"Can you walk AND chew?" 😂 Genuine banter between two buddies. I bet your outtake library is a gold mine. Great information as well. Awesome video guys.
Love the Core Tackle hoover rig. Glad you guys did this vid/category. While Ryugi has had these hooks for awhile, Core was first to add the weight. It has really taken off. Merry Christmas guys!!
Honestly didn’t expect this for one of the buyers guides but glad yal did it. It’s something I’ve been wanting to try out and now I have a good starting point and always love adding a new technique to the arsenal
I am one of the fishos who was not aware of these techniques. I also don’t have electronics. I fish from an inflatable kayak or from the bank. Your presentation made me very interested in trying these out. Sounds like fun!
Tim & Mat loving the buyer's guide videos! Picking some of these items up you have been covering that I haven't used before! With you guys linking all the products below makes it easy and convenient! Thanks for all the work you guys put in to help your fellow anglers!
Good morning thas awesome im trt this in the Illinois river tomorrow thankz Tim and Matt for sharing all the knowledge to us hope I become a better fisherman's
Excellent Video Guys 💪😋👍 Hoover strolling is a topic that caught my eye already, have not tried the technique yet. Still gearing up i guess plus temperatures are still around 10*C with a lot of wind. Sometimes we get the occasionally freezing Cold nights in between but nothing steady. I hope the hard water periode is still F A R far far away.😃🎣
For the mid strolling (aka Biwa Rig), if I could only have 1 it would be the Raid fish roller with either a Deps midst head or Ichikawa outbarb head (1/0 for the 3", 3/0 for the 4" fish roller). If around cover either the Picasso weedless ball head or Gamakatsu weedless ball head. The OSP DoLive stick is also legit. A good ball jighead is crucial to get the good rolling action out of the bait as you work it back. The standard Damiki rig is just strolling, while mid strolling (Biwa Rig) is working it through the column instead of on a straight drop like Gussy won the classic with. Also the Duo Realis BR head with the Bay Ruff soft plastic is a game changer. For hover rig, standard iMotion Japanese style, the OSP mylar minnow on the Ryugi or Decoy weedless hook with a 1/96 Ryugi adjust nail weight is my favorite. The Fish Arrow j-flash is also a solid choice, and works great on a wheel head too. *Edit: any of these on BFS in creeks is as fun as gets and will catch fish when nothing else will. Also when working it on a baitcaster, think walking a smaller frog on a xh rod but the inverse, you're almost barely moving your thumb up and down to shake the rod.
I have staight hammered them this year using these techniques 2 baits I love are the Jackall Rhythm wag and my favorite due to it's triangular shape for hover strolling is the 6th sense juggle minnow do not sleep on this bait. I use my Daiwa tatula 7' 6" hair jig rod paired with a 3000 excense and I love the sunline pink d-braid in 7lb with a 6lb sniper leader
🍺The Core Tackle Hover rig is one of the best fish catching techniques/baits in my box. I wish you would have shown it a little more then you did. If you try them you will not be disappointed🤠.
🍺Matt Stefan and Jonny Schultz hover rig works great. They also have the Ozark rig which has replaced my Texas rig because application because it’s a better/easier and more effective way to catch them🤠.
Bought me some Sculpin after watching one of your earlier Vids along with some of Matt's hover rigs . Going to check how they work here in South Africa snd Zimbabwe
I tried the ryugi hover shot hook and fish arrow flash j. Super cool looking but a dink magnet in south Florida. I couldn’t believe how small and thin that hook was (ordered online from tw). I need to try these on jig heads with stouter hooks and bigger soft plastics
It would be really awesome if someone partnered with these guys to sell bundles of baits from these videos, or selling the specific rigs individually. Obviously it cost more, but you could try different setups to see what works for you, then go to your bait shop and buy the packs of hooks/plastics. Probably really difficult to make that profitable without charging way more than people would want to pay.
How bout just a TB monthly subscription box. I don’t care if it cost more. If these guys put the best baits in the box it’s worth it. Just knock out all other subscription boxes.
@@SolidMango-gh3jk probably could work. Like I said, you get a chance to try out soemthing to see if it actually works before you buy a bunch of hooks, plastics and weights. If something works for you can then go to TW ow wherever and load up. I wouldn’t want this for cranks and stuff like that though.
TT Lures, the brand that collaborates with Z-Man to make most of their headlockz jigheads, also makes a different line called the Hidden Weight System, or HWS. It's the perfect hook for those looking for thicker wire but in the hover strolling technique. They go all the way down to 1 gram, so even in finesse fishing it's still applicable. I've seen how you stock your website with TT Lures under the Z-Man category. It'd be a waste not to stock their HWS hooks as well now that Hover Strolling is catching on.
@@rayvanacore4889 Yeah true. with forward facing sonar I think the method had a reawakening a little. I know that Jacob wheeler won a tournament sometime recently with it too which helped push it a bit.
Love the look of the baits but watched a couple RUclips vids on it and looks like the tear apart easily unless fished on a shaky type head with screw lock 🤷♂️
Call me old fashioned but I'm just gonna put a real worm on my hook, toss it out there, sip my beer and relax. No need for all this talk of fancy rigging and death spirals.
Probably no need for you to follow these guys then. Literally anyone can toss a live worm out there and sit and wait. This is for people who are interested in fishing.
"Can you walk AND chew?" 😂 Genuine banter between two buddies. I bet your outtake library is a gold mine. Great information as well. Awesome video guys.
They should do a blooper vid on New Years recapping the year.
I don't know about that. You see very few cuts in their videos.
Really enjoying those hover rigs. I’m also a big Matt Stefan fan, so I get to support his company, and catch fish on his tackle. It’s win win.
Love the Hover Jig. Matt Steffan hit one out of the park. The action sometimes reminds me of the Flying Lure.
Pretty cool how they are big fans of the Dirty Jigs Guppy head which used to be the Matt Stefan Guppy head!
Love the Core Tackle hoover rig. Glad you guys did this vid/category. While Ryugi has had these hooks for awhile, Core was first to add the weight. It has really taken off. Merry Christmas guys!!

