Morrissey perjured herself at least twice. She claimed that the detectives put the ammo and report under a different case number and even the judge mentioned that according to the previous witness there was a meeting with the lead detective and Morrissey where they decided together to bury this evidence under a different case number. Then, she also lied about why the other prosecutor quit. That prosecutor said she quit because they had a meeting during lunch where she said we need to drop this case. This was about the FIFTH time prosecution was caught hiding evidence. The other four times you could see the judge struggling not to dismiss the case. I think the judge simply had no choice this time, there were far too many times (the judge said this herself) that this has happened to believe it was all just honest mistakes. The judge herself said the prosecution can face sanctions. I believe an example needs to be made of this wholly corrupt prosecutor. She should lose her law license.
She can't even control herself in the courtroom, she does not have the demeanor of a professional. Even the judge at one point during a defense cross exam she stands up and tries to act like she is the judge in this case. The judge has to tell her to "quit trying to run this courtroom" and then tells her that if she has an objection the proper way to voice an objection is to state "two words" - i.e. Objection irrelevant, or objection leading, or objection hearsay. This judge clearly had enough of this prosecutor's behavior both in and out of the courtroom.
That prosecutor is going to need a good lawyer. Her conduct was so negligent that I’m sure sanctions are coming.
She's actually a defense attorney hired on as special prosecutor so she can't be fired because her job is done (poorly). She deserves to face some consequences. And so do the dirty cops/CSI.
A prosecutor can lose their license over this.
Yes, I think she will face a bar complaint. She could lose her career over this. Erlinda Johnson made the right decision.
That's why she called herself to testify. It was an effort at damage control.

Just saw Erlinda interviwed by Cummo and she quit because of the evidence witheld. That means Morrissey lied on the witness stand when she said Erlinda quit because the judge decided to televise it.
She probably meant televise the motion heard today about the evidence

Forget about Baldwin being guilty, that special prosecutor needs to take responsibility for this. She can't be fired tho because she wasn't the DA office employee, but I really hope Baldwin launch an adverse prosecution/malicious prosecution law suit...
Between this and the Karen Read case, we all need to be paying attention to what is going on with our cop shops and prosecutor's offices. We could be their next victims.

No it doesn’t. You obviously didn’t watch the trial. Her lawyer team knew about it. It was THEIR evidence that they didn’t use ffs. And they didn’t use it in the trial because it wouldn’t benefit it.

@@almac9203 the witness was supposed to be a witness for the defense, aka Hannah Gutierrez, but the defense decided not to use him in the trial. So after the trial, he went to the prosecution’s team to leave the “evidence“ to them instead.
Just to be clear, once again, he was Hannah Gutierrez witness. Her team knew about this “evidence” but they didnt use because it was no good for them.
The reason the judge was forced to throw out the case, is because the police and the prosecution didn't disclose the evidence to Baldwin's lawyers, and they have to. Even though the "evidence" is nonsense, they have to follow the rules. They didn't.
So this will NOT affect Gutierrez because it was her witness!!!
Hannah was high and incompetent. Her culpability was far more obvious. The ammo likely came from her own father so it won’t make any difference for her case.

The prosecutor has gone rogue, putting evidence in another file to be shipp somewhere never to be seen again is beyond insane. No she should definitely be disbarred and thrown in prison the judge make the right decision.

I think referring to Lauren Mathias of Hidden True crime as a podcaster is not right. Lauren was a journalist for years. Honestly, the dismissal was not shocking as the prosecution was a joke and an embarrassment to the legal system.

P.s. I met Stephen Baldwin back in 2013 in Nashville and he was very kind and humble. He was there with his family meeting a Christian rock band that I loved back then. He even took pics with me and the guitar player.
The prosecutor asked to be removed, she just came on board in April and had just learned about the withheld evidence along with everyone else.
The odd part is after Hannah was convicted this retired police officer shows up with Starline brass loaded ammo claims it was from the same batch. The prosecutors screwed up should have just added it to the case and said that could have been loaded after the conviction. Just because it had a Starline case doesn't mean it really came from the same batch of ammunition. The guy could have just loaded up some more after Hannah's conviction to help her and her father out of this situation. The prosecutor actions was the problem here.
In my most humble of opinions, I would have to say that this entire Alec Baldwin debacle has been one very big miscarriage of justice no matter about guilt or innocence ....

Not sure what you are even talking about. Alec gave Halena's husband her producer job when they finished filming the movie in Montana. This case has nothing to do with money. Alec did nothing wrong except try to cut corners and it cost him a lot. The stress probably took years off his life. They need to stop bringing any real guns on sets.

This is all pathetic. How is Troy Teske a good samaritan? He's friends with Hanna's dad and brought these ammunition to the police in April after Hanna was convicted. He was protecting her which is obstruction of justice. Also, Hanna's attorneys knew about Teske possessing these rounds what obligation did they have to disclose this info to Baldwin's lawyers even if the evidence hindered Hanna's case? Did Hanna give these rounds to Teske like how did he get them? Why was he not interrogated? Also why didn't Morrisey just have the FBI test these rounds bring a motion to reveal the results of the testing and the disclosure of the rounds? She would havd been ethical and professional doing that instead of burying the evidence under a secondary case file unrelated to Rust. Finally, Spiro, Baldwin's lawyers cross examined Popple on the stand introducing the contoversy. When did he know about this and if he did why didn't he bring a motion before trial to dismiss the case? So many questions unanswered.

I actually watched the trial. It was really the only decision that could be made. Google "Brady Violation" to find out why. And the judge gave the prosecution ALL of the leeway yesterday so "paid off" doesn't wash.

Would you have said that after watching the trial? Because if you did watch the trial, you'd know a few things. Like how the judge gave the prosecution tons of leeway yesterday and the defense had a VERY bad day because of it. And that Brady violations are a complete miscarriage of justice which require extreme remedies. I encourage you to look that up. Let's say that you are arrested for something you didn't do and decide to go to trial. Will your lawyers have all the evidence that they'd need to prove your case? Are you SURE? SURE SURE? Do you trust any prosecution to act right after this and the Karen Read trial? I'm not crazy about Baldwin as a man nor as an actor, in all honesty. But this case HAD to be tossed.

Dismissed does not mean innocent. It means a precedent was struck from the record. it would have set a precedent that every subsequent KILLER could use "it's a Hollwood Prop Gun, aint my fault' as a defense. And if Alec officially got away with it then ever KILLER saying the same thing would have to be let go.
