It never ceases to amaze me just how many of these cammers also pay so little attention to their own actions especially where it concerns situational awareness.
You should see the debate I’m having on here about the Ford ranger driver who pit maneuvered the other truck @ 6:23. Absolutely no attempt to avoid the accident, and they swerved INTO the imposing vehicle, rather than away from it.
Or, the mentality that after the cammer road rages, that somehow they are still correct in their actions. If you drive like a maniac to prove a point, you are the bad driver!
@@allen123636 yep. The wipers even kicked on. Which tells me this dude forced his truck into the other vehicle. The wiper stalk is on the drivers side of the steering wheel in a newer Ford Ranger. In order to have the wipers on high speed you have to pull the lever up. What does your arm do if you turn the steering wheel fast and your knuckles hit the wiper stalk? They turn on. This guy even said “eff her, man!” Afterward. He wasn’t caught off guard. It was pure road rage.
That was my first thought!! ID say about 40% of these accidents were totally, easily avoidable by the cammer! Do people not know about defensive driving? 🤦🏽
8:18 - a long time ago when I was a teenager, I rear ended a car at about 5mph. There were only a few scuffs on the lady's car I hit, but she was furious. She got out of her car screaming, and I legitimately thought she was going to punch me in the face. I promised myself that no matter how bad an accident, I would never lose my cool like she did. About 5 years later, I beloved car was rear ended by an elderly lady. I was disappointed, but the lady was bawling her eyes out (genuinely sorry about the incident). I am proud to say I acted like an adult and let insurance handle it, without making that lady's day any worse than it already was. There's no reason to lose your cool over a fender bender. It happens to everyone, it's really not a big deal in the grand scheme of life.
Too be fair, 50-60 mph is not a fender bender. And if my wife or kids were in the car, I would be even more angry. Accidents do happen and are sometimes unavoidable...we've all had them, but sometimes its just blatant stupidity and recklessness.
Indeed, like my dad always said, it's just metal and can be repaired. Off course being a bit angry is understandable, but the other party didn't get in their car this morning out to hit anyone.. (although some footage in this compilation seem to suggest something else...)
Literally looking for a comment on the way she took it. When I got into my first crash, which they were at fault. The first thing I did was get out of my car and see if everyone was okay. It’s okay to be mad but screaming your head off at the person doesn’t help anything.
I got rear-ended in my classic car one night. Damage was light and I would've let it go until I smelled the alcohol on her breath and the breath of her (male) passenger who threatened me. It's nice to be a reasonable person who keeps their cool after a crash, but sometimes it's okay to be angry. These two - whose religion forbids them alcohol - knowingly got on the road drunk, caused an accident, and had the fucking nerve to be aggressive to me. In his case, with an iron bar. I appreciate what you did in your case Josh, but it's not always that cut and dried.
It can be a big deal for some who have high deductible because they can only afford basic insurance, because insurance prices have gone seriously insane. I ended up making the choice to just sell the car i loved for 8 years. Bought nearly new. I named it my red bulls eye. Seemed my car was target for so many. Backed into, side swiped. The last one being mutual fault but deemed mine. I had only just had my bumper replaced a year before from this girl that pulled out of a gas station. Then right after that my car was parked at work and a drunk thought it would be fun to do doughnuts in the first snow, lost control and hit my car in its spot head on pushing it nearly all the way out of the parking spot. They never caught that idiot. Any way Guy was out teaching his son with a learners, There was a dedicated right turn with a yield sign. I watched the suv yield then go and i looked beck to recheck no one was coming, and stepped on the gas to go before the cars started coming through the light that was changing. Bang. The kid had gone past the yield and was merged already into the lane, but came to a stop after the yield because his father told him that one of the cars that was not coming yet might pull a stupid and turn into the far lane. Suv barely a scratch My beautiful red car bumper completely shattered. It was the coldest night in winter, And the place i had fix my car before had not replaced the Styrofoam insert behind the bumper. So it was just a flimsy bit of plastic. And i had my 8 year old daughter. Yes i was furious. The first thing out of my mouth was to yell why did you stop for no damn good reason. I could not afford to pay the grand deductible, and drove around with a red duct tapped bumper for a few months. Then decided to sell because the next accident this car i loved to get into might kill us. I ended up selling my low mileage no rust car with a taped bumper for a fraction of its value. I almost had to give it away. So yes sometime you can not prevent people from being insanely angry. You also do not know their circumstances. It is also sad that even though someone does something stupid in front of you and you do not have time to stop, because you hit them its always your fault!
That's a great thing Joe, speaking of your last name if you wasn't being more careful you'd have been going up towards the ' moon ' sky 😀 I'm not taking the piss btw just messing around hope you don't take offence. It's really a brilliant name an personally I hate mine ' Joshua Jacob Jones ' the only good thing I like is its JJJ, 2 of my other brothers names are JGJ & JPJ so the 3 of us is JPJ-JJJ-JGJ which is like some sort of fucking barcode or password 😆 🤣 😂 Also alot of people call my older brother Joe too. I hope you're doing well whoever are wherever you are from & I wish everything in your life is amazing an proceeds to get better by the day an if you're going through something keep strong my friend! You never know what amazing thing is waiting around the corner! Life is beautiful but unbelievably delicate so it's awesome that a RUclips video has made you think twice about situations an being careful in its entirety. I'm sure it would be pleasing to the making of the video that it's helped an maybe even avoided a possible future accident or death. I'm sure many people have done certain things but the only thing I've done I'd say is speeding/ eating or drinking while driving ( not alcohol lol ) With my extensive line of work in the military I've seen too many deaths an the least I want to do is be party to an accident possibly taking someone's life or even my own, we know what that would do to our families so the least we can do is try be safer just like you said 😀 there's certain things which make us think twice which is why I wanted to acknowledge an praise you that this has done something for you. Get a dash camera preferably not a really cheap one & also a front/rear one as the rear is as important IMO! I had something happen an my dash cameras saved me thankfully! So I know myself how valuable they are an they can save your ass for real! Peace out my friend I hope you have a wonderful day & future! ✌
Yes Joe I have noticed the same effect. Also made me think of installing a camera. What it tells me is ...... slow down, be more courteous and as my mum use to say..." think of your latter end".
