I've been questioning this segment since they first came up with it, a flavored product that tastes like the real thing is not necessarily good, and the product that tastes the most like the real thing is not necessarily the best one either.
Somebody decided to measure and package all the spices together so that people would buy yet another spice when they already have all the spices in their cupboard but don't want to do the work of measuring.
