You mentioned using some fuel tubing cut and added? Where did you add it? Are you using it like a spacer?
I went with Big Rock shocks because I liked the all black look and found them for cheap on Jenny's RC online. You have to add fuel tubing to the shock shafts under the front pistons otherwise the travel and ride height is simply too much. 3/8" worked well. I reused the original shock oil after reassembling the shocks.
@@richduperbash2966 ok so the 4 rear big rock 6s shocks I bought today from Jenny’s come fully assembled with 1300cSt oil…. Am I good just bolting these shocks onto my 4s and using this oil? Assuming I figure out how to modify the front shock that is… in the video the shock shafts are covered with some kind of black material? Is the tubing you added under that? Can you email me a photo of the tubing modification by any chance?? I can give you my email
You have to open the shock, drain the oil (save in a cup or empty shock oil container). The fuel tubing goes under the pistons inside the shock body on the shaft. You could remove the piston and slide the tubing onto the shaft, then replace the piston. I pulled my shafts out of the shock body and slid the tubing up and put the shafts back through the shock bodies.
I bought one of these brand new back in December. I’ve had nothing but problems with this thing right out of the box. Biggest waste of money I’ve spent in a long time.
That's unfortunate David 😕. What sort of problems? You're the first person I've heard disappointed. My gripe would be the faulty ESC. It's been flawless since swapping in a Spectrum 150A.
@@richduperbash2966 for starters it accelerated on its own full send into a curb. Had it warrantied. They said the esc was fine but the motor was bad. Also something isn’t right with the diff or something. Makes god awful grinding noise at full throttle. That and the body getting stuck plus other issues with it. Just haven’t been too happy with it. I’ve considered selling or trading it. But also want to get everything ironed out with it and keep it. Haven’t decided yet.
Wow 😳. I've had run-aways before too and it's pretty scary depending on who's around/where you're at. I turned the truck on after grabbing the wrong controller and the factory fail safe wasn't performed or working as intended. Had an 8s truck go right in front of an ATV rider and dude was pissed. Reinforcing the front portion of the body with shoe goo or E6000 and Fibatape will stop it from flexing downwards and getting caught in the wheels. The noise at full throttle could be chatter from center driveshaft wobble 🤔. Mine doesn't do it, but I've heard many complain theirs does.
I would remove and reinstall the shaft to make sure it's fully engaged and inspect it for wear or obvious tweakage. It's spring loaded so you have to pull the rear towards the bearing holder and lift it upwards, then straight back from the front diff. Reinstall in reverse order getting the bearing back in the holder prior to reinsertion of the rear shaft.
Thanks Brother 🤗. Agreed 100%. Check out my next vid with it. Exactly why I swapped on tuned 6s shocks. Completely changed her handling and overall capability.

@@richduperbash2966 is there a fix for that? And yeah my body does get caught on the wheels
I would remove and reinstall the shaft to make sure it's fully engaged and inspect it for wear or obvious tweakage. It's spring loaded so you have to pull the rear towards the bearing holder and lift it upwards, then straight back from the front diff. Reinstall in reverse order getting the bearing back in the holder prior to reinsertion of the rear shaft.
cool truck, but the suspension is absolute garbage....... way too soft and absolutely overwhelmed.
but... great video´s. as always. i love it :-)
Thanks Brother 🤗. Agreed 100%. Check out my next vid with it. Exactly why I swapped on tuned 6s shocks. Completely changed her handling and overall capability.
@@richduperbash2966 Yes, it is also fine.
Here in Germany there is someone who has dealt with this professionally.
engines for xmaxx etc, springs, oils,
great what he does...
He also offers springs and pistons for the Mojave 6S and 4S. and other... xmaxx, xrt, udr, etc...
maybe interesting for you.
Here's the Mojave 6s before and the second video is after. really awesome.

Looking good Rich. Can’t wait to see what tuning options you make, you inspired me to break my RC purchasing hiatus with one of these bad boys 🫡🥵🚀
Can’t wait to get mine!