12:40 "slow down slow down....." then promptly goes too slow, becomes a hazard, then speeds through coming way too close to hitting the person trying to cross the highway given the circumstances... There's some poor "back seat driving" going on.
Yep can only agree. Would've thrown the passenger right out. I would even stop to assist the accident not just drive by and fucking press the horn. Why the fuck would you do that ? Never speed up when a crash is infront of you
There's a u-haul place downtown that has street parking. I wanna go straight through the lanes so I can go to the other side. I literally can't really see the traffic coming from the driver's side (one way) but I have a building with glass that reflects to give me like a few seconds glimpse of traffic coming at me. I couldn't go straight with a clean conscience and turned right to the flow of traffic and had to gun it to make sure I didn't get into an accident. Took a few side streets to hop lanes and eventually get to my goal of going one way the other way. I dislike that stop for that reason. 👏I👏 can't 👏SEE👏
29:00 as many comments are stating, that was very clearly avoidable. You can hear what sounds like a phone noise when you change a setting, so the dashcam driver was on his phone. He tries to claim the dashcam just caught a "weird angle" but that's an excuse to get around saying "I was on my phone and wasn't looking at all". He then gets extremely irrationally angry at the other driver when it wasn't even their fault.
@@joonaolkkola7875 if he gets that scared and angry over a small bump that probably didn't even leave a dent, then that's just kind of stupid i would understand if it was a stronger impact that could have easily done costly damage to both cars, but that was so minor it probably didn't leave more than a dent at best
The sheer audacity of drivers pulling into traffic without a clear view leaves me utterly perplexed. My heart goes out to those unfortunate souls who end up getting hit while simply minding their own business on the road. Strangely enough, I've found that witnessing these incidents has had a positive impact on my own driving habits, prompting me to be more vigilant and cautious behind the wheel.
Thats what I was just thinking. Maybe try slowing down a bit and honking the horn. I mean it’s not only the canmers fault cause the other jack ass should’ve been looking but come on now.
i like how he claims the dashcam makes it appear like he could’ve avoided it, but he apparently couldn’t see. actually dude, the dashcam would have a worse angle than you, because it’s closer to the right side. you had a perfect view.
12:30 Cammer and passenger are literally the worst possible people. Putting aside the person actually in the accident and who caused it... these observers are in the far left lane, cruising along, where they shouldn't be to begin with. Then, instead of letting the pedestrian cross the road to check the condition of the other driver, they honk. Finally, they don't even stop "let them do what they're going to do." Dude is giving her advice the whole time, like he's some kind of confident wise individual, when he's just an asshole.
Yeah that was very baffling to watch. The guy basically told her to slow down to a crawl in the fast lane when they a) weren’t anywhere near the accident and b) should’ve pulled off to the shoulder if they were going to come to an almost dead stop. Their shitty driving could’ve killed that guy trying to cross the highway to check the driver
sadly people like them cause accidents and secondary accidents, then blame everyone else for their own bad driving. Everything that old guy said was wrong, nearly causing more accidents.
I was in a minor fender bender last week, and even though everyone was fine, it was such a stressful experience. It's a reminder to stay calm and alert at all times
9:37 the way that that driver doesn't even hesitate before doing a u-turn and fleeing the scene is so infuriating. You might have just killed someone for all you know and your first though is to just drive away.
Dangerous and reckless drivers are bad enough, but people who do a hit and run are just flat out cowards. They're too scared to take responsibility for what they did so they run away. It's absolutely disgusting behavior.
I love that this video includes statements from the witnesses and/or drivers, and (sometimes) the outcome; I’ve never seen a video with this, and it really adds to the footage. Thank you!
a lot are just from the cammers perspective and many times not even true statements. just to make the cammer look better! I certainly dont believe all the statements, seen a few where it says the cammer was not at fault when clearly he was. So obviously they are not true. Just dumb drivers thinking they are in the right and adding statements to suit their story
29:13 "From my view I barely had time to react" Unless your "view" was somewhere other than on the road, you had 6 seconds (28:58 to 20:04) from the time he started rolling out until you hit him at all of 4mph.
I'm constantly watching these videos to remind myself of how important it is to stay focused 100 percent and no matter what don't ever get distracted not even for a second or two while driving and don't rely on other drivers to see you when you're driving/walking/crossing as most people can't wait till they get home and reply to a text message, please be careful and stay safe y'all.
Nobody can stay focused 100% of the time, it's impossible. But you can be conscious of yourself and where your attention is and actively monitor yourself to quickly correct any loss of attention. Being a good driver sadly has very little to do with your own driving and much more to do with being able to navigate everyone else. If in doubt, stop. Hang back, slow down, and see what happens before you decide to act. Pull over if you're really uncertain, you can always start your journey again later. If something looks dangerous it probably is. We have natural instincts for a reason but many of us ignore them. Don't. As you say, most people genuinely could not care less about you or your life, their only focus is their needs, so don't put your life in their hands. Almost all accidents can be easily avoided if you give yourself time and space to think before you act.
A lot of these accidents could have been avoided if drivers would have been more courteous, practiced defensive driving, and or slowed sooner- just because you’re not at fault doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to avoid it!
Such an idea is completely lost on today's drivers. "I have the right of way!" syndrome has helped remove all civility... but they might hold the door for you at 7-11... go figure.
exactly, pretty much everyone of the crashes at 4 way junctions could have been avoided "Its a green light for me so I shall just go full speed ahead and hope the other person realises their mistake and avoids me"
This happens often when people drive in the right lane on a highway the floor it when someone merges on to the highway. Haha happened to me last week- guy floored it to 80 mph as I was entering from the exit I took from the highway and if I stopped or jerked back mid-merge it would have put me in the wall. Dude honked his horn and put his brights on for “revenge” and I just turned my music up and flipped the read mirror down so I didn’t have to see him lol
Never worth it. Hit the person who caused the accident. So many of these instances a completely unrelated car gets totaled and the person who caused the accident drives away because someone tried to avoid hitting them and hit someone else instead.
