Hi, I've been watching a lot of ps3 repair videos and I do honestly believe that are the most skilled youtuber on PS3 repairs (you're the only one I saw repair a bricked GLOD w/o video output with impressive diagnostic precision and not just consider the board dead from the start). I've been interested in reflowing/reballing my GPU so if you could spare some time, could you please get a bit more in depth w/ your profiles for your reflow and reballing. How long do you typically run the machine for each temperature for reflow vs for reball? (I saw the numbers but I don't really understand. Is it a sequence of p1-p2-p3-p4? Or you just choose 1 of them for the process you're doing? Also want some clarification for other parameter. i.e. For 1P it's 180 for top heat and 190 for bottom heat but what do the 50 and 3.0 mean in that profile? Here's link for timestamp for faster reference ruclips.net/video/s-JU9CnPHX8/видео.html
@killerninja1238 That's awesome! I'm glad the video is helping you prepare to fix your cousin's PS3 Slim. Best of luck with the repair-I'm sure you'll do great! Let me know how it goes. 👍✨
You're welcome! I'm glad the video helped you out. Those random freezes can be tricky to diagnose, but it's great to hear you're on the right track now. If you run into any more issues, feel free to ask!
@@idreestech bullshyt. If you've just reflowed @ 200+ degrees what do you think happens to the thermal paste?. IT TURNS TO CHALK. I know I've reballed.. 100s of ps3s Not just reflow..
You're the PRO. May I will seek you for help in future for my ps3 super slim. For now I have a question. Can it be that seeing the graphics more yellow in particular when there is black immages from one day to another could be related to a bug? Cause I didn't play for some months and now look more yellowish. Can be dust on tv display?
Is it a CRT display device? If yes then it needs to be balanced by adjusting the colour gain controls. If no and display device is a led then it could be the dust particles but additionally it causes the display blurry.
@@idreestech I cleaned the display but prolly the problem was another. Game mode settings about image, in tv options. Those game mode settings really deteriorate graphics.
@@idreestech also do you play something online on ps3? I 'm playin raging blast 2 but I have also tekken tag 2 , naruto storm revolutions, ac revelations (online WORKS, at least a year ago worked) . Also mortak kombat , split second , saint seiya and more like RE revelations 2
What is the correct airflow level? Is it high, low, or medium? I can control the airflow by a percentage Meaning, I can adjust the air flow to 50%, 70%, 80%, 90%, or 100%.What is the correct percentage that I should choose for air flow so that the rsx does not burn out?I do not find a problem with the cpu at all. But the problem is with the rsx, as its RAM burns up quickly, and I find balls of tin coming out of the RAM.Although I use the same profile from your video
While airflow is a part of the reflow process, there isn't a one-size-fits-all percentage that guarantees success. It's important to approach reflowing with caution, seek professional assistance when needed, and address the underlying causes of the solder joint issues for a more effective and lasting solution. When performing a reflow to address solder joint issues, it's crucial to follow established guidelines and best practices. While airflow is important for dissipating heat during the reflow process, there isn't a universal percentage that applies in all cases. The key is to ensure a consistent and controlled heat distribution across the RSX chip.
I’ve turned my PS3 on for the first time in a while and the GPU has a problem. It keeps on freezing after 3 minutes and the screen changes everytime I smack the console’s top.
First I cleaned the GPU thoroughly with alcohol from the bottom, then I used flux paste on it before the reflow process, since the flux paste is hard, I melted it with a heat gun. It has been delivered underneath the GPU chip.
Hi, im from multan, my ps3 fat has the same gpu garbage and smacking ps3 changes the screen garbage. Can i have your number or you can fix it for me? I tried to heat gpu with hair dryer the garbage is gone but ps3 freezes in game sometimes
Thank you uncle for another great video, how long will the reflow last? I've heard that reflowing or reballing the APU, but in this case the GPU don't last long. Is that true.

Dear, 50 means profile parameters long for 50 seconds and 3.0 means rise in temperature should be 3 seconds per degree.
@@idreestech That makes sense now. Thank you for imparting your wisdom on the matter!

Even if you wanted to send a PS3 to Sony… do they still even accept PS3’s? I imagine right now that they don’t
My warranty is already void anyways as I was handed my ps3 down from my brother who opened it up many years ago to clean it
What's the charges for this solution you charge?
