Alex, idk if you will read this, but I would read all the comments if it was my first time leading the show, so hear it goes. I’ve watched a ton (well maybe closer to a half ton-1000) episodes and I have to commend you on a job well done. It’s not easy and nerve racking being in the hot seat I’m sure. I bet it’s not quite the same as doing the crew or mythical videos but you did a 👍🏻 good job. The gmm feel I would describe revolves around the art of asking questions in which you guide a conversation based on those questions so the other person is free to reply with their opinions or stories and in turn opens a space for your agreed or disagreed rebuttal, and vis a versa. That conversationalist skill and feel for most people, outside of perhaps public speakers and professional salesmen, is unnatural and difficult to do especially when the other person isn’t doing it either. Also, knowing when and how to express opinions that compliment and differ from your guest to create the dynamic Rhett and link do is not easy either, especially since you haven’t been best friends with the guy for 35 years or something lol. However, with all that said, you did a great job Alex, you both did. It wasn’t Rhett and Link, nor should it be, but it was definitely enjoyable to watch and had its own unique experience. Plus, you kept the show rolling, no dead air, paused for an even turn of talking and to be fair the guy from hot ones didn’t talk a whole lot or give you stories to play off of. It felt as though he was very polished and fine tuned to more of a succinct professional level which is great but not the gmm feel of playful banter that I’m sure you as well as we are all used to. And despite all that, you both were great, kept it funny, and made it enjoyable. So thank you Alex, again, give yourself some love, you did a commendable job running the show.
