Fr thought I think ASP does their own repairs. They probably have a dedicated vehicle maintenance facility like most state agencies.
All paid for by taxpayers… The same people ASP puts at risk every time they get into these extremely dangerous pursuits. I get it, they are trying to do their job but there is a reason why this activities are illegal in several states.
@@tomgarner553 There is not a single state in the US where chases are illegal.
Chasing for anything and everything is how you prevent loss of life long term. If the suspects know you wont chase, they will drive as reckless as they possibly can to get you to back off. They will also CONTINUE to drive reckless once the cops do back off, because they are still trying to get away.
I am all for mandatory 10 year sentences for fleeing and eluding with a vehicle.
@@baddriversofthenorcalarea500 Ohio is one. And no. ASP has been known to run 150 on a 2 lane road. That’s not safe. You’ll never convince me otherwise. I agree criminals need to be stopped, However get the tag number. You’re not being safe and in one of these clips you yourself almost ate the ass of a 18 wheeler. You’ve worked enough accidents to know how that would’ve turned out for you. If you have a family I pray that nothing like that happens to you. But if you keep it up long enough it eventually will and your children will live their life without you. For what? Well you was
Pursuing someone for a minor traffic violation. Just be careful. And always keep your family and the families of others higher in your mind than catching a piece of road trash.
Hearing all of those sighs after the suspect decides to run you can just tell these Arkansas Troopers are tired of chasing people😂

They are sighing because it was either almost lunch time or quitting time, or the long report that was going to have to be done.
The last chase, the officers and trooper did their job! If it’s an emergency you pull over, inform them and you will either be escorted or an ambulance called.
Absolutely should have charged them. The simple fact of them passing multiple hospitals along the way clearly shows intent. Add in the zero headlights and excessive speeds, that's just asking to go to prison.
@@BradyT918 On the other hand, they might've preferred the hospital that they had been approaching, for various reasons:
1) They know and trust the doctors there.
2) The hospital has the medical records necessary to treat whatever is the issue more quickly than going to another hospital where they have no idea what's going on and will need to redo tests.
3) The know it's a bit cheaper or where their insurance will definitely work.
There's a reason why EMT/Ambulances ask which hospital you might want to go to (if you are conscious and able to respond), rather than take you automatically to the nearest location.
Having been in an emergency situation, you literally take any medical assistance when you resort to running
I was on the way to the hospital when they called to say my mom wasn’t going to make it and if we wanted to say our goodbyes we needed to get there quickly.
I blew by the Ohio Highway State Patrol on 270 outside Columbus. Was doing around 110 or so. He pulled out. I pulled over on the right shoulder. I put my window down. Threw my wallet out of the window towards the rear of my vehicle. And yelled “My mom is at the hospital and isn’t going to make it. You can arrest me there”.
All I heard was “WHICH HOSPITAL?” As he grabs my wallet. “Mount Carmel West Sir” as I put it back into drive (Honda Civic).
“FOLLOW ME” on the loud speaker as he flys by me lights and sirens. Mad respect to the OHP

I have the upmost respect for Arkansas State Troopers. Not only are they great drivers and don’t fuck around during pursuits, they also seem very professional and dress very neatly, which is something I value in a LEO since, especially many sheriffs departments, are barely recognisable as police nowadays.
I guess the tax dollars go to uniforms and equipment since the roads have needed repairs since President W Bush was in office. But haven't there been Republican Presidents since then?

If there was an emergency you stop and tell the police what's going on and you get the police with lights to take you to the hospital. That's how normal people would do it. Btw, typical handling of the TV station: no investigation for facts, just blaring out shit to keep the "cop is bad" story going.

For the record, ole boy didn't put his family in danger because he thought it was a fake cop, he put his family in danger because he's an idiot who thinks he "has" to get a supervisor no matter what, as if it's law and not just some agencies policies, and threw a temper tantrum when trying to act like he knew the law didn't work so he took off.

Regardless of the fact the driver started a law enforcement chase, that does not mean a pit maneuver is required to end the chase. The result of that chase could have been much different.

As much as I enjoy this content- I believe the 2nd one with the White Chrysler- I could see NO tinted windows that would cause a " problem" with the law... on the vehicle.

Desperate and dumb people. There's very few cars that can actually outrun a cop car, but even then.. lack of driving skills usually puts them out of commission pretty quick
I genuinely think the smoke was from the serpentine belt, you can hear it squealing and it only smoked when the rpm was high.
Head gasket most likely, especially with the white smoke and coolant everywhere. The 300 is also notoriously known for such issues
I certainly wouldn't walk BETWEEN the cars as too many troopers do. The guy had his engine running and a quick shift into R and floor it and the trooper gets smashed back into his cruiser. Scary........
The trooper would see the reverse lights and probably be able to jump out of the way. Indeed is scary though.

The car that started leaking antifreeze. Most likely blew a head gasket from engine running to long at high speed. The car is not designed to run with it floored all the time. And if they were trying to get better acceleration by manually shifting. Then held a gear too long and overreved the engine and causing it to blow the head gasket. The fire at the end of the case shows that he cooked the engine. Oh by the way. the leak was from right cyl. head, not the exhaust. It leaked onto the right side exhaust, you can see it.( I am a retired ASE Master Tech for cars and heavy duty desiel trucks and had to fix this kind of stupidity a lot )
@ 30:38 I think he blew the head gasket and water was entering the cylinders. Not that uncommon when you abuse a vehicle.

If you had paid attention, the vehicle did have its headlights on. The reason the taillights weren't on is the mind-numbingly STUPID US requirements to NOT have separate orange turn signals like the REST of the world. When the hazard lights are turned on, the tail lights are overridden and are turned off - by law.

The officer did the right thing. I used to be a medical courier, what's a blue moon I would have a super hot run. Time management and legalwise.... pullover!! you can be legally on your way in 30 seconds, when you can validate your emergency.

Man, Little Rock is a busy town! They should teach their kids in kindergarten to pull over for blue lights before they all drop out in 1st grade.
While ASP troopers are human and capable of error, they are highly trained professionals and represent Arkansas well. One could argue this was an error, in my opinion it was not one.

That's music to my ears. All cop's should respond like this during a traffic stop. It's not a constitutional right to have a supervisor come out when you asked for one.
Notice the common denominator in most of these chases. They're all future doctors and aerospace engineers.

That 300 probably blew a head gasket. Kept driving hard while spraying oil all over the engine compartment. Once stopped, the heat built up, and the oil caught fire
The chysler was burning oil from what it seemed and other comments on this chase and the engine seized up at the end of the chase.

Last one. Emergency or not I've never heard of someone getting cut loose after a high-speed chase and a PIT. Even if you are a cop that's on duty you pull over if another officer wants to pull you over
