      mario snslow they still put on a great show though 😂🎉 I believe that pre-recorded sets are for producers who want to connect with the crowd and put on a show.. since they won’t be able to if they’re constantly having to beat match, switch songs, add fx, etc. Don’t get me wrong being an actual Dj takes much skill and I appreciate the art. But there can be producers who can pre-set the perfect mix for an event and there can be Djs who can play other people’s music live in the best way possible. Or you can do both, if you’re extremely talented 🥴🎉

    • @JoeC26
      @JoeC26 3 года назад +3

      @@4evarav3n48 I agree. Unfortunately there will be many people in the crowd who arent as musically interested in DJing, so they have to get entertained by something else than just the pure skills of the DJ. So for the majority it will be beneficial if the DJ plays a pre-recorded set.

    • @jeansantana200
      @jeansantana200 3 года назад

      Djs hoje ganham muito mais notoriedade pela aparência e mídia, do que pelo talento. Não os vejo usar nem fone para tocar, isso quer dizer que os sets são todos gravados por um dj de verdade. Milli Vanilli os ensinou como enganar o público muito bem hahahaha

    • @fuge511
      @fuge511 3 года назад +2

      Joe C I think this has correlation with genre. In dubstep bass community a prerecorded set will get you flamed. 😂

      Producing is a whole other kettle of fish and is largely subjective. Plenty of tutorials on youtube, just search up whatever DAW you're using and you will find thousands of producers who have amazing information available for free, theres even more online classes etc that you can pay for at a fraction the price of going to a course. Good luck! :)

      @@4bidn1 Yes 100% accurate but as a producer and live sound engineer I'd personally love to see her on a DAW. Maybe not a "tutorial" but more of a live stream. Especially on her mixing and mastering. Theres always lots of ways to do it but watching some of her techniques would be cool.

      @4bidn1 3 года назад +4

      the video won't be taking down if she used one of her tracks, what will happen is RUclips will recognise the music as to which label it is and monetize it for that label, that way if her videos are monetized she won't get any but the labels which the music is shown in the video will earn the money

    Really awesome video! I've watched a lot of "beginners" videos on a multitude of subjects and a lot of them don't break it down simply enough for me to feel like I'm actually watching something designed for a straight up noob. You are doing a great job so far of breaking down the basics in a simplistic and easy to understand way and I appreciate that!

    It's harder to explain "how" than actually do it. I'm not a Dj, but a former Pro BMXer and when people asked how I did certain tricks it was so hard to explain, but doing it was much more easier. Got the same feeling now. You're such a great Dj, but to actually "tutorial" is hard when it's in your interest and muscle memory. I still enjoyed this video 😍 Thank's Alison!

    My first (and only) lesson in DJing:
    Instructor: "Can you count to four?"
    Beginner: "Yes"
    Instructor: "End of lessons"
    I then had to figure the rest out myself.
    That was 22 years ago. Videos like this are invaluable for today's budding DJ. Let's just hope we can get back in the bars and clubs as soon as possible and enjoy the magic of the DJ.

      get a ddj-400 or 800 to start. After that you can go to the ddj-1000 or xdj-xz which are closest to the CDJ NX2 and DJM-900nx2 club setup.

    ALISON this is so wonderful! Much love and respect for you and your skills, so grateful to learn from a boss. I will definitely watch every episode. I have lots of questions but I'll spread them out . Where's the best place to find music to download? Also how do you organize your music? (By genre? By BPM? etc...) Where do you set your cue points? Thanks love 🤜🤛👊👊👊
