Killing Time in The Crystal City- Jack's bass work seems best on Bowlegged Woman and Funky#7. Fan since I saw a live show at The Academy of Music in NYC --1973 when I was 16. I have spent as much time listening to Jorma/ Hot Tuna as all other music combined. I'm addicted!

This show last night was fantastic. A classic Hot Tuna concert. Still jamming out after all these years. Took me back to the 70’s and the live concerts I remember. Thank you all!!

Thanks folks! I had the pleasure of seeing Electric Hot Tuna at Memorial Auditorium in Burlington VT back in '91. Double Bill with Bob Weir. F'kin ROCKIN show! I can attest to the HIGH level of "electric vibes" that night! Praise the Lord and Pass the Orange Sunshine!
Great show tonight guys! What amazes me is if you just listen to just the audio alone, Jorma & Jack still sound the same as they did in the 70's. Same energy and passion in the playing.
Funky no# 7. Man I wore out Americas choice with this song.. Jorma and Jack still cooking. Jorma where in Suomi did you guys kick back. Great to see you guys still in action.
Simply fabulous! Many thanks for playing & sharing this. Just discovered this series and though I've missed all the previous concerts I'll be paying attention henceforth. Love from Colorado.
There was a deep connection between Steve Miller and Les Paul: Steve Miller's parents were maid of honor and best man when Les Paul married Mary Ford. We saw Les Paul years ago in a small basement club in NY where he did a weekly show. Steve Miller was there and sat in on a few standards. That's when Les told that story ( he told great stories as much as great guitar ).
I cannot begin to express my deep gratitude to Jorma & 'Nessa and the whole crew at Fur Peace Ranch for these shows. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
What a massive solo Jack does in Funky! Show those college kids how it's done--from sweet to snarling and back! The snarl and tone reminds me of John Wetton's killer bass work in King Crimson's album, Red.
@Robert Accorsini Believe that is because Jack plays an electric bass when Justin is drumming, and an acoustic bass when he is not. Can't play his thunder on an acoustic bass. I agree and much prefer to hear him play an electric bass where his skill is much more obvious! Jack played extremely well this show!
Thank you Jorma and Vanessa and entire Fur Peace Ranch for unforgettable times in a otherwise forgettable year! Highlights for me on this night were Trial, Stainless Cymbal, and Funky #7!!! Many thanks on this very special Thanksgiving show!
Encore debouts ces deux anciens jeunes ! Touchant !
Mighty delightful ~ I had a lot of pain after the holiday (yes-have cbd oil) ...loading up firewood, fixing door at moms Thanksgiving. Thank you for the invite through "Jefferson Airplane loves you" site on fb -Bradford! Feeling much better now!

