    I asked a waitress at a pho restaurant what kind of coffee they used but, she said that she couldn't give out the secret. A few minutes later I see the bus boy collecting dirty dishes and cleaning tables, and what did he throw the dirty utensils and chopsticks into..? A Cafe Du Moudt coffee can. When I went up to pay, they also had their pens and pencils in a Cafe Du Mount can by the register. In my head, I was like.. "your secrets out bitch"

    I am glad you explained the sense that the coffee is strong, for me it’s nothing; but definitely a drink I need for finals or during a busy day at work.

      Agreed that if you drink enough you get used to the strength of the coffee

    I like it hot.
    I'm from Louisiana and if you can't find that particular can of coffee look for the (brick) air sealed bag called CDM. It's the same coffee just in a sealed bag and the name is abbreviated and it tends to be a little cheaper.

    Your measurements? Due to you having a bigger coffee maker don’t you need more coffee grounds? How many table spoons?

    • @FoodAddictionTV
      @FoodAddictionTV  3 года назад +1

      Not so much exact science... but whatever espresso is made with the coffee maker... you add level of condense milk to your tasting based on preferred sweetness. You can add more ice to dilute the espresso so it’s not so strong. Hope that makes sense? Practice makes perfect. 😃 - Binh

    I have a regular drip coffee maker like "cowboy coffee" or pour over. Can I make regular coffee with this brand? Years ago when I went to New Orleans and went to Cafe du Monde the coffee was amazing. Then years later when I moved to Hawaii and saw the cans I bought it and tried making it in a crappy coffee maker and it tasted really bitter and gross. I just bought another can now that I have a single serving pour over coffee maker but I'm worried that it may not taste good if I'm doing it wrong. Is this coffee just to be made as espresso?

    • @FoodAddictionTV
      @FoodAddictionTV  2 года назад +1

      You should be able to make it regular style. Some extra creamers may help sweeten the Cafe Du Monde as it can be a little bitter and strong as espresso. Adding the condensed milk makes it taste so much better… lol. Thanks for the comments Melissa! Hope you like it better this time and please consider subscribing for more coffee reviews. - Binh

      @@FoodAddictionTV thank you for the helpful tips. I know out here in Hawaii they use a lot of sweetened condensed milk in coffee and I have never tried it. I'm definitely going to get myself a can and test it out! I'll let you know how it goes!

    No, no Love - that is NOT a percolator. That is an esresso pot. A percolator, either electric or stovetop, perks the coffee through the basket over and over until desired strength (about 8 minutes).
