BEST way to clean car take carpet out of the car so it will clean properly below the carpet and carpet also. and their will no nasty smell in the car and car will clean beautifully
You need bio hazard pay. The amount of stuff people do to their car from within is just absolutely unimaginable. As always, you are always putting out great content and the music/talking is spot on. You truly have a gift!
Can we all just take a minute to sigh in appreciation for this high quality carpet? Even when he was vacuuming, you could see it was a high pile carpet that would end up looking new.
For most disastrous vehicle, I think this one takes the cake. The fact anyone would let their vehicle get this way or purposely trash it due to the repo is beyond me. As always, it turned out a-MA-zing!

Probably the best work I've ever seen you do. Fantastic transformation and so much hard work and time invested into it. You're a master of your craft and it's great to have detailers like yourself across the pond from us! Take care buddy and keep up tje fantastic work! From Bournemouth in the UK Best wishes Mark
I don't know how expensive car carpets are but I would've bought a new one. Depending on the price. But I think it should be possible to buy any kind of carpet and fit it in. I'm not an expert so I might be wrong
@Sparky's home cookin & restaurant reviews I have two kids and I would never let my car even get a fraction of this bad. Every time I get out of the car I get everything out of it and I don’t let people eat in it. I wash my kid’s car seat at least monthly and vacuum weekly. I can’t imagine someone letting their kids live in filth like this… I just don’t get it. I applaud anyone who does this for a living, because I couldn’t keep my mouth shut or clean up after this kind of negligence. It’s super satisfying to watch though
As someone who washes and cleans their vehicle inside and out on a weekly basis, I don’t know how this can get this bad. Even after roadtrips with the family for a week, I’ve never seen anything remotely close to this bad, and I also work in construction! Kudos to you for the transformation. Lots of patience and time went into something like this.
I'm sorry Mr. Stauffer, I would have definitely taken that carpet out and flushed the underside thoroughly. I had a car where the owner spilled a quart of gravy in the back seat, the ONLY way to get that nasty goo out was flushing it out 4 or 5 times with hot water and detergent, followed by 2 ozone treatments.
Same. I also would not bother using extractor on mats. Just solution and pressure wash then air dry, that's it. He is expending too much electricity and effort on extracting moldy carpets.
@@tylerjoseph7378 some carpets are super easy, and some are much more difficult. I guess it depends on the model, center console and how many rows of seats.
Your comment about how everything in here was sticky, brought up a memory from my childhood. Once I opened a honey bear from the groceries all over the backseat of mom's car. I still remember how upset dad was when he had to clean it out of the upholstery that had all those little holes in it.
Absolutely. The stink will remain with the car until the bottom trim pieces are removed and cleaned, the carpet removed and cleaned (underside included), and the metal frame is scrubbed. All the liquid is pooled below the carpets. I like his videos, but the quality of this job was extremely subpar.
@@nthomas87 I agree there are big problems lurking underneath that carpet and the only real fix is to remove it and clean both sides, dispose of the padding and insulation/sound proofing and replace it with new material after steam cleaning the floor pan. If it were me I'd have the seatbelts replaced and the seats redone at an upholstery shop as well. Probably replace the headliner. But work like that would cost a ton of money. It appears he did this job for free, and the owner may not have been prepared to pay for the full restoration this truck obviously needs. If this vehicle was bought at auction with the intent to clean it up and flip it for a profit, this may be considered good enough to at least get it sold, moving the remaining problems to the next owner. Not saying that's ideal for a vehicle you or I would be wiling to climb into, but it's the economic reality if someone wants to make some money off that truck. At least this way the worst of the mess is tackled at apparently no cost to current owner, and the truck is now ready to have another round of restoration done by someone who actually intends to keep and drive it. Given those limitations, I don't think the quality of this job was subpar at all. Looked to me like he did a pretty thorough job dealing with the worst aspects of this nightmare. I look at it like emergency room treatment: get the patient stable before sending them off to surgery.😁
i agree but in a lot of cars you can’t even take the carpet out bc of how they built the car and out the carpet it in. i’m sure he would have taken it out if he could have.
Vehicle turned out looking great! I can’t imagine though the amount of bio refuse and bugs, bug eggs and spillage junk on the underside of that carpet on the chassis floor however. I would have pulled the carpets and cleaned underneath pressure washed and clean the chassis floor as well.