I would buy tickets for both the early and late show every time Tuna played at The Academy of Music in NYC.Made a long night of music. Didn't even need to go outside between shows.
Cool little tid bit about the wha wah pedal Jorma uses. Didn't know that it was a Thomas organ pedal. And the cool part,he gave one of his five to my cousin's wife. How cool and it's such a Jorma thing to do.
I guess practicing next door to the Fillmore that would have been the Temple Beautiful which was a great venue. I worked there during the early punk era and I actually talked to Jack there one night -maybe in 81' (?) Thanks for all the good times!
It's only dawned on me after 5 hours sleep, that there were no stories between the songs, i'm so used to getting some questions and answers in the quarintine shows, when I couldn't hear what was being said I thought there was a fault. Only fault was with my tired brain. Great electric show guys and sorry for complaining about nothing😂😂😨😨
The traditional post-Thanksgiving Tuna show at the Beacon/Town Hall is one of my favorite nights of the year. This was a very nice consolation prize, indeed! Thank you guys SO much! And, oh...was I hallucinating without the use of drugs last night, or did I in fact see an electric version of "Highway Song"?!?!
@Elia Nu Oh, OK! I wasn't aware that there was a reissue. Purchased my copy many years ago, shortly after first available. Listened to the tune on the Internet, good song, I can see why Jorma added it.
@@brianht1434 Yeah just the way the wind blew but I still love Jorma and Jack. You can take the boy out of San Francisco but you cant take San Francisco out of the boy. Even if he is all greyed over. Peace
@brd400 Remember back in the 70's the speakers were stacked sky high! Left the show with my ears ringing, difficult to hear for a while, loved it, no such thing as too loud!
Great concert, as usual. Thanks. However, tonight the microphone balance wasn't good. Between songs, I could barely hear Jorma talking at the mike, and Vanessa's mike was even lower. I had to crank up my volume control to about 11 to hear them. But during the songs, that level wanted to blast apart my speakers, so I had to turn it down to about 5. Sorry to nit-pick, but this was annoying, and it hasn't happened before tonight (I've listened to every one of these!).
Oh hell, yes. Grateful just doesn't cover it. Thank you folks for being here for all of us. What a gift. Way beyond generous.
Funky#7 to end the show 133:22 was incredible! Jack played absolutely terrific!
There aren’t too many who have enjoy playing like Jorma and Jack 60 + years. Never fail to deliver
@KD ATBAT Who else played at Woodstock, N.Y. in 1969 and still goes on tour? Nobody else that I can think of!

Without an electric Hot Tuna show tonight, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, I'd be lost and now I am found.
i'd be blind, but now am rantoul.

Yes..Outstanding show tonight. Thank you! 🎶🎸🎸🎸🎵😊 Hot F'n Tuna!
Love my Saturday nights with FPR. I had a VW Westfalia in the 90s, I think it was a 78 model. Coolest vehicle I've ever had. Wore it out.
Watched it live back then and coming back for some more ELECTRIC HOT TUNA! YES I am re-energized.
Simply fabulous! Many thanks for playing & sharing this. Just discovered this series and though I've missed all the previous concerts I'll be paying attention henceforth. Love from Colorado.
Twenty eight! Don’t be late; lite ‘em if ya got them-FHT!
BRAVO!!!!
VW microbus...NICE ! Jack used to have that microbus look, like on the back cover of the Burgers album.

Funky#7 live in concert is always one of the best tunes of the show.Longer the version the better!
I have watched every Quarantine Concert and Jack plays much better with Justin there.

The setlist chosen for this show was beyond excellent!
Howdy from the Ozarks! Peace to All!
Thank you all at FPR for everything y’all do. Very grateful.
This is so lovely! It can be challenging to keep going with our own creative pursuits, but this is definitely an inspiration for my music.
Cool little tid bit about the wha wah pedal Jorma uses. Didn't know that it was a Thomas organ pedal. And the cool part,he gave one of his five to my cousin's wife. How cool and it's such a Jorma thing to do.

Fantastic group, amazing sound!
@@brianht1434 You are a lucky man! :)
@Cicero Jr. Thanks much! Was only 16 in 1973 and had to be driven to the train by my friend's mom, all too young to drive.

Love that heavy thunder ..under
I have seen them introduce the band and in part say " The thunderous Jack Casady " !
This sure is special. "Plugged" as they say. Happy Thanksgiving to all
Jorma? Who was the most influential band On your style between 1969 and 1975? Have you ever been interested on jazz? Jazz rock...jazz fusion?
sounding great through my Spark amp
I wish to listen "Barrier" live once, it was on Quah

Great !!!!
FTW Electric Hot Tuna!
Electric Hot Tuna tonight at 8...Be there!...
Jack!
I forgot it was Saturday.
sounded like Gospel Airplane...
What is that GOLD bass that Jack is playing???
Epiphone Jack Casady signature model. You used to be able to buy them direct from Jack set up to his specs. Don't know if he still does that.
Does electrification get the Tuna all hotted up?
I love the acoustic tunes, but prefer the all hotted up electric shows!