@@liamfader-gibson1633 That's not how it works. You "avoid" by recognizing the situation, and taking corrective action before your in jeopardy. It's called "situation awareness" in aviation. It's not about swerving to avoid a collision that then escalates into a domino effect of more collisions. Slowing down, or moving over to allow traffic to merge is a good example of avoiding. Looking both ways before entering an intersection, regardless of a green light, is another. In Chi Chi's example, it's allowing aggressive drivers to pass you, regardless of your right of way. You want assholes, morons, and no skill drivers in front of you where it's easier to see (and avoid) their bad behavior. Cars are not cheap, and they allow unprecedented freedom of movement. Defensive driving not only saves your expensive car/truck from damage, but it also prevents injury (some that could be permanent or disabling for a life time), and even death. There is no cure for death.. and think about those you would leave behind and the impact that would have. Driving is serious.
After dealing with my own accident ive learned the more damage you see in the accident typically the less injuries to the occupants. My own car barely crumpled but my back and shoulders remained thrashed 10 years later
28:59 "the weird angle makes it look like I could have avoided this" No, buddy, it's the 6 seconds and the 5 parked cars you slowly passed without even a brake tap that makes think you could have avoided that, lmao.
A lot of the people in the comment section will defend him. Saying that he doesn’t have to avoid the accident which is complete BS. It is both parties responsibility to make an attempt to avoid an accident. Whether it be applying the brakes, or swerving to avoid an accident.
I feel like the only possible explanation for the horrendously-inaccurate subtitled commentary in this video, is that it was cut and edited by a 15 year old with a learning permit just to piss off viewers who actually have driving experience. 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Most semi drivers are on drugs to keep them up driving longer... this happened in Vietnam where a semi driver was on cocaine to keep him from sleeping but he hit like 30 ppl at a red light... Real sad. The news even mentioned one of the dude killed was very poor and he had just started a job to take care of his family or something.
That first clip seems like it’s right out of final destination, but on a more serious note, it’s crazy that the mistake of one driver can impact so many other people
As scary and freaky as these videos are, its always nice seeing people running to help after an accident. Its a good reminder that even though there are unhinged maniacs out there, there are also good humans:)
When you start to hydroplane on standing water with front wheel drive, never lift your foot from the accelerator. The braking force of the deceleration causes the rear wheels to rotate around the front wheels. A loss of control\spin results. As unnatural as it might seem, regaining control with front wheel drive, requires additional light-throttle, while steering in the direction you want the vehicle to go. I learned this the hard way. Now, you don't have to.
Braking isn't terrible if you're already in a fish tail if it's done while your tires are in line, but you gotta be prepped for the counter whip and may want to accelerate at that point, but slowing down as much as possible never hurt anyone... If done correctly.
He made me really mad screaming and freaking out over an accident he had complete ability to avoid. Also anyone that gets that angry over minor accidents is very irritating to me lol
Maybe they are not in a position to stop. On their way to work or an appointment. It doesn’t mean they don’t have good intentions. Also a lot of people wouldn’t know what to do at an accident and if they move someone who is injured, the wrong way it could make the injury worse. Best they can do is call for help.
8:27 is a prime example of why you should never stop to let someone make a turn across traffic. They cannot see if any cars are coming in the other lanes or know if they are going to stop like the one lane did. It puts them in more danger thinking it's okay to make that turn.
There have been times where I stopped because stopped traffic ahead of me would've meant that proceeding forward would've left me blocking an intersection, which you're not supposed to do where I live. When I see someone trying to turn from the other side, I'll watch my mirror on the right and honk real long if someone's coming, or flash my headlights if it's clear (and I mean only TOTALLY clear). I really *don't* want to get involved either way, but it's better than letting an accident happen.
13:36 I swear some drivers have no self-awareness or defensive skills. When you see a car driving erratically and the driver flipping people off why would you get behind them and accelerate up to them if they're crazy!? Tye canmer was just as guilty as the erratic driver.
I do, but I drive an F-350 with a full replacement Ali Arc bumper. They quit fucking around when I get behind them and they see my bumper because when I hit them there are no dents to my truck, only theirs,😂😂😂
I don't do it to innocent people, just the douches that cut you off, won't let you in or try and brake check you. My brakes don't work very good in that situation but my bumper sure does, ha! Don't drive like a douche and you won't have to worry about it👍
29:21 could have avoided it, if you were paying attention. A small honk of the horn while he was backing up for about 5 seconds before you hit him. In my opinion cammer is at fault for hitting the one clearly backing out of a spot
I got 4 progressively angry stops out before he drove into the car backing out. Here's a hint though, before starting to reverse, give your blinkers a flick to draw attention (triple tap if you don't have orange blinkers). Not as good as a 360 cam but always have enough room to back out when there's a car coming and sees it in time.
The angle shown from the dashcam's view is different from the angle that the driver has. The cam is way up on the windshield, which makes it appear that the driver has clear view of everything in front of him. Also, a lot of cams have a fisheye lens, which gives a more broad view from it's pov, but again, the driver does not share this view, sitting 2+ feet away from where it's set.
@@TheOnlyBowl that lady was basically half way out of her spot by the time he even noticed. Regardless of the camera and it’s position, there is no way he couldn’t have seen her. He had to be sitting on his phone and didn’t see her until it was too late.
@@TheOnlyBowl right, cause you are locked into tunnel vision and can't see the whole windshield at once while driving, not to mention expecting cars to be backing out of spaces......right?
Right? He's being passed on the outside by said car @ 13:37. If he had just let that pass and stayed back, that'd probably have been the end of it. Instead he speeds up towards the other car, which then brake checks. He then pulls to the outside and seemingly attempts to PIT maneuver the car, almost loses control because of it and then finally road rage accelerates to pass it. There were so many other choices the cammer could've made during this whole ordeal. Playing it off like "my hands were forced" is just self-delusional. I also don't understand how police seeing said footage "saved him." Had I been police and been shown that clip, I'd have given him all kinds of shit for the driving he did. Same if I were an insurance agent.
Exactly what my girlfriend and I thought. There are a lot of fucking cry babies in this video that cry about being the victim but do nothing to prevent it from happening..

