    Love this video... so I'll start with this... I'm actually cross shopping in the pre-owned market of 992 C2/4S variants and the 991.2 GTS. Having driven both, I love the 992 and liked the GTS. I would be happy owning either one. The 991.2 gts feeling a little more raw, so to speak. The 992 has a dual personality, which I really love. I can concur with both of their assessments of the car. I owned a 04 GT3 which totally beat me up on public roads and definitely don't want to go back to that again. The problem is that now the prices are the same and if I'm putting my money down, I'm going to buy the newest 911 I can afford. 992 all the way!

      Joe here, thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video. 992 is for me the best looking 911 since 993, it's just perfect to look at and conveys its overarching GT "mindset" (excluding GT3 etc variants) if you will. And the interior is gorgeous as well, very cohesive design inside and out (for example I love the way the horizontal rear light blade speaks to the horizontal planes of the dash). 911's are getting less and less raw, less visceral in some respects (turbo, etc.) but as you say from your experience with the GT3, sometimes people "think" they want the stiffer car and then in daily practice find they'd have been better off with an S/GTS. It'll be interesting to see what engines and specs emerge with the upcoming 992.2 -- I'm kinda hoping they offer a naturally aspirated 6 in a "GTS" spec -- and how production volumes may soften prices a bit, we'll see. Keep us posted on your purchase!

    Hey...I'm a dentist...not sure I appreciate those comments lol! I drove my 911 hard and currently drive my panamera turbo s e-hybrid even harder! Love to get it on the track! Thanks for the video...really enjoyed it! And stop stereotyping! :)

      You're right, it was a cheap shot! Likely not a good idea to be upsetting dentists anyway. Thanks for watching!

    Obviously the 992 4s is a mixture of sport and GT, it's as close to a perfect enthusiast car as you can get and that's why 992's are so expensive. Even with all of the complaints, both of you guy's adrenaline was obviously pumping. decent fuel mileage, 11 sec 1/4 mile, neat looks and comfort...BRAVO Porsche!!!

    The beauty of a 911 is that its the best all rounder sports car you can find. While having a character and an identity all of its own. You are not simply driving a good sports car, you are driving a 911. So if you get addicted to the car, that’s what you want from your 911 : a sports car like no other. A timeless silhouette, the flat-six sound, the global excellency and the sheer thrill to drive, whatever the speed. The 992, all versions included, answers all these expectations. Lucky you 😎

    Enjoyed the video; as the owner of 992 C4S (actually in Aventurine green just like the one you drove :)) with 57k miles happily daily driven and abused every now and again haha. Best 911 I have owned of several. Plan to keep it; car does everything right and EXCELS as a sports car when you become a bit more comfortable. The 4 wheel steering is my only ? Criticism - feels unnatural at the limit although flinging the car on tight turns feels like a damn video game, amazing! Will keep watching you guys and suscribed.

    If you had the streets where I live, you may want a more toned down suspension. The interior on the 992 is superior, too. I’m also used to the grand touring size.

    Daily driveability, and that's it. That is why you buy this car over a GT3, Turbo is the best daily driver but a lot more money.

      We maybe should've had something more visually interesting on the screen like the navi system lol

    I went to a dealer last week to look at a used C4S they have. It had two previous owners. Nice car but it smelled like it had been farted in (actually more like sweat I think). But yeah, seriously, if I’m spending $140K on a used car it can’t smell nasty inside. The dealership should have noticed that. It was the first Porsche I’d driven - I think the size was perfect, small but not claustrophobic. Two things I didn’t like was that part of the navigation screen couldn’t be seen behind the steering wheel (pretty important to see that lol) and the backup camera is worse than my sons Corolla - it’s terrible. I drive a Chevy truck and the backup camera on it is perfect - and it’s 7 years old. BUT, the 911 is just so fun and cool to drive - it’s so raw - I was surprised how raucous it was when I got on it. Going to order a Gentian Blue C2S soon.

    Edelweiss this...99 percent of buyers have no competitive road race driving experience or knowledge. So no matter how most drive on the street.. That'll 6 only get a thing sampling of what a922 can do. Even if out on a closed race track.... Average owners will never'okay the car to it's limited'.. not even by a mile

    • @TheCarCrush
      @TheCarCrush  2 месяца назад

      Sotrue that, and the older I get, the less interested I am in pushing a car to anywhere near its limits on a public road so....I may need to pick back up some track driving!

    You can find a 991.1 gt3 for this money that’s almost out of its 10 yr engine warranty. But you’re not finding a 991.2 gt3 for 160k and if you do, please send me the link.

    991.2 Turbo S is the way to go at that price. I picked a 991.2 Turbo S Cab instead of the 992 whatever

      @@denychangy7386 had it for 4 months can’t be happier!! I had a 991.1 Turbo S coupe before… it was very nice but the 991.2 Turbo S Cab feels so much more refined and with the factory aero kit a proper supercar. I bought it with a titanium catalyst and it’s perfect. I don’t feel the need to go to next generation really.

    • @TheCarCrush
      @TheCarCrush  Год назад

      It’s a Porsche, so, yeah it’s a pricey thing. But if you look at its capabilities, it’s in keeping with the market but with higher resale value than the rest, and one could spec this car closer to 140k without all the extras. Boxster is an incredible sports car and starts closer to 75k with basic equipment so there’s that option too.

      …….there just something about having 911 on your ass…..
      I’d rather have it on my car than in my mirror.