Wow, I have to say your work and labor being put into this Ram was a complete 180 transformation. I would even say unrecognizable. The owners obviously share no appreciation for their vehicle which is truly unfortunate due to the state the car was in, and you were able to provide them with a new given opportunity that they will be grateful for as long as the car lives. That car was not intentionally trashed to screw over the company having it repoed. Throughout my years as a mechanic I have unfortunately seen a lot of cars this bad & worse. Since the radio, instrument cluster and drivers seat isn't nearly as bad as the rest of the vehicle that indicates that they were driving around with their vehicle like that. Some people are very disgusting and live in filth, I would hate to see their house if they keep their car like that.
Happy Sunday Stauffer Garage crew, I want to thank you for spending your Sunday morning watching my latest video! Means a ton to me! This truck is officially the nastiest vehicle I have ever cleaned! If you agree or disagree, leave a comment and let me know!
I agree. This was the stickiest, gooiest and moldiest detail I've seen you make clean and drive-able again. I can only guess what was on the floor mats and back seat. Glad I wasn't eating while watching.
A real bio hazard, surprisingly you were not in hazmat gear. Your very comfortable taking seats in and out, I know you have an engineering background, any pointers ? I’ve been afraid of air bags going off, I had one today where I would have opted to take out the seats but wanted a liability release from the customer.
I did auto detailing for a few years and it's much harder than people might think. I have a permanent bad shoulder because of it. This is on a whole different level though. Nice work.
Im here because my husband stained the car seat and today while cleaning it I felt like divorce sounded good but after watching this he aint that bad and niw i know how to fix it . Thanks 👍
Bro, I had a 2014 Ram 3500HD single rear axle with a long bed crew cab and thank GOD it had the rubber floor and denim seat covers because I beat the hell out of that truck. It was a 6.7 Cummins and I worked (and still do) in the oilfield hauling equipment from our shop to location (a gas well pad) all over Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, and I practically lived in that truck. When I turned it in for auction it had close to 200,000 miles on it of really hard abuse pulling a 36' flatbed trailer and many times it was WAY overloaded, but it just took it and kept going. I seriously loved that truck. I drive a big truck in the oilfield now, but I work for a totally different company doing something completely different. I will never forget that beautiful white Ram though.
yeah you're an animal. total beast for accomplishing this! I've done many disgusting details and this is just unbelievable . I stopped doing these because even though I used ppe gloves respirators, I got sick from moldy cars and only keep vehicles brand new. not worth it but satisfying to remember the transformation and see it again. keep up the amazing job and videos
I was a car detailer for a few years for various car dealerships so I know your pain brother! Although I've never had one this bad to do I've seen some cars that just absolutely leave one puzzled
I’ve picked up enough work trucks for auction or repair to know that it’s absolutely possible for some people to exist like this. No thoughts of vengeance necessary. Some people just don’t notice and don’t care.
Even though you did an amazing job on this vehicle I would not want to be the next owner, I have a feeling that maintenance was never done, disgusting but awesome video 👍😁
Found new relaxing videos to watch when I can’t sleep haha. Also I have a steering wheel cover! My interior and steering wheel is black leather, and I live in Texas. I have burned myself before when I get in my car after it’s been sitting in the sun and go to start driving haha. Keeps that from happening! I take it off in the wintertime.
I almost gagged and puked when I saw the interior of this truck, I would imagine that the smell was horrific. How can people live this way! Fantastic detailing job! 100/10
There's one thing that I used to love when I was working detailing. Any belongings, it's an absolute MUST to leave them as they lay and clean around them. Don't even pick up that penny in the cup holder. Some people would leave absolute nightmare things for us. For example, one lovely lady had 3 used condoms with knots in them (small victory..) on the parcel shelf. "You must leave it as it lays.." A small part of me just loved sending back cars absolutely immaculate save for the "present" the customer left.
Honestly. I would have left those mats in the sun to kill that mold first and then after a couple of hours, go straight to pressure washing. That amount of mold is dangerous
I would of soaked them in a sink in dishsoap vinegar combo for at least hours and then scrubbed them out and extracted them and let them sun dry just to make sure they were clean cause that was horrid ..
some people have commented about how the carpet should have been pulled and cleaned underneath but every detail comes at a cost and some owners are not willing to pay the extra time it takes to do this regardless how much its needed. you can clean the whole car down to the frame with a toothbrush if the person is willing to pay. there is a balance of cost and time spent.