Agreed. Trying to look at it from the outside. If the cop had to play Devils Advocate and say, since the cammer was in a lane, and changing lanes. But the road rager was driving the curb. That would put the cammer in the right. But given how you should always deescalate any road rage situation, and not egg it on like he did. They should both be 50/50'd for the result. The cammer should've gotten off the ass of the rager and just gave him room, so he could "feel satisfied he won." Instead, they wound up with this mess. "oh, my hands were forced." That's bullshit.
11:41 This is why you should (almost) never swerve left, it turns an accident that would just result in a way less serious rear end accident that's not your fault into a life threatening head on collision. Be safe people.
In The Netherlands it's actually in your theoretical knowledge book (you need to pass a theoretical test about traffic rules before you can go up for your practical exam). "Attention! Be aware that no one is as good a driver as you! You will have to account for the errors of others continuously. Failure to do so is a felony." It was also quite a big part of driving school, and I wonder if some situations in these video's could've been prevented with that type of lessons: some of the situations are being approached with absolutely no doubt, whereas here your driving instructor would've pushed the brakes upon approaching a T-crossing with someone wanting to turn on the main road while having to yield. "Always expect someone to have looked right of them for the last time and missing you. Always take your foot of the gas and be ready to make an emergency brake application when driving up to such situations." (But then again, the road design is also what causes the accident-prone nature of driving in the US).
she got extremely lucky usually a hit at those speeds from a Loaded 18 Wheeler with that extent of damage is a Fatality so her Car and a lot of other things saved her
@@tommyshelby4803 she got super lucky I thought for sure when I saw that hit at those speeds by a 18 wheeler she was DOA but to get away with only a broken arm that is amazing
Moral of the story: unless signs are posted stating otherwise, do not stop to let cars turn left in front of you, especially when they need to cross multiple lanes with obstructed vision. It's a dangerous (and usually illegal) courtesy. Not only that, it adversely affects traffic flow, which can cause a chain reaction behind you. I can't even count the number of times I've seen a gap large enough for five or six cars to safely turn, but instead, some good Samaritan stops to let one car out. That car hesitates a few times before turning because the Samaritan is blocking the other lanes, and by the time the Samaritan starts to move again, the gap behind him has closed entirely. The other cars waiting are now stuck even longer. Conversely, do not blindly cross multiple lanes of traffic even if someone is trying to be nice and let you through. I'd rather turn right and find a place to turn around than to play Frogger with a car.
A complicating factor is the "do not block intersection" sign. I have seen two out of three lanes stop to leave a gap so that the intersection is not blocked, only for a driver from the opposing lane cut through and get whanged by the third lane, where traffic was was still flowing.
This When I was still new to driving I made this mistake a couple times, both as the giver and receiver. Pretty quickly realized not to do this after a close call but I still see many people on the road so it
@@rogerhorky7258 You're absolutely right. But to me, that's poor planning by the city. If there is an intersection that is blocked regularly, they should add appropriate traffic controls to adjust the traffic flow.
I was always under the impression that the average speed limit in the U.S. was 55mph. In nearly all of these clips it seems like ppl be doing a lot more than that. Especially the very first one.
@@Bubba1960. That guy SPED UP once he realized the van was pulling out. It's an ego thing, you pull out in front of me and I'm hitting you on purpose, kind of mentality. Absolute idiot.
@@Bubba1960. the speed limit is 80mph on many freeways in many states. 65 or 70mph is a very typical freeway speed limit, parkways are usually around 45-60mph. Residential streets are 25mph. City streets are usually 35mph +/- 5mph. State highways usually range from 40-45mph when they’re through an area that’s well populated w/ businesses or residences and then 50-60mph on empty stretches. It really depends where you live too. When I lived in Montana, the freeway speed limit was 80mph unless driving past a city where it’d slow to 70mph, driving around town it was 35-45mph. I drove to Montana from Las Vegas and the speed limit was 80mph nearly the entire drive through multiple states lol. But like in Northern California the freeway limit is 65mph or 70mph. Parkways are 50-55, and same as MT driving around town (35-45mph). So it all really depends lol
14:00 - This is obviously completely avoidable, but they were both raging and the cammer intentionally hit the white car. If I was deciding this case, it'd be 50/50 and you'd both go pay for your own cars with points on your licenses. Totally egregious.
@@YourSuperiori don’t think they meant to turn into oncoming traffic, they were just trying to avoid hitting the white truck, who caused the entire accident in the first place. he should pay for the damages to both the other truck and car.
@@eneri_444 it's better to hit someone in the back than to turn into oncoming traffic and get a head on collision, whether they were trying to avoid the white truck or not, there's no excuse to ever turn into traffic. I'll admit that the white truck shouldn't have just pulled out, but when you're on a busy street, you have to expect stuff like that, and the black truck had PLENTY of time to slow down and stop, but they panicked and swerved into traffic which they could have killed themselves and more.
I love it when people try to paint themselves as victims when there's clear cut evidence that they enabled the situation. Bonus points when it's their own recording and they willingly post it publicly.
@@Chris_de_S I just feel bad for the victims in these "accidents". It would be much easier for them to prove fault if they have video evidence of the event.
@baboo I mean so far Matt referred specifically to "prove fault" in which case the driver in that hit and run did send the evidence to the police, so he did all he could. If Matt's argument was more towards injuries then that would make sense.
My job fired a guy for being late to work because he had an accident right in front of our building... His first words were "should I go clock in?" So, I can see why some of them wouldn't stick around for some of these accidents.
29:00 uh, you DID have time to avoid this. No excuse. The guy backing out might have been an asshole, but in a parking lot like that, you need to be paying attention.
How in the world is the guy who was backing out an asshole? They could clearly not see the car coming as it was in their blindspot. And the cammer was clearly using their phone. So I guess that makes the the guy backing out an asshole, huh? What kind of logic does people have nowadays...
28:59 This guy filming had plenty of time to see her backing out and never once stopped or even honked his horn? I'm not saying the lady backing out did nothing wrong, but he literally saw her backing out and just kept going. It's almost like he was sitting there waiting for someone to back out... Or he just wasn't paying attention.
8:18 my dad always told me to keep cool when in an accident. That’s what insurance is there for: to handle the damages. Probably the lady was very attached to her vehicle or is extremely upset about having to go thru insurance proceedings, rentals, etc. but in all honesty going crazy won’t reverse any damage. It’s already done.
Some people just snap because this is the last thing they need. I understand her frustration but also agree that we have to do our best to remain calm in these situations. I'd be thankful to walk away unharmed. My vehicle can always be replaced - my life can't.
a driver who sees a car leaving the parking lot and despite the fact that it is driving slowly does not even think of giving way to it, is a beast. where is the respect and tolerance?
As stated, cammer had a weird angle. Now, you and I had a common sense angle that showed this accident could have been avoided..............if the cammer would have been using the same common sense angle.
Goes onto accuse her of having a stolen trailer tag, and leaving the scene without showing evidence of leaving the scene. I know insurance varies from state to state, but here all full coverage does is pay to have your car fixed if you're found to be at fault.
I know lol they drove out so slowly to look for drivers and he was in their blind spot, it's his responsibility to be aware of cars, especially if they have reverse lights on
THIS was the most ridiculous clip of them all. I think dude wanted insurance money. He was rolling slow enough as if he was slowing to allow her to leave so he could park there.
I like watching these because i feel like it awakens my hidden sense and when I drive, I just get these gut feelings that tell me to be cautious. And usually I catch myself avoiding either sketchy drivers, cops fishing, random people, or animals running across the street. It’s like when I drive, my brain spaces out and when I feel like I’m watching a dash cam with my own eyes, I go full alert.
It's good to be so alert behind the wheel. My father ALWAYS stressed to me "watch out for the other guy". So I do the same when I drive. I'm on hyper alert mode.
28:58 Everyone sees van backing out of spot . . . cammer is moving about 5 mph . . . "Hey cammer, you going to stop?" 7 seconds later . . . Thomas McDill "WHOA WHA . . . WHAT THE . . . " Hey Thomas? Maybe you should pay more attention to what's in front of you than what's on your phone.

