BIG WILL: YOU ARE THE MAN!!! Thanks to you, I have AC again on my 2011 Sonata. You probably saved me $250 at LEAST! Probably over $300 compared to having a dealer solve it. This is such an easy fix, yet I'm pretty sure my dealer would have skinned me alive.
NOTE: Actually, I didn't even change the part. I remembered your comment at 2:53 about troubleshooting it. When I noticed how dirty it was, I sprayed the contacts really well with brake cleaner. Rubbed a Q-Tip on them a little bit, and then finished up with some MAF Sensor Cleaner (because this part reminds me of how a MAF sensor looks).
AC works like a champ now.
It's 88F today and I'm cool as a cuke in my driveway, with my windows rolled up.
Except for a little aerosol spray that I already had, I didn't have to buy anything at all.

Good video...Our Camry is doing the same thing it has two fans and one for a/c doesn't turn on but cools fine when we drive.
Also make sure you check that the a/c compressor is coming on
I have a camry..never had a c problems...ever,,one of my fans doesn't always stay on though
@@stevemendess2683 well one for cooling engine cycles on and off....but when ac on one is supposed to stay on. The ac side was broken so only cooled when driving.

This video is helpful. My ac works but under certain conditions, I can sit their and let the car idle with ac in for 10 mins, on a hot day, air won’t get cold, but once I start driving for a few miles, all of a sudden cold air, everyone is telling me it’s just too hot

I am having this exact problem with my 2011 Sonata Turbo. This is likely what’s going on with mine as well. Ice cold air when moving, literally a sauna at idle.
Yeap my 2011 Sonata is doing the same thing, boy was it fun going to the desert when it was 103.

@@Oz_Legend_Outdoors Yes I had the compressor replaced, and now it works great, cools the car fast and works while parked. Last week it was 109 so it was great to get it done before summer hit.

If your fans works it's your AC pressure higher than 55 psi leak some out until it's start freeze in park if u don't have a gauge.

Hello...how about a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander that stops blowing cold air when I'm stopped at a red light or stop and go traffic??? Once I get going, it starts blowing cold air again. REALLY annoying! I have to put it in neutral and rev up the engine when I'm stopped, or I will bake. Freon HAS been properly vacuum and recharged...Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have same issue with my Veloster 2013 the feron level is good and the compressor is working when the car stop it doesn't cool as much as when i drive it. I went to Hyundai parts store and they told me that the resistor has nothing to do with it and that it's the Senssor Assy need to be replaced. I did replace it and i see a little improvement. Idk if i should change the Resistor too !
The risister allows the cooling fan to change speed according to the situation so if it is not working properly your fan may not operate at the speed it needs to when the A C is running which won't move enough air through the radiator and condenser to cool them down. It blows cold air while car is moving but when i stop it blows hot air

The AC work only some of the times.
Had it diagnosed and everything was good. But still only blows cold air sometimes. I replaced the door bend motor because I noticed only the passenger side was blowing cold air and not the driver side. But it also blows cold air some of the times. Help anyone

My question is that my kia forte air condition doesn't come on when switch on, no air condition light on the climate control switch and the fan doesn't work either, it only comes on when the engine is hot enough pls help

That’s still hot, shouldn’t it be closer to the high 30’s or low 40’s, degrees that is??
V6 maybe but 4cyl normally gets cooler while driving
My 07 Chevy Tahoe does the exact same thing but it doesn't have a resistor on mine any idea on mine please
@fidencioyanez2376 your cooling fan, condenser or dryer may not be working properly. You can start by having the system vacuum and check for leaks. There should be a little glass window on the ac line check to see if it's cloudy or foamy, the system may have moisture in it. Good fix.I havemy AC cooling well when driving, early moving and evening but when idling cooling is less,could this be a radiator fan resistor faulty?. Note fan not works in cold weather and sometimes slowly spinning but immediately but on hot weather

Same issue with my 2011 Sonata, but even after installing the new resistor, the fan only comes on when needed for the radiator it seems. Is there a fuse? Air is really cold when I'm on the highway too, but I understand that's bc of the air being rammed through. Going to wiggle the wires to see if it's that.

Bro. I have the same issue with my Honda Civic 02..My AC is cooling when driving but as soon as i stopped ac starting to blow warm air..I gonna give this a try to replace aux resistor and i hope it will fix my AC.

My 2011 sonata has the same issue. I changed the part you stated and the fan will not engage when the ac is turned on. It turns and for the engine to cool it down.

I’m having this problem once again...but I had my compressor and condenser replaced by a dealership and all of a sudden it’s doing the EXACT same thing it did before I got my compressor and condenser replaced...sooo is it something they missed or did they play me?

