Was having tremendous issues with trying to get the carbs back on my XRV750. The first two minutes of this video saved my day, rubbers were hard as a rock indeed!
Amazing videos, just bought a 2002 Honda Shadow 750 ACE from a guy who said something was wrong with the air mixure settings so i took it home and it idled fine but would die when i gave it gas. I wantched about 6 of your videos and felt confident enough to take out the carbs and clean it. They were gunked up bad, clead everything LP aired all the jets and passages and reassembled and man it has power now. I did notice that it was not regetted for the Vance and Hines exhaust due to the original needles still being used...im going to be purchasing your performance kit and fix what should have been done years ago. Thanks for your videos...
Thank you, I know this video is 3 yrs old. But this was sent to me by a friend, who recently learned I will be rebuilding my 85 Honda Shadow VT500 Carburetors. And turned me on to your 1-4 Carb rebuild, I bought a 2nd set of Carbs off of eBay and the rebuild kits and the Diaphram and plunger. I just ordered Intake boots for my Bike as a Precaution since I'm, it's 3rd owner and 2nd owner sold it to me as a used bike. DMV says it's a Salvaged bike. So I gotta be prepared. Runs great, using full synthetic without any leaks. Cycle shop said it's only using 1 carb on low rpm's. So I'm just going to rebuild the 2nd set and pickup a vacume Calibration tool. And thinking about picking up a 6L Ultra sonic cleaner. I liked how yours turned out. Thanks for the tips. They will help. "My Handle is Nightrider, I use to ride my mountain bike at night. But RUclips wouldn't let me register that name". Hence Nghtrider.

Thanks so much. My stock, low mileage '06 Shadow, 1100 needs the carb jets changed when I put V&H drag pipes on. Carbs have never been off and I was planning to put new boots on. Love the bike even though I have 2 Harleys, Lol. Thanks for taking time to make informative videos. Hopefully I'll be getting parts from you. Jeff in Mich.
Whats up fellas I bought the velocity stacks, the performence kit for duel carps and the straight open pipe draft exauhst for my 1998 honda shadow vt750 ( parts fit all on my model). I put everything in and started it up. I ran very good, great power output and no problems for two days. I parked my shadow after a 70 km ride down to a campsite for tow days without starting it and when i started it the next time the power output was shit. Still rideable but copared to before very bad performance. It takes a good while to get some speed. I checked very much stuff already but i run out of ideas. I thought maybe there is somewhere a leak where air comes i but the carb boots are new and well sealed. The exauhstgaskets are fine. The carbs seam fine aswell. Petcock is clean, fuelfilter is clean. I (double-)checked very much stuff and run out of ideas ( Sparkplugs, different settings for airfuel- mixture, the new jets aswell even if i cleant the carbs and other stuff.Does anyone had a similar problem and can help me ? Please give me some idea's guys, its my first bike and i learn all the stuff on my own and wont give up till its fixed. I am good with mechanics just to point out that i dont fucked stuff up while rebuilding the carbs and like i said, i checked that trwice to made shure everything is fine there. I count on u lad's and on the tjbrutalcustoms-Team aswell. Thanks guys! Lucas

Do you have a video showing how to prep the bike for carb removal? I am trying to figure this out but I see different prep options like removing the gas from the carbs, draining the coolant system, stuff like that.
Hi, I am huge fan of your work. I ride VT600CV. I have a question - with 4 valve carb synchronizer can i sync dual carbs using only 2 units from the device?
Love your videos and have learned a fair bit from them. Just out of curiosity though. Why no love for the shadow 500? Looking forward to seeing more videos. 🙂
The part your missing out on the fun is when you try and get the stock airbox on and the F'ING $#!+ does not have enough rubber to carb ratio and you can only push the airbox down so hard before it crushes. If you run into this as i have. Try and get a heavyset gal to sit on the air box while simutaneously pushing the carb up with a 6ft long pry bar.. When you're done, I recommend jumping into a snowbank to try and cool off.
I've never worked with dual carbs, yes the info was useful. But let me explain what I'm looking for... I've bought a used bike that had dual carbs ''installed'' haphazardly aftermarket. Only one of the lines on the bottom is connected to anything. Should they be interconnected? I know my single carbs, but this just got me confused...