and his dumbass comment "everyone saying I could've stopped, the angle of the camera is blah blah fkn blah...". I don't care what the angle was...point is you literally had like 9 seconds to stop and you didn't. That straight up shouldn't even be the lady's fault at that point. lol
28:58 ok, that was minimum 5 seconds of the truck backing out, and when it started the car was about 15yardaway, so he had plenty of time to react. I dont like guessing in these cases, but he was probably distracted, maybe phone or radio, since the music stopped right at the beginning of the video. Or he was just looking anywhere else but what is right in front of his car
Totally agree, no reason to run into the vehicle backing out if you have that much time to see them coming. It's just a lack of common courtesy to not let someone out of a parking spot.
You know what really helps the aftermath of an accident? Climbing out of your wrecked car and screaming obscenities at everyone involved without knowing what happened. Brilliant.
The guy that recorded it is useless. He watched it happened, seen it was a lady and kept driving. If I see an accident (not just a little fender bender) I will always pull over, if I see the people get out they are most likely ok, if they don't I will check on them. especially if it's a lady or a lady with kids. How can any male see that and just drive on by?
So, I used to drive for Uber. I was going to pick someone up, and there was a 4 lane road. Far right is right turn only, second from right is straight ahead, far left was left turn only, and second from left was straight OR left turn. It is 2am. I am in the second from the left lane, going to turn, stopped at a red. A car pulls into the far right lane, right blinker on. It was dark, so I could see it flashing. Out of nowhere, she just turns left from a stop, far right lane, and hits me across two lanes. No idea what she was trying to do. Uninsured, too. So that was neat.
20:07 what an absolute legend this guy is, perfectly calm, not even a trace of fright in his voice... I wish to have this ability in traffic with all those idiots who should not be driving in the first place
The video footage--yes, definitely...but the captioned explanations should be deleted so a qualified instructor can explain what's really happening without completely shitting the bed like the guy who made this video did.
@@zzz6valvoline Yes. Again, like I just said--the video footage is quality. Gore is impactful...but simply showing new drivers gory footage isn't teaching them anything about how to actually avoid those types of dangerous collisions--that's what driving instructors are for.