@@fishing630addictionjcmg4 absolutely. Used to live up there, retired down here in TN. 👍
I enjoyed this video. It is a technique that I use occasionally, but I don't know a lot about it. So I appreciate the education. Thanks for sharing.

Best one yet
Thank you!
Very interesting - had never heard of either of these techniques - as always, thank you for the education !
Learned something new.. that it had a name when I used to do it back in 1992. What's old is new again! 😄

Also the Evergreen bass enemy stick is a great Biwa rig choice. Even has a piece of plastic to act as a weed guard.

Forgot about the tackle for one sec…. I need both of these hoodies!!! Asap! Thats what i want for xmas!
Love using the Core tackle rigs. And I’m not using on ffs.
The Berkeley flat worm and 6 th sense juggle minnow are great hover rig baits
What size nail weight with the Roboworm sculpin? 11:57
As always a great video. Thank you guys for all you do. Bang bang Amazon Amazon
Ha! Thanks!!
Love the information in your videos, the only good way to see the baits up close is Tackle warehouse good marketing 😂
When are y’all releasing the rod buyers guide?
2 more days 👍🏼

You gotta try the Megabass Destroyer P5 Flyssa for this. Great great rod.
If you want a close replacement for the sculpin, try the 6th Sense Glitch!

For strolling 3/16 to 1/2 oz , would you go ml Fast tip or or medium fast tip? Rod length 6’10” or 7’2”?
The keitech super round jig head is the absolute easiest and best imo
Guys - what are your thoughts on using Dobyns SUF740 for hover rig? Do you think the 0 power will be too underpowered?
Does the Damiki Armor Shad have a split belly or is it a solid bait?
I want to know do you use any little Big fish perler beads
It’s like crappie fishing for Bass
HOTTEST TECHNIQUE OUT APPARENTLY
they said it new fancy names for older styles of fishing.

They don’t support 6th sense much as it’s a direct competitor of their River2sea products.
Has anyone figured out a way to rig it weedless and still get the right action. I would love to try this around wood cover.
How long of a fc leader do you go with? Thanks!
I’ve been using Damiki rigs for ice fishing but this year Im going to try a hover rig, I feel like the spiral will be deadly

Can we get the rod buyers guide yet😢
Yes!! We had to wait for the rod sale to start... rod videos begin in 2 days 👍🏼
@@tacticalbassinThank You😂
What if you drop shot a hover rig? You can get that death spiral in one spot
Guess I'm going to have to give in and get FFS.
The “hover rig” doesn’t work with high salt plastics at all
Just received the hovering minnow the other day from Japan 😂 .weighted hooks not effective ino
Doyou guys or anyone know of a walleye channel like this?
Why can’t this technique work on a BFS ?
It can, but with BFS you're shaking your whole forearm... with spinning you're only shaking your wrist. It's just more cumbersome with a bait caster.
Just run out and buy 4 or 5 Stellas! Your wife won’t care! Lol!
Don’t switch sides your freaking us out lol Jk 😂
