I just ordered more! I used up all the ceramic spray on all our vehicles! We have more vehicles than drivers 🤣🤣🤣 I did use it on my snowmobile as well. All shined up and ready for another winter of fun.
Most of the Sunfire & Cavalier had the bulletproof 2.2L.. capable of 40mpg(17km/l) highway & could see 300,000 miles(482,000km) or more.. the reason you don't see them anymore is because Canada salts every road. I had the 98 convertible. Had a blast driving that car with top down. This brought back memories. Was heartbroken when the guy ran the red light and totaled it. Great job detailing. Looks amazing
Wow what a great transformation. That sunfire looks amazing. These cars were so popular when I first got my license. All my friends ended up with either a sunfire or cavalier. I too had a 2001 grand am. I miss pontiac, I know many didn't care for them, but my grand am was my first new car that I worked hard for, and bought at 19 years old. I drove it for 18 years. Only ever had to change the starter. It was great car.
Love this video especially! My 98 Cavalier Z24 sees this treatment regularly. Garage kept and rust free. Love when I see these cars pop back up on my phone haha
🌟 I wager your client is very pleased with the outcome. 👏👏 That carpet is shag compared to the interior carpet in vehicles now! I just cleaned our daughter’s engine, the way you showed, and used my leaf blower to dry it all. I think you use one as well, but it worked phenomenally! Now for my truck, my husband is laughing at me right now! Have a great weekend. Cheers for the fab video and I hope your dad is home, resting comfortably and healing beautifully.
When i was at a car rental company for 8 years, to clean the engine bay we didnt have a garden hose so i used the pressure washer with it turned off and the water turned on, so similar to using a garden hose
We had a 99 Sunfire coupe 2.2L. This video brought back all the feels for sure. My first car was also a 2001 Cavalier Z24 couple manual. Loved that car and the reference to them as well
Very very popular car back in the day. Robust powertrain. Acres of cheap plastic. But very much affordable and reliable. They sold well in Canada and the U.S. tissue car - use it up and throw away. Nice to see one of these revived. It cleaned up well. Even with some of the rust poking through still has some life left in it.
NIce. I had a '98 Sunfire in an electric blue paint (indigo blue?). Performance-wise it was a typical econo-box, but it looked nice. I upgraded the speakers and fit a Sony 6-disc changer in the center console under the armrest. Your detailing alone probably doubled the value of that car. Well done, sir.
Wow another car saved from being scrapped. I must say brother ur work is extraordinary and supreme. Where u find such condition cars is beyond me. Looks good though 👌 👌👌👌
With all those pine needles, I would have expected lots of sap on the paint. I once had a Chevy Cavalier SS Coupe 5-speed manual tranny. (The Chevy version of the Sunfire). It was a good little car. Never had any issues with it. Great job with this cleaning, Mitch. The interior cleaned up well.
*It's amazing to see this old Pontiac Sunfire get such a thorough cleaning! The car has been abandoned under pine trees for over a decade, but now it looks brand new! Absolutely incredible!* 💯💯💯❤❤❤
That Sunfire was pretty sharp once all cleaned up. The pine needles were impressive. That must have filled up the shop vac. The extractor was busy today. Brown water the whole time. Cleaning the weather stripping was cool to see. Was the patterned seat a replacement do you think? 12 hours of fun. Have a great weekend Mitch. ❤
Definitely a flashback for me lol I was a sophomore going into my junior year of high school in 2001 & my mom gave me a bright red Pontiac Sunfire. My first car ever! I love this!! ♥️
This is both incredible and heartbreaking to see, Pontiac cars were amazing back in the day when I was a kid. I remember when the Pontiac Sunfire came out. It’s really sad to see that there are no more but it’s wonderful to see how this car cleaned up. The quality of cars was so much better back then. Thanks for the video.
Hi Mitch, from Vancouver Island. Still see Sunfires and Cavaliers on the Island. :-) Wanted to mention that I picked up a detail brush almost identical to what you use, and not only is it great for detailing my 2010 Chev Equinox, but for housecleaning as well! Cleaning windows, getting into all those silly little corners, cupboards and drawers, all kinds of places which are so hard to clean. I picked up a couple of dollar store paint brushes (1" and 2.5") and use them for cleaning baseboards, stairs, etc. Don't know why I didn't think of this sooner! lol ....
I’ve been watching your videos since many years now and I own a chevy cavalier so I always fantasized how it can get a deep cleanup!! You made my day 😂❤
As a BC resident who used to live under TALLL pine trees 🌲 I definitely do NOT miss cleaning up after them...inside and out!!! 😂 Also, the amount of chocolate milk that came out of the floor mats were amazingly gross!! 😯🤢 Love your videos Mitch!!! 😍🥰❤️🧼🚗🇮🇴🇨🇦
Wow what a cleanup! So many pine needles they seem to stick to vehicles like magnets! My car has a ton of them too! It’s like a repeat session! I have an idea for you, couldn’t you pressure wash outside? But the vacuum is a good way to get rid of them! Car looked great after!
A college friend of mine had a Sunfire. On the weekends when most people went home or wherever, we would go to Sonic, ome back to the college and she would donuts and drift in that dang car in the college's massive gravel parking lot. We loved it and I laughed so dang hard. We went car camping in that baby also. GOOD TIMES!!! You did a FAB job as always. I also love my pawn shop beat-up Peavey TNT bass amp.
As always another amazing transformation. Love watching your videos. I had a Oldsmobile Cutlass as my first car that seamed similar. Also I can’t wait to check out your Black Friday sale. Have a great weekend Mitch and by the way how is your Dad?
Hello from the Philippines, Mitch! I always look forward to your videos; if my dad were still with us, he would’ve enjoyed every single one, as he always preferred to clean our car himself (we used to refer to it as his third child! 😆). I have a request, though it doesn’t have anything to do with detailing. I think you’re a great guitar player, and I was wondering if one of these days, you could play a bit of classical guitar? Thanks, and looking forward to your next video!
Honestly that Sunfire reminds me of my mother’s Saturn SL-1, it was a good little car. It got great gas mileage but it’s only flaw was it possessed the smallest battery I’ve ever seen for all the electronics it possessed.
Good morning 🌞🌞🌄🌄 Mitch. It's always a pleasure seeing you and watching your awesome 💯😎 videos 📷📸. You are so incredible and amazing at what you do. Thank you for making my day. May the good Lord always bless you and keep you safe and healthy where ever you go
Hey Mitch! I enjoyed the tunes throughout this video. I felt like I was back at a dance club in the '90s (fitting, as this car is from that decade)! Nice job as usual 👍
I've got a leather stain on my middle compartment that won't come out. It's a pretty thick, mushy leather. Any recommendations on the type of product/tool I should use?
303 has been my go to for years. Good for outside plastic and interior. Nothing like it. Holds a shine and protects without letting dust stick for a month or months. Best product on the market. Pay a little more but worth it.
Just wanna say, I’ve been these videos a lot lately and it’s making me wanna get into car detailing myself. I’m gonna see about getting some of your stuff for Christmas and trying it out for the first time once it starts getting warm again (I have nowhere to do any detailing except my driveway, I’m not doing it in the cold 😂). Wish me luck and thanks for the always awesome content!!
And Mitch if you happen to see this, the fabric on the doors in this car is it the same cleaning process as the rest of the carpeting? And what about heavy stains on the ceiling?
He inspired me too! I got a bunch of equipment and sprays etc to detail a car we were gonna sell...... LET ME TELL YOU, there's SOOOOOO many surfaces you gotta clean. I was DRIPPING sweat when I did mine. 😂
That wasn't too bad with the pine needles. The vehicles with the blood and that one with the pet urine was really gross. You do amazing work, I wish I was in Canada I'd take my car to you to get detailed ❤
I would have liked to seen how many pine needles there were in the shop vac. You sometimes do a reveal shot of dumping them out. Otherwise, great job per usual!