Either distracted or intentional. I can't really tell from this video. Which makes me think that the "stolen tags" comment might be BS as well. Either trying to paint the other party as bad of a person as possible to win in the court of public opinion or claiming that the tags are stolen cause he never filed any report. But that's just speculation.
he’s definitely on his phone, but i don’t doubt the angle part. dash cams are usually right, forward, and up a few feet from your eyes. my cam catches many things that i can’t see. now how far could he see it? who knows.
Just putting it out there - he didn't say it wasn't centered, he said it was a weird angle. From the looks of it, it's a wide-angle lens. It may have been more proper to say the view is slightly distorted because of the wide-angle feature. My Captain hindsight keyboard view says it appears he had plenty of time to stop. Sure, he had the right of way, but sometimes it's best just to let them go.

That first clip. I watched it like three times. And even if they had pulled out immediately and floored it maybe they could have made it past both miraciously but they waited until both cars were so close!!!!! Like why?!? WHY?!?!😭😭😭😭
The shock and rage in the voice at 8:10 is a bit terrifying, but justifiable... glad to hear it doesn't sound like there were *amazingly* any serious injuries, especially at that kind of speed. ...that being said, I can't help but laugh when the fight bell sound plays on the radio
Yeah. F that guy in the gray truck. Literally caused more damage to his truck than he would’ve just rear ending the white truck and injured two others and destroyed another car. What an idiot.
@@greenpark6385 And the way that asshole in the white truck just drives off and goes about their day after causing an accident like that. So many of these vids on this channel have an asshole like that.
23:59 Definitely was your fault though. From the looks of the video the guy that "swerved into your lane" was trying to avoid hitting the guy in front of him because the light changed so fast he had no time to not hit him. Meanwhile it looks like you barely even braked and slid right into him. Insurance was right on the first claim, you were 100% at fault.
Look closely, you can see how late he hit the brakes, no way his shitbox could stop like this in time, while it was generally quite possible... Probably not even proper tires in use, for that season!
i had winter tires. and I didn't hit him because i didn't brake enough i hit him because he pulled in front of me without a signal, which led to wheels locking up. I applied braking pressure and speed with the expectation that my lane would be clear. had he signaled earlier i would know to stop earlier. he had the ability to swerve into another free lane to avoid the car in front but I didn't. if you think i'm at fault you are probably one of those drivers not using their indicators thinking it is ok do do such maneuvers on the road.
@Dunder Mifflin yea of course i could have gone slower, as literally all accidents could be avoided this way. but there is a reason my wheels locked up because he pulled in front of me without indicating which made me brake harder than i was originally intending to. it is possible i wouldve slid into the cross walk, but not by much since i slid into him at less than 10km/h. and again my wheels likely wouldnt have locked up had i not increased my braking pressure so suddenly from the other guy and would have been able to brake more smoothly and efficiently. like I said before insurance final decision was that I hit him because he committed traffic violations, not because i was 'going too fast for conditions'. I'm not trying to argue here, just giving the facts. I'm obviously still going to be driving more carefully even though i won my claim.
29:24 cammer was def at fault you can literally hear the clicking noises when you're texting someone coming from him also wtf was the point of the extreme description of the lady 💀💀
I think you’re right about the texting. But they both were at fault. The car should have made sure the coast was clear before backing up. And the cammer (despite what they said) had enough time to stop it at least honk. They weren’t paying attention and that’s why they reacted so loudly when the cars collided. Cammer didn’t see the car backing up.
@@Sweetheartbabez Sometimes you can’t see around the cars next to you when backing up so you have to slowly and carefully back up blindly until you can actually see to your sides.
13:34 He says the video saved him. What may have saved him a lot more was to not follow the Honda. He changed lanes and sped up aggressively. Had he just slowed down, backed off and stayed in his lane, chances are he would not have been involved in a collision. Drive defensively!
yeah this guy is a trash driver. uploader should have never put his dialog in it. He says he as full coverage so he knows he can hit an uninsured driver and be covered. Probably never shared this video with the insurance company
Alot of clips where the accident is also the dashcam drivers fault. 28:58 guy had a total of 5 whole seconds going at a whopping 5mph to stop yet continued until he hit the guy backing out of the parking space, then proceeds to flip his lid like this is the most outrageous thing to ever happen to him 🤦♂️ It almost felt like he either wasn't watching the road in front of him at all or was trying to scam the guy pulling out
Three categories...not paying attention, running red/yellow lights, driving way to close to the car infront of them. I was warned when I first got my license, have your head on a swivel, cause even if you do everything right, there's idiots on the road who won't, smdh!

