Got my e82 Coupe 8 Months ago. 60 000 Km 118d 2012. 2 Months after I got it... Timing Chain broken. 2 Months after that, Exhaust Return Valve clogged. Luckily I have a Used Car Warranty and i only had to repair 20 % of the Worktime, wich cost me around 600 €. Hadn´t i had that Waranty, I would have to pay around 5 000€ to get everything repaired. Luckily since all that was fixed around a Month ago , the car runns smooth like butter and nothing else seems to be faulty. Knock on Wood. (Plus i get to hear from Friends and Family that i´m dumb for buying a BMW with the N47 Engine, which is Well Known to be the most unreliable Enging BMW has ever produced). Sorry for my bad English, i´m from Germany. Anyone else had Problems with your e82 or e87?
Haha bei mir ist es genau das selbe :D Habe meinen e82 120d n47 vor einem Jahr gekauft. Bis jetzt war er 3 mal in der Werkstatt ( insgesamt 3000€ an Reperaturkosten ). Einen neuen Turbolader hat er vom Vorbesitzer bekommen nur die Steuerkette wurde noch nicht gemacht... Drückt mir die Daumen :D
This is because you guys in Europe are servicing every 30 000 kms that’s bullshit bmw sells, use a thicker oil every 10 000 kms and all will be just fine.
@@MitchellGriffith if you want something to work with get the 128i, if you tune get the 135i, if you want the package try to find 135is. Good luck though think I got the last one honestly. Whatever you get NO SOFT TOP!
@dancewithnightwind333 i have to agree with you as im looking to buy a 120d next month to replace my mk5 astra 1.8 fed up of visiting the fuel station. Diesel particularly bmw turbo diesel units have got serious poke n the 120d on a stage 1 map get over 230bhp n not to mention a shitload of torque. Ive had many petrol bmw's in the past n none match the torque delivery of the diesels. Fuel economy and serious power cant complain. I think the person above wants a straight pipe loud as hell exhaust hence he said go for a petrol that costs a bomb to run and tax lol 😂
Nah it's like a thing that everyone says it's ugly, but still somehow nice. Swap out the grill for black, but a splitter on it and angel eyes and then it's pretty cool....when people put wide body kits on them they look deadly tho!
The 125i is no turbocharched engine (brilliantly investigated) and is capable of about 270HP with just software changes.
I am buying one in a couple years by god I must have one!!!!!!

the 135 m sport is severly fast, mid range punch is beyond belief . easily a fast as a porsche cayman in standard form , i love it

I'm not really fan of BMW, but the design of this car has aged pretty well, I love it a lot. Looks so badass with the M Packet body kit on it.