I remember asking a year or so ago if you cleaned the door weather seals, glad to learn of course you do. When cleaning detailing my own car, that's my least favorite task, they are always filthy and gunk up my cleaning clothes something awful.
My parents had a 98 caviler & 2 of my sister's & I had learned to drive with it. That little car took so much abuse, I even drove it fast and ended up in the corn field after harvesting. I drove right out & fixed the flat tire at school. The paint had some faded marks on it hinting it was a police car.
What a CRAZY transformation on this Sunfire!

I just ordered more! I used up all the ceramic spray on all our vehicles! We have more vehicles than drivers 🤣🤣🤣 I did use it on my snowmobile as well. All shined up and ready for another winter of fun.
What sprayer do you use for the seats?

I do too.
Same. When GM axed brands in the Malaise era, I would have sacrificed other brands & kept Pontiac around. What a shame.
For me it was Oldsmobile.

I don't know why but I really like watching the tires getting cleaned and all that oxidized rubber and dirt come off very satisfying

it turned out amazing for it being 25 years old (Pontiac went under in 2010 when General Motors filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy)

I'm from the U.S and I had a hunter green 2002 Chevy Cavalier sedan. It got totalled. Very good on gas and reliable.
Had a couple of the sunfires as hire cars when we holidayed in Canada for three months in 99. We loved driving them around BC and Alberta.
Really satisfying videos 😁 keep it up bro
This was my 2nd car ever!!! Loved it.
Awesome job on cleaning up the old pontiac sunfire
Nice. Still waiting to see you clean the instrument panel and steering column. 👍😉
Pretty cool rendition of Johnny Be Good :). And the car cleaning was definitely fun to watch.
That’s was such a satisfying video and I liked the cleaning of the window weather strips as well!
Very well done. Your effort made all the difference. Thank you for sharing.
You did a great job on this car. Hope the owner finds a new buyer for this Sunfire.
