It was a great experience to march in Auburn's Metallica show entry last year. I know several people marching with instruments bought with last years prize money. It was hands down my favorite memory from college marching band so far. Thanks for giving bands this great opportunity. Good luck to everyone competing!!!

Seems like yesterday I still remember moshing at the Mayfair Ballroom Newcastle UK Sept 19 1986 .. I was 15 years old Cliff was giving it big ones and people where so close to the stage they where spitting in his hair ... we had a great night and Metallica guest support band was Anthrax little did I know .....one week later Rest In Paradise Cliff Burton. he was a master of his craft. James had a broken wrist ? and we had John Marshall on lead guitar
