Great video. The Dell laptop keys are quite close together.
To clean under the keys here are 2 ideas:
    1. Use a vacuum to suck out dust and bits
    2. Use an electric tyre pump to blow out dust and bits

Use a Computer Dust blower (canned Air) to blow out the dust to clean it.

This video was helpful. My H key popped out on the keyboard and I wasn't sure how to put it back. This video made it look super easy.

Thank you so much! I was having issues with my enter key and couldn't find a vid for my laptop. They were all for different brands and underneath the keys looked different. I fixed it in moments with your vid!

I think your tutorial is going to help me. I am experiencing some trouble to extract a long key from my Dell laptop. Now it is stuck in the middle: I can't fix it back and I can't take it off. But I am optimistic now.

Excellent video. I just a key pop out on my inspiron and it's taken ages to figure it out, I should have looked for a few videos but I carried on regardless, not seeing the damned things well at all! The two tiny white plastic parts actually fit into each other, so they 'scissor;, then their bottoms slide under hooks and their tops actually click into place. IVery easy when you know how and this video really does help. Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks dude, popped my Tab key off trying to get something out from underneath it. I love my laptop and the thought of it missing a key was too much to bear, lol. Got it fixed now though. Thanks again!

Many thanks! I was really worried if I could make my key work again. I couldn't figure out how to lock it in place, that I need to detach that plastic attachment first.

Please would you do arrow keys on Latitude E7250 with extreme closeups of the plastics things? They do not look like what was pictured in the video.

silly question ... the title of this video is "... How to remove and replace keys...", but i didn't actually see where you show how to remove a key. My cat knocked over what I thought was an empty can of soda, but a few drops must have gotten below my left shift key and it keeps sticking. I'd like to stop "YELling" the beginning of words, but I'd much rather not break the key while trying to fix it. 🤷‍♀ I'll keep looking on the site.

I removed my scissor from my up arrow and couldn't get it back in so now the scissor clip is broken :/ Definitely good for removing the keys, I didn't know how to do that, but I do kinda wish there was one specifically for the arrow keys since they're so much more delicate than the long metal bars
I was hoping even with that I'd still be able to have it fit back in but it refuses to sit flush, so I guess I'm without an up key now :/

If you are stuck on doing the scissor part, take the pieces of the scissor and lay them next to each other. Flip one piece over and look to see where the raised ridge is. Match it against how I have the ridge shown on the video, then put the nubs into the holes as shown.

Scissors keys? Hey im looking for a keyboard. That has that amazing "scissor key" feeling haha. Like you can literally press the keys faster then a laptop. Can you please help me!!!!
Are there any keyboards out there??? Ive been looking for so long, dont wana buy 20keyboards to test the keyboard :(

    • @GarageMaxedOut
      @GarageMaxedOut  4 года назад

There are a ton of options out there for USB keyboards, with a big range of prices. It sounds like you are looking for a mechanical slim switch keyboard like this one- amzn.to/2Kc0Ib2. Other ones in the category include this- amzn.to/3ero8XE and this- amzn.to/3aiIYFj. You might also check out the Hexgears X1, though it is limited in availability right now.
