I can't really imagine either. I grew up with three younger siblings and my parents had their main car from when I was 4 to when I was 27. We were always allowed to eat in the car and the most cleaning it ever saw on the inside was a vacuum and it never looked anywhere close to this car. Granted, the seats were grey but light enough it would have shown any significant amounts of filth. The most likely scenario I could see for seats like these would be workers in greasy overalls, every work day for a decade or more.

Being an old detailer myself people don’t realize what the hard work that went into this. I remember an episode of Pimp my ride where 5he man recked the car twice after the fixed this is utterly disgusting to keep your car this filthy I’m sorry 😣 . I dont want to judge but I genuinely can't wrap my head around how it got this filthy. There's what seems to be dozens and dozens of different spills on the seats. Even if they rolled around in mud and sat back in their car it wouldnt look this dirty. It's insane. I know someone whose car is around 25 yrs old, cloth seats never cleaned and they look fine.
That's what I want to know too. Literally HOW did this happen.
I'm thinking it may have been bought dirty and never detailed maybe just like vacuumed and then it was used by the current owner and you can tell they have kids

Lol. There is no excuse for the vehicle being that dirty and I don't care what type of Life they live or kind of people they are. You take care of the things that mean the most to you and your car is kind of a reflection of your lifestyle, and to me it just showed that they were lazy and irresponsible. I clean and fully detail my car once every week and everyone else should do that too and if you're too busy or just can't bother to do at least that then you need to change your life. Keep their vehicles in immaculate condition so again no excuses. We should be holding humans to a higher standard than that because that is not a good example for their kids or anyone else's kids.

I knew a family that had 10 children and owned a 12 passenger van. Every weekend i would see 3 of their kids cleaning the van top to bottom, inside and out. I thought it was odd at the time, but know I get it.

As a parent to another, NO MORE EATING IN THE CAR. NO SNACKING NO EATING NO DRINKS OTHER THAN PLAIN OLD WATER
And if you have children, buy a car with black seats, so that the dirt is not seen so much (except in this case because this family is very dirty, imagine their house). Educate your children.
