experience is, he was 21 year old kid, who was very insecure. I have no idea what his score was on the IQ chart, however, insecurities coupled with young age, doesn’t allow you to show who you really are to the world. I used to be the butt of the joke to most of my friends, because of my insecurities I played a goofball character, and used to micromanage everything I said. Then, as I learned not to let my past dictate my future, and developed a belief in myself, I felt like my intelligence blossomed overnight. But, self-doubt, reinforced by the people who are supposed to be in your corner, over and over again, can make you feel stupid. RIP Sid

Johnny is the most fascinating, intelligent, articulate, talented, authentic, highly entertaining, hilariously funny and absolutely gorgeously handsome rock star on the planet! I love Paul cook too, the drummer. He seems a really down to earth guy unaffected by his fame/celebrity at the time, Steve, John and especially Sid all went on a massive ego trip, it's a shame too as the sex pistols were magnificent in their hey day, my top 3 bands of all time.