look up rockyphonky69. his compilations are insane, most of the crashes he does are fatal. but don’t worry he blurs out the body’s and stuff really well. you might hear some messed up things though.
Yes and no. The driver running the red light is ultimately at fault. Had the light still been yellow, then yes the cammer would've been 100% at fault. But failure to obey a traffic control device is what happened here. Driver entered an intersection on a solid red light with plenty of time to stop. Glad the red light runner received the ticket
@@kylemcconnell378 What?? It was yellow for the cammer so I'm sure it was also yellow for the other car. They are both at fault. The cammer essentially pulled out in front of oncoming traffic.

Re: 19:11, the truck driver definitely is at fault for not checking his blind spots, but the cam driver 100% had enough time to brake after realizing the truck was coming over. This was entirely avoidable
While this could have been avoided by one or both parties, the truck did fail to signal PROPERLY. I actually had to watch it again. He blinks twice when he's already engaged the maneuver to change lanes. Two blinks and a quick merge is enough to cause a weak-minded driver to panic. Or in this case, an oblivious one.
Right. I don’t understand people that put on their blinker for 1 sec when they’re already merging into the lane and think that’s enough time for the person behind them to react. His blinker doesn’t automatically give him the right of way lmao

@@jessieharbinjr.6589 Holy shit I didn't catch that, it almost looked as if the cammer was trying to block him from passing!
I've actually noticed myself driving better after watching enough of these. 🙂

When you start to hydroplane on standing water with front wheel drive,
never lift your foot from the accelerator.
Hi - do I accelerate more or just maintain the pressure I held on it before hydroplaning? Hurricane season in Hawaii is here :')
@@JensengTea Both A bit. 👍
Also, don't try to turn the car too much out of the direction it wants to go.
Braking isn't terrible if you're already in a fish tail if it's done while your tires are in line, but you gotta be prepped for the counter whip and may want to accelerate at that point, but slowing down as much as possible never hurt anyone... If done correctly.

That guy’s an idiot. I swear people just buy a dash cam and are desperate to get into an accident.
Its amazing just how many people that have dash cams won't stop when they witness an accident and just keep driving!!!! What wonderful human beings
Where I live if you do this you can be at fault just as much as the people who wrecked. I don't do this and get cussed out every time by people.