Help please, I have a AMG Mercedes. The air conditioner doesn't start cooling until I start driving. When I hit a bump it goes from blowing cool air to blowing warm air. Sometimes when I cut it off, if I am driving above 60 I can her a slight air whistling noise coming from the vents
Make sure your cooling fan comes on when you turn on the ac

I have a piece of crap boss that is mad at me for complaining that the AC doesn't work in the delivery van....
That idiot gets in tge van and drives it around the block and comes back and tells me THE AC WORKS! STOP COMPLAINING!
I told him IDIOT IT DOESN'T WORK WHEN YPU SITTING STILL...now he won't talk to me or get the van fixed

my air doesn’t work at all when i turn it on ,, i only get a little bit of outside air when i’m driving ,, barely any... i have a brand new blower motor and resistor idk wat it could be
Check if the blower is coming on, if it is then your air duct bypass door may not be working. If it's not coming on then check your fuse and relay you can as also try different air settings ie. Foot, face, etc.

If you put a new blower motor in and you still aren’t getting any kind of air check the blower relay switch, usually close to the blower itself.
Would this be the same for a 2009 kia optima that doesnt blow any air until i"m driving?

What about if you start a car and put A/C the fan will automatically works?
The fan may work but not moving enough air to cool the condenser.

Hi, I'm having same issue with Dodge Charger but also the drivers side vents blow colder than the passengers side. What could cause that?
Start with checking the freon level. If you don't have the necessary equipment you should take it to a shop
or,,the radiator doesn't keep water,,try a new radiator cap
I had the same issue and it was the “blend door actuator”. You prolly won’t get this since this was over a year ago lol
I changed my compressor and now it’s doing the same thing as your video.
When I’m driving it the ac is cold. But as soon as I stop it gets warm.
If u change the compressor.shouldnt b having a c problems..I say u trade it for a honda or toyota

Just one question, I have been having a problem in my car. When I turn on the AC the blower fan doesnt comes on immediately, just when the engine temperature is high. I have to sit with no AC for the first 15 mins of run. It is the same problem?

You can try having the following checked
AC system is low on refrigerant
AC system pressure is too high
AC clutch fuse is blown
AC clutch relay isn’t working
Bad ground to AC clutch
Bad AC clutch coil (short or open)
Excessive AC clutch air ga
All u need is a fan replacement!!wow
Hi Bill, I have a 2013 infinity JX35 and my fan is acting weird, sometimes starts then suddenly stop. I replace the cooling sensor and the thermostat and the problem still there, I am think it could be the radiator fan module....any thoughts?
My friends car started overheating cause of a c problems..it was n infinity,,ended exchanging it for a corolla..high mileage though

Your AC condenser is probably clogged or your low on refrigerant

You probably have a vacume problem with a door inside your cooling box. There is foam around the door edges that get sticky cause the door to stay shut.
You may have a problem with your cooling system. I would have that checked out first
Hi, How would you check resister? 2013 ATS has a module. I have the same issue as you describe. AC works great when the fan comes on or when the car is moving.

Great video, I was hopping it would help me, but hate to say it did not, have a similar problem on a 2005 Honda Accord 2.4 4cyl ac work fine NO PROBLEM while I'm driving or at a stop, no problem, but when the summer comes AND TEMPERATURES ARE ABOVE 90 DEGREES OUTSIDE the ac only cools while driving, blower just blows regular air while I'm at a stop, but once I take of, (driving) street or freeway, it air gets cold,,,I clean the condenser not dirty, both fans go on when ac is turn on, no overheating, not sure what could be wrong, if any one can help, it would be much appreciated.

I've also seen that problem and seems like not even the dealership have any answers. Try running it at home and have someone spray water on the condenser to see if it gets any cooler. It could be a air flow issue providing everything else is ok. Freon level, Compressor/ Clutch, Compressor belt and cabin filter
You can also try having the following things checked out
AC system is low on refrigerant

I wash the condenser yesterday with the pressure nozzle on the water hose, and it was clean, just did it anyway, as far as the air flow,,is good, nothing blocking it's path if the Freon level we're to be low,,,would't it not cool at all, cause like I mention, it works fine on not so hot days or at nigh...
@@toishingao176 My Subaru issue is similar to yours. High RPMs it works great. Temps under 70 outside and it works. Over 70 and I need high RPMs. I had a shop look into and they found nothing of use. They added minimal Freon and it worked for a week or so. As time goes by, the RPMs needed gets higher. Did you ever figure out your issue?

First off is the fan coming on when you turn on the a/c? fan in the front by the radiator should come on and the fan inside that blows the air inside the car.

My car also has a similar problem to this. The AC only blows cold when it is temperate or cold out side, but won't blow cold air when it's hot out. It's also like this when traffic is stop and go. Could this fix that problem? Thanks!
That could be a part of the problem. Run your car with the AC on and check if the fan is on, you can also use a hose to spray water through the grill on the condenser and see if it starts to blow cold.

Check to see if your fan is connected directly to the engine. Be sure to turn off your ignition when doing so

@@TonyAdams95 in that case your fan Clutch may be bad and is not allowing the fan to cool the AC condenser. Are you experiencing any overheating problems with the Vehicle? Or noise?
Those cars aren't even worth it
