From Reddit slash ApteraMotors; There are now over 9,100 preorders. Aptera is concentrating more of their attention on getting the vehicles into production than increasing preorders. There will soon be footage of the 3 motor Noir prototype vehicle from a track day in the San Diego area, that will be very exciting. Nikki from Transport Evolved just visited and got a ride - I expect we will see new Aptera content from her shortly. There are now over 140 people around the world in the Ambassador program. Although some of the chip and materials shortages that are affecting manufacturers world wide are also hitting Aptera, progress is continuing, and at the moment they still expect the odds are that they will meet start of delivery at the end of the year. The lack of information regarding fundraising schedules has been extremely frustrating for Aptera, and they have filed the paperwork with the SEC to manage their own fundraising going forward, both for small and larger investors. We may see a new web site going live in 6 weeks or so that will make everything more transparent to everyone. This will also be a center for people to manage and update their own orders, and order Aptera themed swag. The new 2 motor white "Sol" prototype development vehicle is being finished and may be revealed in 2 or three weeks. The actual camping option will be revealed with it. A Silver "Luna" model will follow. Munro Associates has evaluated full scale production of the existing Noir prototype in their factory space and concluded that it will only require 23 people to product 10,000 units per year. They will continue working with Aptera to refine and improve the assembly process with input on the new follow on models. This is very good news, and better than anyone had hoped at this early stage. When asked about competition, the Aptera founders hope to see more manufacturers jumping on the goal of efficient EV models for the good of the planet.
10000 units a year will keep 23 workers busy producing 40 units a day. Assuming their work week is 5 days. A 6 day work week would reduce their daily output to 32. Hope to take delivery of mine sometime next year.
Silver Luna dual motor for us. Aptera swag, needed here with Ambassador Program. In Ventura, CA and nobody knows what I am preaching from the hill tops about this company. We have a local Pizza Co. using the "Deliverator" form Oregon, fully wrapped like a Pepperoni pizza. It's a head turner, I will order an XL pizza and request this delivery vehicle. Wondering if there is a "wrap" advert. Co. for Aptera? Of course we don't want to wrap the Full solar panel package. Planning on placing 5 k towards the loan and getting 50 plus sales towards the Tri-motor, Aptera wrap for Ambassador program? Rolling billboards and parked in high traffic area. Visit the Collection in Oxnard CA, Tesla Supercharger station may have an Aptera/Tesla charging collaboration. Tesla owners, will be an excellent market target. I just went on a "ramble" There is a question or 2 in there and hopefully some video ideas and comments. Thank-You APTERA REBOOT, keep up the excellent content. Charge the day!
Let's get real and keep the foots on the ground... To me, looks like another fundraiser which may go bad very soon. Either final price would be nowhere close to advertised one, either technical hardships related to vehicle reliability over time - when designing a vehicle from scratches - would become an impenetrable wall, and company would loose tons of money trying to fix never ending issues during warranty timeframe.
I am sure that those are your fears. But you are considering a vehicle made with the same materials as boats used in saltwater. In addition, the parts count is far lower than a typical car. There is just not as much to go wrong. In addition both founders have a remarkable record of success. Steve became a major supplier to Whole Foods and Chris co-founded and took a lithium battery company public. They are not like some of the failed companies that have never produced anything. In addition, they have hired world renowned talent and partnered with others. What they are doing is difficult, but it is worth doing, and at this point the chances of success are dramatically greater than they were even six months ago.
Cool commercials and PR so far from the company. Seems like more of a start of at this point collecting $10 million from donors and no factory or assembly line in sight
Yes, i thought the same when I saw the first specs of the Tesla Roadster. But I was wrong it was all true. I am an electronics engineer driving a Tesla and made my own electric motorcycle and let me tell you everything stated is very realistic.
I have worked as an engineer for much of my career (although I don't have an engineering degree) for example - I designed and built the samples freezer that flies on the ISS. I see no claims at all that are not actually conservative - as long as you understand the EPA highway cycle is not a typical driving cycle for most people. Could you give an example of where your questions lie?
Any new venture is risky. Were the early investors in Tesla ' suckers'? Do your own due diligence, but you will benefit from the cleaner environment that results from a successful company even if you don't want to take a chance on this yourself.

How does the Aptera do on extreme conditions? Pot holes, dirt roads, ice, sharp turns, flat tires, spare tire, etc.
Let's do it!
No more license plates.
Thanx for the update.
So excited and happy for this company!
Let's hope the chip shortage doesn't pose much of an obstacle
I hope so too
Could you post the full March 30th 2021 Brand Ambassador Zoom call?
Unfortunately, I don't have access to the Zoom call but I will be posting today's webinar shortly.
Ambassador program? What’s that? Who gets in? How? Where do I apply?
Send an email to Sarah at info@aptera.us if you're interested in participating in the ambassador program.
Please, get it aceptable for driving in Europe.

Excellent idea. I'm willing to bet this vehicle will add great value to any business.
Seems aviation inspired.
Steve Fambro, one of the founders, is a pilot.

March 2022 and still no apparent product ,is this a con!
A pity I can't contribute to the making of this "car". *sigh*
Every stat, figure, and specification that comes out of Aptera is HIGHLY unrealistic.

Skepticism is healthy. Specs are legit. Stay tuned for more details as Aptera publishes more info and validations over the next few months.
The 10k per year production w/ 20 people seemed extremely optimistic and unrealistic to me, otherwise I don't think it's too unrealistic.
