THIS IS SO CUTE, I HAVE TO-
- It's okay, - Those two words caught Milo off guard. Maybe he was too focused on counting the stars in the evening sky, maybe he was lost in thought whether or not Pimpim meant what they said, but he was truly surprised. So surprised that he almost jumped up from the sudden kind words.
- It- It is?, - He questioned, kind of anxiously tugging at his collar, - I just... What do you even mean?, - The last half of the sentence drifted into an awkward giggle. A rarity to be seen. Pimpim giggled as well, though in a less worried tone, and in a more "Oh, you silly bean." tone. They gestured over their friend, nodding. After a few seconds of weird silence and a very concerned stare from Milo, they finally sighed, with the same smile.
- It's okay if you don't "give me more". I don't need some grand gift, or an act of affection, I just like you! I like talking to you, I like hanging out with you, and I absolutely *love* your company overall. You're not obligated to do anything for me, - As they spoke, the smile slowly shifted into a bit of a bashful one. Telling your best friend how much you genuinely adore him for all his quirks, and how you just want to never ever ever ever separate is odd.
- Except, - Milo almost turned pale white, worried that what Pimpim would ask for would be unachievable, - Be my friend, - The smile creeped onto his face again. That was easy. He nodded in agreement, and wiped something at the corner of his eye. It really was okay. And the two of them were okay.