29:21 could have avoided it, if you were paying attention. A small honk of the horn while he was backing up for about 5 seconds before you hit him. In my opinion cammer is at fault for hitting the one clearly backing out of a spot
For sure I was watching the whole time like “there’s no way you’re about to hit them”
I got 4 progressively angry stops out before he drove into the car backing out.

Especially as the cammer drove _UNDER_ said wires???
14:00 Correction - "I had every chance of avoiding him but I purposely kept my foot on the accelerator to get revenge by hitting him."

Best lesson I learned in my defensive driving course. “Assume every driver on the road is a moron, including yourself” 😂
You were taught well. I assume the same when on the road.
Yes!!
Similar mentality when being taught riding a motorcycle but worded differently. ''Assume people dont see you and position your self accordingly''
Morons are the ones giving licenses away like it is a park ticket. Plus there is no real accountability for driving like a maniac.
In The Netherlands it's actually in your theoretical knowledge book (you need to pass a theoretical test about traffic rules before you can go up for your practical exam).
"Attention! Be aware that no one is as good a driver as you! You will have to account for the errors of others continuously. Failure to do so is a felony."
It was also quite a big part of driving school, and I wonder if some situations in these video's could've been prevented with that type of lessons: some of the situations are being approached with absolutely no doubt, whereas here your driving instructor would've pushed the brakes upon approaching a T-crossing with someone wanting to turn on the main road while having to yield.
"Always expect someone to have looked right of them for the last time and missing you. Always take your foot of the gas and be ready to make an emergency brake application when driving up to such situations."
(But then again, the road design is also what causes the accident-prone nature of driving in the US).

Dude, actual details and outcomes regarding the accidents?! You rock dude, total legend!
I feel like this should be a mandatory viewing in all drivers education classes to show people that stuff like this can happen in a millisecond.
The video footage--yes, definitely...but the captioned explanations should be deleted so a qualified instructor can explain what's really happening without completely shitting the bed like the guy who made this video did.
They already show Red Asphalt. That's probably more impactful.
@@zzz6valvoline Yes. Again, like I just said--the video footage is quality. Gore is impactful...but simply showing new drivers gory footage isn't teaching them anything about how to actually avoid those types of dangerous collisions--that's what driving instructors are for.

He was distracted and they were backing up before he left his stop sign
You can hear him on his phone
There is no weird angle, the cam is centered clearly 🙄
I hope they see the video and get you for it
Either distracted or intentional. I can't really tell from this video. Which makes me think that the "stolen tags" comment might be BS as well. Either trying to paint the other party as bad of a person as possible to win in the court of public opinion or claiming that the tags are stolen cause he never filed any report. But that's just speculation.
he’s definitely on his phone, but i don’t doubt the angle part. dash cams are usually right, forward, and up a few feet from your eyes. my cam catches many things that i can’t see. now how far could he see it? who knows.
To be honest, it doesn't look like she has any backup lights working.

And each time i wondered how the heck did that driver look left, right, left and then think "oh there's not one, but TWO speeding cars coming right my way and taking up TWO lanes so even if i could floor it and JUST make it past the first car in the closest land I definitely can't make it past the second speeding car." And even if they had pulled out immediately and floored it maybe they could have made it past both miraciously but they waited until both cars were so close!!!!! Like why?!? WHY?!?!😭😭😭😭

11:45 and this is why you never swerve to dodge an idiot driver, especially into oncoming traffic. You could end up causing a worse accident.
yeah seriously, im surprised it wasnt a fatal accident
Yeah just hit the idiot and not someone else who doesn’t deserve that
I feel bad for the person minding their own business driving in their own lane and then somebody swerved in front of them and hit them head on
Thanks, we appreciate being able to read notations of the accidents summaries.
Was looking for this comment, it definitely looks like the cammer's fault
I agree. I get that it was icy, but the cammer was far enough back that they should have been able to avoid rear ending that person.
29:24 cammer was def at fault
you can literally hear the clicking noises when you're texting someone coming from him
also wtf was the point of the extreme description of the lady 💀💀
Can totally hear the moron using his phone. And I think the description was because she allegedly had illegal plates, maybe to get a BOLO out there.
It would have come out a lot better if the camera was watching what was happening ahead of him.
@@Sweetheartbabez Sometimes you can’t see around the cars next to you when backing up so you have to slowly and carefully back up blindly until you can actually see to your sides.
Abigail you need an extreme description. Enchantingly mesmerizing, exuding exoticness and enigmatically captivating.
13:34 He says the video saved him. What may have saved him a lot more was to not follow the Honda. He changed lanes and sped up aggressively. Had he just slowed down, backed off and stayed in his lane, chances are he would not have been involved in a collision.

yeah this guy is a trash driver. uploader should have never put his dialog in it.

17:32 - Yeah, the guy coming the other way ran the red, but the cammer also failed to yield. Both vehicles should share blame on that one.
Agreed I saw that too

@@AshleyMintz You can clearly see the light flip to red a full second or two before the red car entered the intersection lol.
