if you’re bar setup allows it, what i did was thread the extensions into tubes while everything was still tight and then loosened the pinch bolts and jacked up the bike until everything lined up. very efficient if possible and less time with the bike on a sketchy home garage jack. LONG AINT WRONG 🤘🤘
@@claytonwatson3358 Not sure. I thought about rolling the dice but have not pulled the trigger yet. I've been meaning to get ahold of TJBrutalCustoms and see what he thinks.
All that and a half second clip of the finished bike. That was a bummer. Come on guys !!!! I'm just busting your balls. Looks like a great product and a super easy way to lengthen the front end. Very cool.
love these, wish i could have gotten them 10 years ago. my 2001 shadow has 70,000 miles and the second set of front forks are almost done for the bike wont last long enough to justify these but they sure look like fun. i have the 750 Spirit bars on my 600 these would go well with the look. I got the solid handlebar bushings from you guys, really helped smooth things out.
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS i'll tell you another item that fell apart and maybe for others too: the headlight holder assembly. my glass and most of the stuff that held the bulb in all vibrated apart until it literally fell off the bike. had to replace with a really cheap thing that does not really fit the headlight mount part on the forks. a replacement from honda is like $3-400 and not really available... people might like something that attaches to the bracket on the forks .....
I just had mine installed on my 04 honda shadow aero the pueces are fucking solid heavy metal and looks amazing, the handling difference is very minimal its even more comfortable on front suspension
I'm to lazy to get new cables 😅 and my bars are tall enough I'm already stretching them out.... But damn that rise looks good. I think I would prefer a 3-4 over though. 6 over might be a bit much depending on the build
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS I watched your video about how to figure out the length of cables needed but I found it (and you) because I was actually looking for a tutorial on how to replace the handlebars and all of the cables if I got new handlebars that brought the controls back (I have short arms apparently). I really like the buck horn bars you have... (or maybe I'll get some six bend bars?) But I still can't really find Honda Shadow specific info on how to install longer cables... and then there is that hose that comes out of something I think the cool kids call a 'master cylinder'? I think I need that. Anyways, thanks for the cool video and I'm definitely ordering those fork extensions as soon as I figure out how to replace my cables. If you start selling six bends, I'll buy those too!
Man I hope these hold up better than the slugs from the 60-70's! Those were notorious for breaking. I built chops back then and refused to use them. Extended tubes only for me
Loving the product line. Shadows dont get enough attention in the aftermarket scene. At least not from what I can google. Lol ... just curious if you ever plan on doing your own custom set of forward controls or custom triple with a rake?
Could you do a installation video for the anteris bolt on rear fender and sissy bar kit? I’m a beginner and would love a video to go along with the written instructions on the website
Just a question if I may. Are these extensions safe to use? cause several forums I checked said they weren't and were deemed dangerous due to flex in the fork which might cause the threaded point to fold.
Good Question but I think since the threaded portion is in between the triple tree's it safe to be the least likely area to flex the joint. I could 100% be scared if the threads were below the bottom trees.
Just got my extensions and really like them , but I think 8 inches might be better lol. But I’ve got a question on a bit different subject, what would make a stator wire get hot enough to melt the connector , bad stator , voltage regulator ?
Where is the video that talks about measuring and installing the front brake line cables? I want to stretch my forks but still need to keep my front brakes in my state.

Hello Mr TJ it would be so helpful to me and i would really appreciate it, if you can give me some tips of how to remove a stuck flywheel bolt in a HONDA SHADOW VLX 600 i'm planning to change my timing chain/cam chain on my bike but right now i'm stuck with the bolt on my flywheel, it's so stuck and hard that even my impact wrench with a maximum power of 330nm of torque can't get the job done what's the best tip or advice that you can give to me i would really do appreciate it thanks in advance sir.
Hello, I have a 2014 Phantom and I want to install the extensions. In this case how would I do it? could you make a video? so I could finalize the purchase of the customization, thank you.
Do you sell a longer kickstand so that it’s not leaning so much? I bought the fork extensions and love the look but it makes the bike feel a lot heavier since it’s leaning over so much.
Peace be upon you, my brother. I am a fan of your channel. Thank you for the nice information.. What is the name of this piece if you want to get it from a market or a store?
I just purchased a 06 shadow vlx600 that’s been setting for 4 years. Took off the carb to clean it only to find out whoever the previous owner had work on it before has stripped all the screws on the bottom of the carb. I’m trying to find a new carb but can’t seem to. Would you happen yo know where I can get one?
Hey TJ any plans to offer 3 or 4 inch extensions for the VT600? Only ones I’ve found are for Harley 39mm forks. If ya ever decide to make em a little shorter I’d buy em without hesitation lol!
I hope I git a response, but I have an 1984 Honda xr500r and I'm not gitting any spark to the spark plug, I held the ground to the body and had a little shock , but no spark to the spark plug itself once hooked up, I really can't figure it out can you help me?
I've heard that these can weaken the integrity of the fork tube at the top and possibly even crack due to flex where they thread in. Any truth to this?
no dude. the forks dont flex between the top clamps. the forks CAN POTENTIALLY flex below the bottom clamp. this is why i dont make these extensions to go past the lower clamp. these are super safe.
Whats the longest extension available for the Honda Shadow. I was looking at some pics on google with bikes having 8-10 inch extension. Is that an actually extension, or just a longer fork tube?
Um, no. Handlebar height can only be changed with new bars, or risers. With extensions The whole bike tips back pivoting on the rear axle. The actual handlebar height can't change thought the overall height from the ground changes.
Do you know if the extensions would fit a 1986 vt700c Shadow? I know the fork cap is a 39mm diameter thread, and I don't know if I could use these extensions even though they are not specifically listed as being for my bike.
How do I get a hold of you? I’ve been trying to email you but can’t find shit.. anyway to increase air intake on a 2000 vt1100c3? Got pipes and jetted the carbs but now I’m running a little rich
Hey man I'm wondering if these will fit a 85 vt700c? They're 39mm if i remember correctly. I'm just wondering if the thread pitch is the same? Because i don't see my bike in the fitment chart. Thanks
No. That would be an unwise idea. Like drinking a bottle of exlax, and going to a wedding hoping you don't need to use the bathroom. The fork extensions of the 70's delved too far and too deep into chopper town ignoring the wisdom of the elders. Putting two extension joints in your forks, one of which is below the lower triple, is waiting fir an authoritative pothole to send you face first into the pavement. So, no.
they will not, sorry. we have other models available though which might. i dont know the models off the top of my head but they are on the site and the description will state what they fit

Bars will always be on the way
Could just remove your bars, what on most bikes it's just 4 Allen bolts. Even if it's internally wired you could just shimmy the bars out of the way.
I have a 750 Aero so it has covers over the upper forks. I was thinking of a way to do this without having to remove the entire fork tube. Thank you.