I've been a level 1 maybe level 2 hoarder. My car isn't nearly this bad but it's still pretty bad. I've been on antidepressants and vitamin D3 (was very deficient) and my happiness is improving. I want to do better. I've already made good strides in the house but I still need to tackle the car. Once I've cleaned it up as much as I can I'll get a detail clean. This video gives me hope cause if this vehicle can be saved then mine certainly can.
I was having anxiety just looking at how horrible this truck was left in, then you made me feel better with the end results! To think some people treat their vehicles like that UGHHHHH!!!!
I'm getting my 2004 Ford expedition detailed today. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow!😊 and yes, it was filthy! I brought it from a woman that didn't take care of it!

Absolutely incredible!! New sub and definitely going to shop for some products!
I think I would be wearing a hazmat suit for this.
I for sure should pick one up!
Even watching you do your work, I'm still convinced you're MAGIC!!!
There have been a lot of bad ones like that one with the hoarder's civic, but this, this takes the cake.
I agree
I would have burned the floor mats and get new ones
Man that was a nasty interior can’t imagine how many microfiber clothes you went through lol
The hand sanitizer in there was a huge dose of irony (and comedy)
Steam cleaner and more PPE 😂
There's one thing that I used to love when I was working detailing.
Any belongings, it's an absolute MUST to leave them as they lay and clean around them. Don't even pick up that penny in the cup holder. Some people would leave absolute nightmare things for us. For example, one lovely lady had 3 used condoms with knots in them (small victory..) on the parcel shelf. "You must leave it as it lays.."
A small part of me just loved sending back cars absolutely immaculate save for the "present" the customer left.
hahhahahhaha that would be hilarious.
@@StaufferGarage Funny retelling the story to the boss and the boys out back during lunch but at the time, I was NOT impressed 😂
Honestly. I would have left those mats in the sun to kill that mold first and then after a couple of hours, go straight to pressure washing. That amount of mold is dangerous
Yeah it was bad. Other option is spray it all with vinegar too
I would of soaked them in a sink in dishsoap vinegar combo for at least hours and then scrubbed them out and extracted them and let them sun dry just to make sure they were clean cause that was horrid ..
I'd soak them in cleaning/rubbing alcohol because there are approximately 20% types of mold that withstand even the most thorough vinegar bath...
Bless those floor mats for absorbing so much of that disaster. 😆😆
I don't know how they stood up to it!
Genteeee... não tem um milímetro desse carro que não esteja imundo...imagino a casa dessa gente!!😱
My thoughts exactly
The owner was just about to take a shit into that truck.
😮 detailers are amazing. I wonder if ya'll feel a bit fuzzy whenever you need to clean dirts/molds. Mad respect ya'll!!!! 👍🙇
Not at all, just tired lol
That was just pewtrid. You are most certainly a master at your craft sir!
Thanks Tony
I would never be able to do a job like this I can't imagine how anyone could
DADDY USES AUTO MAGIC PRODUCTS!!! AUTO APPEARANCE AUTO DETAILING! APPEARANCE is EVERYTHING!!
I’m so amazed of this transformation 😊
بعض الحيوانات انظف من بعض البشر الحمدلله على نعمة الاسلام
What a change! Even after only vacuuming the thing already started to look like an actual car
Спасибо вам за такую работу, я отдохнула пока кушала и смотрела это видео. )😍
Man I gave you a thumbs up because you are a brave to even get in their car
some people have commented about how the carpet should have been pulled and cleaned underneath but every detail comes at a cost and some owners are not willing to pay the extra time it takes to do this regardless how much its needed. you can clean the whole car down to the frame with a toothbrush if the person is willing to pay. there is a balance of cost and time spent.
Bingo and my latest vid I did do it. I do these for free and solo (film/detail/etc) so I have to also manage time invested
You're a very brave person. Salutes 👍👍
dude, that was amazing. that truck was frickin gross. you guys did a hell of a job
I was having anxiety just looking at how horrible this truck was left in, then you made me feel better with the end results! To think some people treat their vehicles like that UGHHHHH!!!!
Heck!!! You needed a hazmat suit with that one!!!!
There is no human reason to have this car as dirty as is. How can sit on it? Amazing clean work!!
I almost threw up at the 9:30 mark when the ooze oozed out of the carpet.... Urgh.
Good job man and hats off!
That is a huge turnaround. I probably hit it with the hose first. Great job.
what an awesome collaboration 😅 great job ❤
You missed a spot on the side of the bottom cushion in the back seat. 😂
How dare you ;)
I'm getting my 2004 Ford expedition detailed today. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow!😊 and yes, it was filthy! I brought it from a woman that didn't take care of it!
