    Classic Dalgona Recipe:
    1 1/2 tbsp instant coffee
    2 teaspoons sugar
    1 1/2 tbsp hot water
Add ingredients to a bowl and with an electric mixer, whip until foamy. Fill glass with ice and milk 3 /4 of the way full - top with coffee foam and enjoy.
    Matcha Dalgona Recipe:
    1/4 cup whipping cream
    2 teaspoons sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 teaspoons matcha
in a bowl, add cold whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until you start to see ribbons form in the cream. You don't want it too stiff - just soft ribbons. add matcha and continue to whisk until you get a firm but soft foam. You want it to resemble whipped cream, not butter. If it is churned too far, just add 1 tablespoon of milk and whip until it is still fluffy and thin.
    Golden Milk Dalgona Recipe:
    1/2 teaspoons turmeric
    1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
    pinch of black pepper
    2 teaspoons sugar
    2 egg whites
In a pot, bring water to a boil and lower the heat to simmer. Place a bowl right on top of the pot and add sugar, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper. Mix well then add egg whites and whip with an electric mixer until you get soft/stiff peaks.

Donna M most blenders won’t work. The blades actually end up cutting the bubbles apart, so you get the volume, and the color, but not foam.

What I did for the matcha 🍵 dalgona I put 2 tbps of aquafaba, matcha and hot water mixture, with a syrup I made. I did 1/8 cup of sugar to some water but you can adjust sweetness.

@@reign77777 aquafaba is the liquid in cans of chickpeas! It doesn't taste like beans or anything. I use it all the time when baking and there's no taste or texture difference to me.

    • @lottatroublemaker6130
      @lottatroublemaker6130 4 года назад +1

Aquafaba literally means «bean water», so it is not exclusively from chickpeas/garbanzo beans, but you have to use light colored beans like chickpeas, cannelini etc. I have only used chickpeas myself, except for once, when I «had to» give kidney beans a try. The stand mixer was running for around 20 minutes, but I couldn’t get a firm foam, so had to give it up. Too bad, because it was such a pretty, pink foam... Maybe cream of tartar would have helped, not sure. Don’t know if a little baking powder can help puff aquafaba-foam up, it makes whipped cream more stiff and helps when using whipped cream in hot climates (would be interesting to try with coconut cream, e.g. 1 tsp pr can of cream). But one thing that really makes it easier, is to let it become thicker, less water content, before whipping. Either cook it in or leave it out on the counter for a while to thicken. Also makes sense if you want to use aquafaba as a binder instead of eggwhite, let it get to the thickness of egg, would help (though I most often use flax egg for that, it’s so quick and easy)...

For those who can’t have any dairy at all but want to make the matcha one. Use coconut cream from a can and make sure it has at least 40% fat or so. Just blend it using a cold bowl and it whips up the same. I used to work at a boba tea shop. It helps to also mix the matcha in a little bit of hot water to make sure it doesn’t have a grainy texture

Hi! I love your videos, thank you for putting great content out- always! I wanted to shed some light on this drink. This is NOT called a Dalgona drink, it has been named that by culture right now. This drink is a Frappé coffee, Greek coffee. (wiki en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frappé_coffee but you can do additional research). It has been around for decades and although I'm not Greek myself, I have seen Greek individuals (or with Greek roots) express their disappointment over this. Their history/culture is being rewritten by people who have no idea or consideration. You have a great following and I thought it'd be worth a shot telling you to help spread the word.

The whole point of recipe is to share them so that others can experience foods the same way you do. I did in fact learn about the Greek coffee because of your comment, though. Thanks for that.
