Aside from the body, this truck is almost perfect. I have had a few bearings go out but that's not a big deal at all. This is my favorite RC. I've owned some awesome stuff, but this is the most well rounded RC in my opinion. Plus is super cheap and easy to maintain and repair. Awesome truck.
Love all your reviews Francis.. Your enthusiasm for all the RC's you review come's through loud and clear on every video. Keep up the great work mate..
First thing I did to mine is change out the springs and drill out the body posts in the chassis so the body doesn't get stuck. Stock springs are waay too soft imo, even with all the spacers installed. Its such a nice truck for the price after a few minor mods
there is a nasty track by my house where me and some locals race nitro and electric buggies. When I say nasty I mean big jumps and losts of bumps and sand. Some guy brought this out and holy crap it dominated and handled so well which is why I'm here watching these videos. I was just amazed how well it performed.
Nice video. What I don''t like is that the front end is almost all the way off the ground because so much power is being sent to the rear. So you potentially lose some power because the front wheels aren't touching the ground firmly. I'd still buy it though if I had the money! Looks awesome and as you said it sounds like it's easy to control.
Glad you mentioned the plastic chassis. I wont buy a lot of these bigger rigs with a metal chassis. Metal bends and stays bent. If you bend it back it can only do that so many times. Metal chassis are expensive to replace.
What you mean they’re like 10 bucks on eBay or a place that parts cars out . I’ve only bent them landing on something otherwise I add a bar from tower to tower and worse that can happen is you bend a tower or break bulk head if you’re really sending it
Hey, great video and review! I just bought one today and watched a bunch of videos, and I like your honest review the best! Showing how the side posts can stick with sandy conditions will be HUGE for me as I'm mostly going to sand drag race it. I'll stick some washers on it first thing. Thanks!
Hey man, I've got a Mojave 4s coming in in a few days. Have you had any lvc issues by chance, requiring the use esc programmer? I'm kinda worried about it but very excited. Thank you!
@Langelmaki I haven't had any issue with that. I run a Gens Ace Bashing 6800 4s and get around 45 mins drive time depending on how I'm driving of course, and sand versus hard packed dirt. I've heard the LVC is set a little high, but I haven't really checked cause I'm happy with it. This truck is crazy stable and takes huge jumps well. Occasionally, the steering will get little rocks in it, just pick it up by the front 2 tires and move them with your hands back and forth a few times and it'll clear them out. The only other funny thing is sometimes the front corner of the body will tuck under the wheel if you nosedive real hard. Otherwise, I have put 8 packs through mine on sand and dirt, and I like finding a combo of both if possible
@toddalodinauticus Wow, thank you for the thorough response! That's great to hear actually as I will be running the same batteries. This will be my second rc vehicle, after a trx4, and I'm very excited. Thank you for helping to put me at ease, plus all the extra info. You sir, have yourself a fantastic day! And thanks again.
I love this Mojave 4s thank you ! This is an amazing truck the hype is real I like to wheelie and jump but this is on another level yes no wheelies but wow is it a fun drive enjoy your truck bro I would like to see a series of this truck bro if you happen to upgrade it to 6s I’m thinking of doing that but only for wheelies but it is fine the way it is it’s drifts so amazing and jumps like a middle I’m in love with this truck
14:31 Watch that switch wire running across the top of the hole! You already got it once and didn't notice it. ;) looks around 13:53, and 14:15 where the body was sitting all up in the front. Cool video. I'm on the fence about getting one of these.
Love the videos. Great work. I was thinking of putting a max 8 2250kv Motor combo, in this. What are your thoughts and what size pinion would you use for the same speed?

Love your videos, Brother. Keep up the good work. When I buy this truck, it will be because of you, so tell Arrma.
I think I’m only arrma guy that can’t take Mojave out without breaking something 😂 I think I’m just really good at keeping power on the ground and going hard as the rc allows and Mojave a big beast , a lot of rotational mass going from swb to LWB
Can't believe i snapped the fork on promoto were it bolts down into the fork lug(which is upgraded metal and a no go)? 4ft jump. Always keep everything stock plastic because it's designed to flex under load!
Hi,I'm about to pull the trigger on it,but I don't know what battery to get. I do want 4 s. What do you recommend? I need to get it from horizon hobby though. Tha KS in advance
Hey, after you run your truck in dust how you clean your truck? I ask because i wanted to run with water because seems easiest and quicker way but i am concern for electrival parts even if i cover them. So what is your best sugest?
