That Gucci owner is kinda refreshing. He loves what he wears. Plus his pops knew that he only likes numberless dials. So that's some sentimental value right there. We get a lot of big Japanese and European brands here and there's a good reason why they command respect. I don't care so much for Gucci as a brand. But it's nice to see something different every once in a while. All watches are welcome here. So thank you for featuring the Gucci guy and for making this series so inclusive.
I love watches, I love japan, your channel has such an interesting content. You ask the right questions, to get the answer that satisfy my curiosity. Unfortunately, your channel is addictive for me😅 Love it! Thank you🙏🏼
I like the simplicity of the casio from the IT guy…it’s a GADA watch. I’m considering to buy a three hander oceanus on my next japan trip. The other watches of this vdo are not really my cup of tea. I would never buy this model of Lange & Söhne (fortunately tastes are different).
@@TheJapaneseFactory definitely the Lange & Sohne and the whole story of how the buyer got it and the datejust what a beauty. I own a Tudor Black Bay 58 and a gold submariner i inherited from my father. Love the variety and the multicultural vibes of your channel and the guy doing the interviews is a talent and knows his shit.
Thanks for your comment, and yeah, we are searching for one and we did find one but they didn't want to be interviewed in the ginza video. What's your favourite GS? :)
I remember reading an article about the Lange 1 back in the early 90s. It was the first watch they designed after reestablishing the brand 46 years after the eastern part of Germany including the city of Glashütte fell into Russian hands after the end of WWII, and all the watch manufacturers in Glashütte were consolidated into one company that sold watches under the brandname Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe, shortened to GUB. It takes a master watchmaker 6 months to build one Lange 1. They were priced considerably cheaper back in the day, though. I think the price was around 35000 Deutschmark, which would be around 18000 Euro today. Great watch, although I prefer the Glashütte Original PanoReserve limited edition in platinum over the Lange 1. It’s more elegant and can be had secondhand for less than half of what the Lange 1 goes for. By the way, Glashütte Original is what became of what was left over of GUB, after what became A. Lange & Söhne split off from GUB after Germany reunified.
I had no idea about the history of Glashutte and Lange, and that it was so intertwined! thanks for the detailed writeup :) so I'm guessing it was your favourite watch this episode then?
@ most people don’t know. That’s why I mentioned it. Actually it wasn’t my favorite because he’s got the white dial version, I prefer the black dial. I know, I’m hard to please. 🤪 My favorite was the Rolex Datejust II with the blue face, the fluted bezel and the diamond indices.
@TheJapaneseFactory yeah, that's also a really nice shade of blue. That watch also looks awesome in two-tone with a white mother of pearl dial, or in all gold and a black diamond dial!
Thank you so much, we hope so too! It's always fun to talk to people about their watches and Tokyo is the perfect place, lots of variety in watches here!

Are you sure you have the right model? I put it at 50-60k after seeing that chrono listing but he mentioned it's an Asia limited edition of the Lange series 1 with the little Lange on the dial so it might actually be worth more... LMK if you have any further info
@@TheJapaneseFactoryyeah, to each their own, but as a watch guy you need to know that all the fashion brand watches aren’t even close to being worth the money they sell for. It’s basically a 40 dollar quartz watch sold for several hundred bucks. Any automatic Seiko will be a better buy and there’s lots of nice Seikos to be had for that kind of money. If you go secondhand you could get something really nice!
Thanks for asking that A. Lange owner really interesting questions. Really gave us some insight into the evolution of his preferences. He owns a stunning piece of horology.

1:34 Heil! To the brother wearing A. Lange. The brand is underrated. Actually, Deutsch brands like A. Lange, Glashütte and even entry levels like Nomos and Junghans are underrated and under appreciated.
I wouldn’t call Lange & Söhne an underrated brand.(Maybe less known outside the watch comunnity) ; it represents the absolute peak of watchmaking, with a very high percentage of handcrafted work. However, they can be quite difficult to obtain. German watches are amazing!
I agree with him tbh, everyone loses their minds over Rolex, and the holy trinity is even less well known than Rolex, and then A. Lange. is even less known than the Trinity, mostly people who are interested in haute horology only are aware of them. They make awesome watches to behold though for sure, I loved seeing it 👀

I can certainly see the argument but those RO perpetual calendars are beautiful.I do like the 11.59 though recently but yeah.... lets hope any new release they do is not as bad as the Patek Phillippe cubitus 😂

😂 why would he put the old owner on blast? I'd be happy if the old owner wasn't aware of what he has so I could get it cheaper than true market rate 😉
