You know what amazes me? Most of these cars he details are new. I mean, I'm Brazilian, and we use to mantain cars that are much older for years, taking care of them and stuff. How can people can be so sloppy is beyond my comprehension.
New? Not really. I feel it’s more that cars haven’t changed as much in the last 20 years as they did in the 20 years before that. And of course, it’s possible that Brazil receives used cars from wealthier countries. One of the downsides of rich countries is that with high wages, a lot of repairs become too expensive to make sense to perform. So they get sold and shipped to places where the labor is cheap enough to make it worthwhile. (Or can be legally ignored, as in the case of many emissions-related faults, unfortunately.)
@@tookitogo no, my friend, is not how things work here =) It's highly unusual seeing used imported cars here, because the taxes and bureaucracy papers are overwhelming - by the way, people with enough money to afford an imported car use to buy it as new. Even cheaper cars coming from China or India, for example, are expensive as hell because of taxes, shipping and stuff, believe me. Brazil is well known as a manufacturer of several models developed exclusively for Latin America, although the brands are worldwide. But even national cars are too expensive for most people afford 'em in a dealership, so buying a brand new car is like a dream, LOL. Stephen De Tomasi I mean the car ended up with Mitch here so it’s pretty clear there is at least some desire to be in a clean car. From what he says, it sounds like they didn’t have the know how to remove the stains and tried to get the dealer to do it who also said nope, no can do. It doesn’t take much to take even simple trash gathering out of a routine. Last time this year, my car had every surface clean and free of trash. These days, there is a stain from a drink I accidentally folded up in the back center console and a bunch of reciepts/junk in the back seat. I just haven’t been able to put aside a few hours to clean it now that it has gotten to this point. Someone with two kids I imagine has even less free time than me. For some people, it’s really not a priority, and there are many more important things so I don’t think it’s right to judge this person just based on their car.

It’s bad enough that the owners neglect their car like this. But what fascinates me about all these details is that the owners don’t even bother removing their empty cans and so on before handing their car over to a stranger. Don’t they feel any shame?
I worked at a detail shop for years, and it surprised me every time...and believe it or not, only about 2 out of 10 customers bothered to take all the trash out...I didnt mind if it were a couple cups and a some fast food bags, but I’ve seen some shit on these cars...SUV’S with more than 1 kid were a nightmare
Tbh I drink Gatorade’s like it’s nothing and just throw them to the backseat
Ig they figure it’s already getting cleaned why try cleaning it now lol but I see what you’re saying that’s like going to the dentist to get your teeth clean and deciding not to brush your teeth that morning lol
The owner is the kind of person that would eat beef jerky and jelly filled donuts on the way to the dentist to have their teeth cleaned.
@@Rickcrazy100 Honestly I feel you. Didn't work at a proper detail shop, but I did work at Bodywork shops and Dealers. It baffles me what people leave behind in their cars/the cars they SELL to a dealer.
WOW WOW WOW. Favourite part was seeing those seats come clean. When I was in Japan a lot of the cars had removable seat covers they could throw in the wash. Something this family could use. thanks for a great job

I'm pretty sure the owner is a disgusting person and wouldn't give a shit, because there's no other explanation for the condition of that vehicle
Stephen De Tomasi there is a minion sticker though so I have made my judgment based on that 😂
Honda Dealer says they can't get them out...aka service tech: "I don't get paid enough for this..."
I work at a dealership and can 100% confirm this the detail guys in the back only do light paint work and basic interior detailing they wouldn't be able to get those stains out hahahaha. I wouldnt blame them for turning it away lol
I don‘t blame them. If the customer can‘t be bothered, then why should the dealer sort out this mess?

Just imagine: someone was driving around in that filth for months or years. Nasty. Like living inside a dumpster.
It’s a 2015! I thought it was a 2000 or something cause how can someone be THAT disgusting in the span of 5 years?!?! (Also, not a car person, so I know jack about car models/years) My mom had us and her car was never like this. Always clean. And not from cleaning it. We rarely ever made a mess. And she rarely went to vacuum the floor mats. I physically can’t remember any stains or memories of making stains. Only thing I ever did was accidentally leave crayons in the 3rd row seats hand indent thing and they melted.

Really what it is, is that they give it a quick one over with everything and just don’t care bc they are mechanics, they don’t want to detail cars. He genuinely enjoys doing a good job and presenting a clean product. He’s cares, they didn’t. I mean really, he put solution on, scrubbed it, cleaned.
