- Sorry about the onboard camera angle i will gave that fixed next time. Unfortunately the track was heavily overwatered which made it really hard to put down consistent times. This was of my last run which was going to be my fastest run till the mud caught me out. i think my fastest time was a 78.5ish. If i keep doing these i think i will need mud terrains.
Ive got the exact same rubber shits flopping around in my coils lol. They work pretty good!
Lol ya they work great but I actually need slightly longer ones.
This an older setup? No tender spring in front and leafs in the back. How do leafs compare with links? Do you think they can compete if you have shackle up mounting like a Chevy and some pivoting spring-eye bushings?
just look at the suspension that an unlimited truck has and study that. Just that should explain all you need to know.
@@Jusrin21Well at a short glance and with as shitty as google is these days, it looks like none of them run leafs! In that case, what's your take on a cantilever setup to get more travel out of less (or the same size) coilovers? Just a while ago I saw a pretty cool vid on a setup just like that. They were getting 19" of travel out of a 12" combo.

@@Jusrin21 it was so fun. The people that run SCCA now got real pissed of that I did this. I just told them I could out drive them any day.
Haha I had to make a legit argument that I wasn't going to just go out there and roll my Jeep and I could actually drive haha.
Was this a regular rallycross event like those associated with autocross or is this something different? I wanted to run my XJ in a local rally cross event and was told they weren't allowed lol.
Yes this is but it depends on who is running the event. Usually most places have no problem with a stock height SUV it's when they are lifted like mine that they start to have issues.
Please tell what is the spring rate and length 🙏
the spring is from rubicon express and its a 3" lift 240lb spring
What lift shackles do you run in the back
Used to be 2" but not it's linked.
Sweet rig! question for daily driver XJ on 4" lift . My drop brackets work great in the front with 5100 but for the back don't want to go above 4 inches of lift. would you suggest shackle relocation bracket and shackles or just good leaf springs or all of the above for most comfortable daily/trail 4×4?

hahaha its a smaller scale race with lower top speeds than normal desert races along with no door to door action like normal short course racing at least for this one.