Little flex seal on the body and some minor tweaks this thing looks insane. I just don’t trust Arrma bodies, I’ve seen them crumble like a potato chip too many times and they aren’t cheap! Might as well be blowing a motor for that price 😂 Someone should take a micrometer to Arrma bodies vs traxxas. Not a brand guy by any means but my e revo 2.0 body feels crazy thick compared to my granite body
@@V8chump Yeah mate, it's a pain in the ass. The Flex Seal cans are fast. Light coats of the stuff are the go...I use 5 coats and they turn out great. Really changes the sound of the cars as well and it makes lexan so much stronger and flexi. Get it right into the stress spots easily enough. Shoe Goo and Wall Tape is just messy and takes too long. But that's just me. Others don't mind spending the time cutting out wall tape and gluing it down, It still works well, But not as well in my humble opinion.
Think I might get this over the maxx slash.. ii drove the maxx slash n didn't think it handled that bad for a basher but seeing videos of this makes the maxx handling look really sluggish..
I know it's apples and oranges but in an on-road vs off-road sense. How does it compare to the infraction 6s? I love my infraction and this looks like something I should add to my fleet.
To wheelie while having a mid motor lcg chassis and great suspension is nuts for a RTR . Shows how arrma always brings it with rtrs and not having to upgrade to make them RIP
It still gets silly dirty even with that skeleton. It doesn’t help keep clean at all. 0%. It is the dirtiest of all my RCs by FAR!!! The honeycomb collects mud and debris and are a pain in the a** to clean out unless you get in each “comb” with q-tips. But still so much fun.
Looks like 4S wins! In 2024, I have a good feeling ARRMA will be revamp their Mojave 6s RTR version with EXB parts. The new Kraton 6S EXB RTR that is currently for pre-order is impressive. They are about to revamp all their vehicles across the board next year.
To compare the 6S to the 4S is like comparing apples and oranges. They are in different leagues and price points. To say the 4S is better than the 6S is outrageous. The 6S is capable of running 8S if equipped with a powerful enough ESC and motor. And all the diffs could be fine tuned, for different types of surfaces. So to say the 4S has a better center diff is not true at all. Also, which version of the 6S are we talking about here? EXB or BLX?
I don't know. Seems pretty relevant to me as it can help users decide whether they want this 4s or a 6s. They are pretty darn close to me so it's quite enlightening. And I do love my 6s Arrmas. But man, they destroy their diffs long-term. Putting 8s in them is trouble.
you're gonna want the weight of the bigger truck to actually run it across desert rough terrain. A lighter smaller truck with more travel is not a better truck, it's a completely different truck.
build quality on these is terrible, I've had 6 in the shop brand new, 3 have cracked shells, parts missing, the body mounts break really easy, 1 customer cracked his shell first use and kevin talbot also cracked his shell easily, these reviewer are not being honest because they wont get sent free stuff anymore if they are
The whole vehicle is incredibly well-built IMHO. The body shell is a bit thin in some parts. "1 customer and Kevin Talbot cracked..." Well, that doesn't prove much since anyone can destroy anything in one pack, especially Talbot since that is his mission.
Mentioning Talbot immediately destroyed your argument, credibility, and your assessment. I only broke a CVD cup. This truck can tumble for several yards and keep going, I've done it.
Yeah, I don't recommend people do RUclips things with their RC cars. I quit doing RUclips things and focused on vehicle control and I can have a whole lot of fun and not break a thing. And I'm an "all brands kind of guy". Tyco was my first as a kid, then Tamiya and Traxxas and Associated and Arrma and even some of the Amazon things. Those UDI rc cars in brushless are super dope indoor drifters. Anyway, if you don't go for the biggest dumbest thing, you can get years of tough use out of just about anything. Barring a horrible mistake on my part, I have yet to do some of the chassis cracking stuff the RUclips boys manage. I did run a cheap Hypergo rally car into my buddy's truck tire and destroyed the car in about 5 different ways but I was showing off. Anyway, that's my book.

Totally agree
Its 500 dollars without a battery and charger. So over 700 once you get it all to run. Yeah super cheap
@@waragainstmyself1159 I said cheap and easy to maintain and repair. Not cheap to buy.
